I asked for the person checking in to locate my Marriot rewards number and he told me that he could not. I'm sorry but I am an elite member and I usually have to have it looked up because I carry too many cards. I found that rude. There was not an area or courtyard to sit outside. It is very claustrophobic to have only interior rooms without courtyard. And I was not extended my marriot perks or room. When I checked out and HAD the number (I got my husband to look up) He acted put out to even add it. I did not get my paper at the door during my 3 day stay, nor did I get my bill under the door.

Clean, comfortable, pleasant decor, efficient service and a great location. I missed a snack/bar in the room. But the stay was excellent.

I went down to Portland for the 4th of July weekend. The location was fabulous and easily accessible. Great stay except for the gym being closed for renovations and the hotel being unable to fulfill their promise of 4 free movie tix. Excellent valet service and super clean and quiet rooms.

Friendly staff. Very nice clean, hotel located in downtown Portland, we love staying right in the middle of things and this hotel was fantastic!

The hotel was everything we expected and we would suggest this property to anyone. The location is central with only a short drive or rail from PDX. The staff in all phases were very good and more than willing to go out of there way to assist us. We did no appreciate the 27 per night for car storage. The conciere was absolutely great and went the extra mile to find any and all things we showed an interest in. The folks of Portland are fun and friendly, the coast is dramatic, wine was quite good and the Columbia/Cascades areas are just plain beautiful.

A friend and I stayed here and partied in downtown Portland. It was great to come to a convienant location within walking distance of everything fun in downtown. It was also a pleasure to come back to a clean room and a comfy bed after a hard night of partyin. I also must mention that the room was nice and dark, quiet for sleeping at night.

Downtown location. We were planning several activities in the downtown area - only for one evening. The Marriott provided a level of quality, comfort and safety we could count on. Great match for us.

I would highly recommend the Marriott Portland City Center. The hotel renovation is evident not only by the rooms decor, but also the functionality of the heating and air conditioning system. The staff was friendly and the bed linens were superb. I will definitely stay here on my next visit.

As in my previous stays at the Marriott, I had a very pleasant experience. I was able to check in early, the room was ready. I had called ahead to make sure I could get a room with two beds plus a Roll-A-Way Bed added. No problem. The location is perfect for the places we went. All with-in walking distance. The room was great and roomy. WE had a very nice time.

The room was very nice and the location was unbeatable. The ridiculous price of internet use. The location was great, but the parking and the wireless were ridiculously expensive. Other than that, the staff was very friendly and the room was nice.

Stayed here for 2 nights, were very impressed with the friendly, courteous, professional staff. The room was recently renovated - plush bedding and nice bathroom. Car valet staff were extremely prompt and helpful. Excellent breakfast buffet at Shula's."

The Marriott City Center Hotel in downtown Portland, OR is at a great location in the heart of the downtown. The hotel is surrounded by all kinds great shopping points, all within a few blocks distance. The Tri-Met MAX Lite rail station at Pioneer Square was just 1 and 1/2 blocks from the hotel. This service connects, Hillsboro, Beaverton, and the Portland international Airport, among other places. The room service was great. The staff were very friendly. I enjoyed my stay and would be definitely staying there again.

Centrally located near lots of restaurants. No parking on site. The room was nice and large and clean and quiet. The lack of parking was annoying but there was a garage nearby and we saved $10 by parking there ourselves rather than use the valet parking. Great location if you want to be near Pioneer Square and the downtown shopping.

Great location downtown, super clean room, although somewhat small. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was a pain...guess all of downtown is like that though.

This hotel is at a great location, very close to the light rail station (you can take the train to go to the airport), close to stores and restaurants.

Great downtown central location. Valet parking was very expensive. Great location. Good for romantic get away or business travelers. Valet parking was excessively expensive than local overnight garage parking.

The Portland Marriott City Center was the perfect place to hub out of on a recent leisure trip to the Northwest. It was easy to navigate to from the airport, within easy walking distance of ALL the features of central Portland (Riverfront Marina, Chinatown, Pearl District, downtown shopping and dining), and just a few blocks from the highways we took for day-trips. We had the advantages of staying in the middle of downtown, and yet it was 30 minutes to Willamette Valley wine country. Even though we strayed wide and far during the day, we looked forward to coming home every night where the valet parking staff recognized us and took our keys, the lounge staff offered up a nice glass of wine, and we had the option of eating in at the lounge/Shula's or walking 1-2 blocks to several excellent restaurants. The staff was genuinely friendly, from the front-desk to housekeeping, to the maintenance/room-service/bell-service staff we ran into in the elevators -- all greeted us, asked us about our day, and engaged in real conversation. I look forward to our next visit.

The location was excellent. The cost of parking was so high, I would never stay there again. The costs for parking, watching a movie in your room was so high, that it almost doubled the cost of the stay.
