Stay anywhere else! Crappy experience all around.

As usual, at a Marriott they have no shame at padding the bill, but when you catch them at it, they are very polite and remove the "error". I always avoid charging anything to the room, the charges get muddy and it is easy to miss those "errors. If you have to do business at the Convention Center, unfortunately, this is the most convenient. It is connected by a walkway to the Convention Center. Other Hotels in the area are far worse. Also, it is difficult to walk in 105 degree heat, with very high air pollution levels, from any of the surrounding Hotels.

Convenient, local, fun, friendly staff and comfortable beds. Cleaning lady knocked on door at 9:00 am when check out isn't until noon. Great stay, will definitely use this hotel again in the future.

was not aware of the payed parking. so add $12.00 a night to the cost of your room. The trolly ran right in frount of the hotel, made getting around easy, and cheap (all day pass $3.)

Excellent location - on the tram line, near Beale St and Civil rights Museum. Parking costs $12 extra. Excellent location, friendly staff, coffee shop reasonably priced and fresh coffee and breakfast foods.

Did not have night light in restroom. Light in bath did not work properly. No trash disposal on floor. Coffee maker had to be moved. Did not have sauna it was turned into a towel room. Service industry was great and very polite . The breakfast was very good.

Bedding was comfortable and felt good; nice variety of food at the breakfast bar; cute waffles. Bathroom shower was not separate; nothing to contain water in the shower area.

Nice malls within a reasonable distance from the hotel. On the Trolly line for easy access to Beale Street. A fun time to be had.

Convenient to freeway. Too noisy - late night events and loud guests. Nice bedding and room accommodations. Room service/restaurant closed too early (11 p.m.)

We went to Beale Street. The Hotel was noisy, the door to our room had no sound proofing whatsoever. The room temperature was either too hot or too cold. The shower was terrible and you could hear water running all night. I liked the closeness to the trolley route.

Great workout facility and easy transportation access. Pay to park. Great location. Street car pick you up outside hotel and heads right to Beale Street. Nicest workout facility I have ever been at a hotel. Spacious rooms!

Fine, comfortable room, nice staff, i didn't realize no shampoo was left until i was already in the shower. That was disappointing.

It was a great place, very friendly people. Clean, smaller room than I thought, but comfortable. A little farther from activity than I expected (15-20 minute walk) but still on the trolley line. The restaurant is nice, good buffet.

Waited for a long time to get to the counter because staff was busy talking amongst themselves, when I finally got to the counter was not greeted was just asked ?can I help you??I mean what the heck! Gave my info, got the room key, waited to be directed to the correct bank of elevators but was not, so we finally gave up and figured that out. We got to the room and it reeked of smoke. We went out to the lobby to check the label by the door and it said NON SMOKING Room. Called front desk, told the woman, she rudely said FINE hung up. Went back down carrying luggage, had to wait AGAIN. Finally reached the counter was asked again ?can I help you?? Explained the situation, and after the staff behind the counter deliberated, was given another room. No apologies, nothing just the key. The rest of the weekend was fine because we avoided the entire staff. FYI: don?t even think of asking anyone for recommendations because you will just be directed to a display of touristy sites and restaurants?so forget about wanting to venture off the beaten path. I will NEVER stay at this hotel AGAIN.

The hotel location and overall appearance was very nice. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The hotel was very nice. My daughters and I really enjoyed our stay. It is a very pretty hotel and has a great location in Memphis.

There is no airport van. By the time our plane arrived late afternoon, we found the taxi ride in rush-hour traffic from the airport quite long and pricey. Check in was very slow and they had no concierge desk separate from check in, so everyone (with the usual questions) took very long to check in. The bell staff was very accommodating in getting taxis for us, but we had a terrible time getting taxis and often had to wait for them to call one as none were waiting. The room we did receive was newly remodeled and quite attractive, although on the back side facing the driveway with a distant view of other parts of the city. We ate breakfast at the restaurant and found the service was generally lacking and unattentive. We would not stay here again and found it was too far from the main attractions (Beale Street/Peabody Plaza) to walk, requiring numerous taxis. We loved our trip to Memphis (BB. King, Graceland, Rock n Soul Museum, Sun and STAX records, etc.) in spite of these experiences. Can recommend Paulette's and Encore restaurants highly.

Staff was very helpful and professional. The Marriott Downtown Memphis is one of the best hotels in Memphis. Appropriate for business or leisure and family friendly. The staff is warm and engaging, true ambassadors for the city of Memphis.

It was very convient for us because it was across the street from the Cannon Center and trolley station. If you want to stay Downtown, this is the best hotel for you!
