Room was ok although it was equipped for disabled guests which felt a bit like parking in the allocated bay and depriving someone who may have needed it more.

Hotel was nice but very, very pricey. Restaurant menu was just OK but you could have gotten the same food in the bar for less. Compared to other hotels I stayed in in London Gatwick, this was much nicer.

Clean, large rooms, king size bed, good breakfast and very near to the bus station and airport.

Great hotelWe stayed here for 1 night in May. We usually stay in the centre of Edinburgh but due to Rugby this was the only Hotel we could get. The hotel was great,we had an executive room which was a fab size with kingsize bed, I thought I had lost my husband at one point. Bathroom was spotless and fab toiletries provided. We did not eat here so cannot comment. The Hotel was a bit far out for us as we like to be in the centre but transport to and from Edinburgh Centre was cheap and frequent. We did get a taxi home at night and this cost £12.00. Would recommend though.

All the staff was eager to do whatever we needed to be most comfortable. Nothing! The hotel was very clean, staff was friendly and helpful and it was very convenient to the airport. And the food was good as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall value great; one blemishThe overall impression of staying at Marriot Edinburgh was very good. The service is friendly and the hotel is conveniently located near a shopping mall (Gyle Shopping Centre). My only disapppointment is the hefty fee charged for internet connection. It would surely make the hotel much more firendly to guests (especially business guests) if the service is rendered free of charge. The Holiday Inn and Shangri-la hotels I've stayed at in Asia offer it free of charge these days.

Very nice staff. Outside of city centre. Great hotel. Staff is quite nice. It is an excellent hotel for the price.

Overnight stopoverThe ambience and comfort of the hotel was just right for us. Bar service was poor and the quality of the food was not good. However, the hotel was very comfortable and suited our requirements admirably.

The concierge was excellent! Very friendly & helpful! The internet was horribly slow. Too slow for this quality of a hotel. Nice, clean rooms. Great location. Excellent gym & pool facilities. Terrific concierge. Very poor, slow internet in the business center.

The rooms are very spacious and very comfortable. There is nothing about this hotel I did not like, except it could be closer to town center. I really like this Marriott hotel. They gave us two queen beds that had the typical cozy comforters on them. The room was spacious. This hotel is not in the city center, but is very easy to reach via the bus system. They have a bus stop right outside the hotel on the main street. It is about a 15 to 20 minute ride from the train station. I think this hotel is very close to the airport. I would stay here again as the rooms where spacious and the easy to which I could get on the bus to travel about town. Front desk staff was great.

Far from Edinburgh center. We stayed a 2 Marriott's and 2 Renaissance hotels this trip and unlike the US, the Renaissance hotels in Austria we superior to the Marriott hotels in Scotland.

Breakfast is busy when hotel is near full and each time I got up to get next course (buffet style) they cleared my table completely and re-laid the settings. I told one server that I had not finished & they still cleared me away! That said liked food, clean amenities, location, quiet room and helpful staff. Marriot website doesn't tell you that from Airport can catch no.35 bus to Gyle shopping centre, which is 4 mins walk from Hotel for £1.20 or the Airlink bus @ £3.50 has a bus stop right outside the hotel and this runs every 10mins. Need exact change. Would stay again for Lateroom price but not full price. Is about 1/2 hour to city centre by bus for £3 all day any bus - a bargain.

Very good service along with very nice accommodations. Door cards did not work well and internet cost too much to use. Close to the airport but far from the downtown area. Very good service from the staff and the rooms were great.

If I had been paying full price for the room I would have been very disappointed by the size of the room and the lack of cupboard and drawer space available. I do realise that the hotel aims at the business end of the market where a lot of clients probably do not unpack their cases. However, in view of the fact that it was an executive room, it was rather inadequate.
