Went for a 3 day holiday.Close to Turner field. Cab ride only $10.00 each way. Aquairum, CNN and Coca Cola close by within walking distance.Staff very nice and helpful. Rooms well appointed except need small fridge for medicines, beverages, etc. Will stay there again. Valet parking a little pricey tho at $28.00 per night but felt car was secure.

Nothing. That they didn't have free WiFi, and free continental breakfast.

Just spent 4 nights at this hotel, and must say I enjoye them very much. Hotel has GREAT location (we were at a conference at the World Congress Center - 10 min. walk), very nice room, clean, and a very courteous staff. Good breakfeast buffet was $15. For those complaining about parking fares, they should check normal fares for any parking in downtown. All fares are high, but they are probably the same in any major city. Overall, I would definetively stay at this hotel again. PS - If you want a VERY nice (although expensive) dinner with a loved one, go accross the street to the Westin. Top floor has the Sun Dial Room. 72nd Floor rotating view of the city. Excellent food and service. Worth every penny!

The hotel was quite nice from the outside, and upon entering it was very nice once you overlooked the construction. My only problem was that the walls must be made of paper because you could hear everything! I had to listen to the folks next to me at 7 am talking about magnifying glasses for half an hour! I could hear them open their suitcase the walls were so thin. It is such a shame because the hotel was nice and the staff was very friendly, but who wants to hear everything going on next door? I think I will pass on this hotel next time I am traveling through Atlanta.

Our double beds were very cramped and the A/C was so loud it woke me up everytime it came on. I am a pretty sound sleeper if this gives you any idea. Those things were tolerable. WHAT WAS NOT TOLERABLE is the valet scraped our new dodge charger on the ramp into the parking garage and the manager assured us they would take care of the damage. This car was dent and scratch free. We are the people who park in the back of a parking lot just so people won't park next to us. Marriott and their contract with AAA Parking has declined our claim 3 times and told us on the phone that they deny all claims of this nature. So I have no idea what claims they actually pay. So if you don't want to risk your car being damaged I suggest you not book a room at this hotel. We WERE loyal Marriott reward customers and use Marriott hotel exclusively for our yearly Spring break Williamsburg Virginia trips. Marriott, if you are reading this I will revise all my reviews when the situation is rectified.

my sister and i needed a getaway and atlanta was the best choice. we had a wonderful time walking in the downtown area shops. our hotel provided us with the convenience of the towns transit system.our bellman were so sweet and polite and easy on the eye. each night we purchased ice cream from the gift shop that ran all night. security was tight and we even had drinks with a celebrity at the hotel bar. we will be back!

The rooms are tastefully decorated and I love the bedding in Marriots. The room service beer selection was pretty crappy. I really enjoy Marriots. They have always been clean with friendly staff.

I agree with the 2 previous reviewers. All fhe elements are there for a 3 star hotel. The bathroom is slightly cramped. But the hotel is elegant and the staff are helpful and friendly. But I think the downtown hotels should make allowances for travelers who want to leave their cars in one place for their stay. It is an insult to us to have to pay that much just to accomodate our cars so that we can have peace of mind while we are there for a 2 or 3 day stay. Please give us a discount if we do not plan to move our cars!

When we first Got to the hotel we were greeted by the front staff and the valet. They were all very friendly and helpful and our check in was very quick and easy. The rooms where a good size and had a good view. We immediately went to look around and found that the location was perfect. The main attraction were five minutes walk away ( the aquarium, the park etc) The hotel is also close to quite a lot of restaurants and peach street shopping mall. Our rooms were cleaned everyday and there is an onsite restaurant and bar. The hotel also provide room service :-). It was very easy to get a taxi as there is a taxi service right across the hotel, which the valet immediately hailed for you. We booked the hotel from cheap tickets which gave as a very good price. The hotel is suited for everyone really and i will definetly go back on our next trip.

I selected the Marriott Downtown because of its location. I was within walking distance of many tourist spots but was also near the MARTA when I needed the rapid transit. I did take the MARTA to the Civic Center to take in the King Tut expo (which was great) and also to the History Center. My room was very nice and it was peaceful with the exception of one night, when a group of cheerleaders were in town for a competition. Management was quick to come up to their rooms several times when I complained about the noise late at night.

I love the 'Marriott' and normally this is the only hotel that I really enjoy staying. I always book 'Marriott' in whatever city we are staying in - I love rhe convenience and the service. The Atlanta Downtown Marriott - (160 SW) the service was great -very close to the Georgia Dome.My daughter and I decided to catch the Marta and go shopping, our first experience, and the gentlemen, Michael, Kenya helped us a lot, getting a map and showing us where to go and how to return. Now that is service with a smile.THANKS,THE WILSON FAMILY(TSU,Nashville, alumni)

The Marriott Atlanta Downtown's location was incredible. We could walk to our convention at the Georgia World Congress Center and also to dinner every night. Our room was very comfortable, so much so we stayed an extra night. The room service was great and the staff was always professional and quick. We will definitely stay in Marriott hotels in the future. They are always consistent with the service and cleanliness no matter what city we're in.
