I was traveling with an elderly wheelchair bound person. The hotel's entrance and elevator's were spacious, as were the rooms. I was able to easily maneuver around the hotel. We were given a handicap room, but the queen size bed was to high for my mother. Housekeeping quickly provided a rollaway bed which meet our needs. The room's small refrigerator and microwave came in handy for storing and warming our leftovers.

Rooms were beautiful, very updated. Lobby also very upscale. Location. Even though close to convention center, not much else to do. Beautiful. Couldn't have had a better experience. Food was great, staff friendly. Room, 1st class. Overall a great experience.

We chose this facility mostly for its location. The room was decent for its money. Nothing special. The gym was excellent. The inept front desk staff was not very helpful, especially the night guy. It always felt like we had to squeeze everything out of them. On check-out day, they charged us for a suite, even though we were in a normal rooms. (240 vs 120) After working with the 2nd lady who actually knew how to do her job, we were able to get it straightened out. The location is decent, value is ok, but the Best Western across the street was a much better value.

Everyone I came in contact with was very nice. It was only an overnight stay but the room was great, the bed was wonderful, very quiet and I slept like a dream. It doesn't get better than that for me!

Bedding was very comfortable and nice television. No radio and shower was sometimes lukewarm.

Staff, hard beds, tub would not drain, kids eat free is a joke at this hotel.

The service was excellent by [...] at the front desk. The room was beautiful, very modern and pillows were abundant. Wonderful hotel for the price!

Comfortable beds, good food, and very nice employees. Only problem was my Room (334) had a faulty, noisy air conditioner. The temp did not lower below 81 degrees. This is not so good in hot Bakersfield. Did not realize this until 2:30 a.m. I was way to tired to call downstairs for a room change.

Great beds, great location, beautiful stay. Nothing. The convention center was right next door which was where we were going the beds were the best one of my best stays hotel wise anywhere.

We had a very nice stay at this Marriott. The town is a little rough around the edges but we felt completely safe and pampered in our hotel. The lounge is gigantic and inviting. The restaurant was first class and served a good small vintage House Chardonnay. The best part of the stay was the newly renovated rooms, with their big flat screen TV and the most comfortable bed we've ever slept on. If you have to stay in Bakersfield, the Marriott is the place to stay.

Very comfortable rooms. Comfortable beds and bedding. The restaurant prices a little high. Overall the hotel was a great fit for wife and I. It was very comfortable and located in the center of town so walking to various shops was not a problem.

Neat and clean. Unfriendly front desk. I enjoyed my stay. The rooms were very nice and built in with free internet. There is also free parking in the back.

Ifelt safe enough to allow my child to go down stairs and use his laptop computer. We had to ask them to come and clean our room after 3:30 in the afternoon.

It was in walking distance from where a concert we were attending in Bakersfield. Couldn't have asked for a better location or room. The magnetic key cards to board the elevator. If they touched her cell phone, you had to go back down to the front desk and get the re activated.

Great room. Not too friendly; breakfast not complimentary. Great rooms and very clean.

Very clean andpublic spaces. Room had cottage cheese ceilings and the tub was older. Room was nice, just you could tell that they transformed it with nice furniture. The bathroom area you could tell was older and was not fully replaced or updated. The air conditioning unit was extremely loud which again goes back to just updating the outer appearance and not updating anything large in the rooms.

Hotel staff very friendly, accomadating. Couldn't walk around at night due to location. Very nice hotel, Ceaser at the front desk was awesome! Too bad the area around the downtown area isn't condusive to walking around at night as we were warned by the hotel staff.
