Situation of hotelWe stayed in Cardiff as we were going to a venue at The Millenium Stadium. The hotel was perfectly situated to this venue and all other bars & restaurants were within a very short walking distance.The weekend away was also for my boyfriend's birthday, which the hotel staff, when informed on the phone before arrival, offered to put a birthday card in the room. Once we actually got to the room, not only was there a card, but also a plate of fresh fruit and "Happy Birthday" written on the plate in chocolate! What a lovely surprise & thank you Cardiff Marriott for making such an effort.Will definately return to this hotel again and also recommend to others!

We were close to the train station and within walking distance of downtown and shopping. We took a day-trip with See Wales which was very enjoyable. We also did the hop-on hop-off city tour. We visited the Castle and also the National Museum. We had a great weekend!!
