I love the location and style of this hotel. The lobby on the 5th floor is a welcoming and dynamic space. It was the first sign I would enjoy my stay. I stayed in an executive suite on the 31st floor. I recommend you try this if you can manage it, just as a treat to yourself. My room was a 2 story loft with a sleek and stylish interior. I felt like I was in Manhattan, except for the locally inspired textures and colors which conjured Native American tribes without being overtly rustic. On the contrary, this was a completely modern space with large TV's in every room, and even one for my laptop, so I could work with a second monitor. The staff were quiet and respectful. The room stayed very tidy and I never felt the cleaning crew was pressuring me to leave. Room service was lovely, and the wine selection was surprisingly good. I wished the walls were a little thicker, as my neighbors had all night parties next door. But I have come to expect this in hotels, and I just turned on my TV to fall asleep and drown out their noise. The area boasts so many shops, restaurants and clubs it's almost overwhelming. I had no shortage of activities to offset my work day, and the Minnesotan charm is unparalleled in the entire Midwest. The staff reflect this mentality, as do all of the people on the street and in the local attractions. Enjoy!

They took care of everything, from parking my car to taking luggage to my room, loved it! The rooms were very clean, easy to go to where ever we wanted via the Sky Mall. Since we were going to the Orpheum Theater, it was within walking distance. It was easy to use the city train if you didn't want to take your car. I would recommend staying here to others.

Even though we booked a room with twin beds (Parents and their teenager), the hotel only provided a king, plus one of those incredibly uncomfortable roll-in beds with the nasty springs. Turns out the hotel overbooked the rooms with twin beds because Britney Spears had a concert in town and of course all the mums and teens were in the hotel. They did give us the right room for the second day.

This hotel was clean and comfortable. All marriot empolyees were very friendly and helpful throughout my weekend stay. They were able to check me in early with no problems. It was also located in a great area, full of shops, restaurants and bars.

Elegant interiors. Overpriced internet service (should be free). A well appointed hotel run by courteous and capable staff.

When I went here, the restaurant staff had no clue about the free breakfast weekend deal. The guy at the check-in desk sided with me, but I shouldn't have had to deal with that. They need to train their staff better. I skipped the breakfast and paid for a much better served dinner at the Clear Lake, IA Perkins. Also, the bed was hard as a rock. The two stars in my overall rating go to the guy at the front desk and concierge who directed me to a gas station.

I love the Marriott Hotel Minneapolis. It is in Downtown is which is a superb location to do alot of things in town and around. The hotel is connected to the Skyway System which means if you come in the winter you wont have to step outdoors to go the different buildings, centers, etc... that is in downtown Minneapolis. The hotel has a great venue for hosting meetings and exhibitions. The hotel defintiely does cater to the business travel with a lot of business amenities. However I was there to visit friends who happened to attend the U of Minnesota which is a quick 10 minute drive to the center of campus and only a 5 minute drive or 15 to 20 minute walk to the Metrodome for the games. The hotel rooms are really nice. The beds are very plush and you get a lot of amenties in a standard room.. including a great view of the city. The entrance is a little wierd, must go to the 5 floor of the building to find lobby and the valet and bellhop assume you already know this. All in all a great hotel. Weekend rates are inexpensive!! great central location to do great shopping in downtown Minneapolis and a 30 minute tram ride to the mall or 20 minute drive to the mall. Planning to stay again at this hotel. : )

Hard to get from parking ramp to hotel. Nice rooms, could have used a bathtub rather than a shower stall. The parking ramp is far from the hotel and it's a little confusing going from the parking ramp to the lobby.

We really enjoyed the hotel, loved the view from our room (24th floor), great location. Many great restaurants and shopping in walking distance. Nice lobby and bar. More signs would have been helpful. was a bit confusing to find the lobby on the 5th floor. Would stay there again next time!

Excellent staff. Elevator convenience. Very nice, clean & comfortable. The elevator arrangement was difficult but understandable since the hotel is downtown, in a relatively small space.

The hotel is nice- confusing skywalk system and the streets surrounding area don't seem safe after work hours- only stayed at this hotel because of the location in proximity to the target center- my vehicle did not fit into attached parking garage and valet parking was expensive- also rates went waaay up for this weekend because of all of the events happening in mpls/st paul

This is the third time staying at the Marriott Down town Minneapolis. I stay here because of the proximity to St Paul. I travel to Minneapolis for continuing dental education every year. I wish they had a pool for my little kids, otherwise the hotel is fantastic.

Everyone on staff was so helpful to me and my friend. The location was close to the Metrodome, we walked there and it took about 10 min. The room was very comfortable. Bed was amazing! Very clean and well taking care of. Staff helped us get a cab outside which was really helpful since we are from a small town and don't regularly use cabs! Valet staff was wonderful. I would for sure stay here again, no question!
