The Fairfax Marriott is a great place to stay. The rooms are comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. The only down side is you need to guarantee your choice of beds otherwise you will not be given a choice. A mall is within walking distance of the hotel which is nice.

The hotel was comfortable, clean and I did not hear any noise from the adjacent room.

My husband and I recently stayed @ Marriot Fairfax Fair Oaks. We usually take a trip once or twice a year to a Sandals resort which I think has spoiled us. There are not too many hotels that can please us, but Marriot Fairfax @ Fair Oaks did! From the bellmen, to the front desk ( that really seemed happy to greet us ) to housekeeping. Everyone that we encountered were so friendly. Everyone said at least a 'hello' in passing. I don't think that we have ever stayed anywhere that we didn't have at least one complaint before. I would suggest this hotel to anyone. AND, the price is very reasonable.

This is really a great place to stay. Right next to a wonderful mall for shopping, quick and easy access to the MetroBus that will take you to the Metro subway into Washington, DC. However, we reserved three rooms for our group with king bed and sofa sleeper, one room did not have sleeper sofa. Just a regular sofa. Desk clerk asked if we wanted him to come pull out the sofa and we continued to explain to him it was NOT a sleeper sofa but he was welcomed to come try. He did come to the room and then stated "oh, this is not a sleeper sofa" and he never returned to correct the problem. One person just slept on the hard sofa and made due with extra covers we asked for. But...those who sleept in the king beds said it was wonderful, extra soft topper on all beds. Clerks at front desk were great assistance helping us with transportation to and from DC and airport. It is a little far from DC if you plan to spend a lot of time there and you will spend a lot on transportation but for a nice clean safe place to stay I say "it's worth it".

The Marriott was a nice place to stay. I really thought the room would of been bigger. I did like that the bathroom was separate from the vanity area. The location was excellent, close to the mall because I love shopping. Rooms were very clean. The only thing that I did not like was that I was on the last floor and it was a little noisey.

Lovely bedding and comfortable mattress. Towels could be more plush. Convenient location, amidst office buildings and highways in Fairfax: pleasant staff, clean, and comfortable.

room is very clean and neat and the atmosphere of the hotel is very warm... and also the bell boys out side and inside is very kind... i like the hotel very much.

This Marriott is located right in the Fair Oaks Mall parking lot and very easy to get to from all directions. The staff was pleasant and helpful, with quick response. The room was clean and comfortable. The beds, like most Marriotts, were GREAT! Add in the down pillows and you have a great sleep here (and I'm very picky due to back issues). Room Service was on time with our breakfast, the food was above average and didn't cost an arm & leg.The only negative I had to give was due to the pool being BROKEN and the spa having too much chlorine (almost gassed my daugter and I out of there)...I would without hesitation stay here again, and we travel to Washington, DC a few times a year, so I'm sure we'll be back.

Great value and location. Didn't like paying for internet service. Difficult to get back on the highway. This Marriott is new and beautiful. The grounds are very attractive and the staff are friendly and helpful. My room was well appointed - I slept very comfortably which is unusual for me when traveling.

My 13 yr old son & I stayed here while in the area to attend the Redskins/Cowboys game. We enjoyed our stay. Great for a family stay!! Quiet, relaxing, adjacent to shopping, safe, easy access, very friendly staff, clean, comfortable, beautiful inner atrium. Pool & hot tub open late & with a lifeguard!! We did order breakfast (room service) .......the muffin was cold as if just pulled out of the frig, the toast was cold, the eggs were cold......what should have been warm/hot was not & the eggs were to have cheese added, but cheese was added to the hash browns instead. Very dissatisfied with breakfast...a quick McDonald's breakfast would have been alot cheaper & better. If you need directions & the hotel offers you a printed map from the internet, ask them to not use Mapquest! Bring your own snacks....cost 3 for two regular size candy bars. Highly recommend

We came into town to visit family for the New Year and used the hotel as a base. The staff was always helpfull in directions to points of intrest. They couldn't do enough for us. Very nice stay.

The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. There was a prom or something going on and it seemed like teenage kids were very loud in the hallways way past midnight. Difficult to sleep. I had no problem with the hotel or the staff. Teenagers occupying some of the rooms on my floor were loud and disruptive. Couldn't sleep.

I know it sounds funny, but the room smelled really good.

It was clean and enjoyable. I was disappointed with the pool and Jacuzzi. The staff was good and it was nice and the bell hops were good.

Good location, clean but sterile. Uneducated, poorly motivated staff, front desk. Run-of-the-mill business hotel. Clean rooms, clean public areas - good location if doing business in Fairfax and surrounding areas. Don't ask for anything extra or out of the ordinary - staff simply not able to comprehend or accommodate. Be prepared to carry your own luggage and park your car. No assistance available and/or offered. Limited business offices - i.e. no conference rooms available on short notice.

Spacious lobby with coffee bar. And for the most part, friendly & helpful staff. Having to use the room key card in the elevator to access the floor (6th) we were on. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Quiet. Dirtyband aidon fire detector for 2 days even when staff made aware. Not bad, but no more than 2.5 stars and overrated for the money. Paid extra for use of laptop, but billed as a travelers hotel and a business center. Dirty band aid on fire detector for 2 days required 2 complaints and security assist to get it removed. It was quiet and generally clean but rugs were a bit worn or dirty. Staff was pleasant and location was convenient.
