Marriott Gosforth ParkAccommodation excellent as is usual with Marriott hotels. Reception efficient and attentive. Room was clean and good quality.Reception warned that a wedding reception might be a little bit noisy but we heard nothing.Express booking out was without fault.

This is a typical business hotel - clean and efficient. Room size is a bit tight but adequate. Breakfast is average and not very exciting. Location is right off A1 so perfect for me since I did have a car. 15-20 minutes to city center. I don't think there is any metro station near the hotel.

I was automatically upgraded to an executive room, which was a lot bigger with slippers, dressing gown. I had a meal in the bar which was excellent. Service was also friendly and very good.

Lovely hotel. Even though the hotel is quite large and very busy due to a wedding being on, staff very friendly and helpful. Only slight gripe would be that the TV (at least in our room) needs up-dating. Buffet breakfast lovely - plenty of choice, even though it was towards the end of the 4-hour period when breakfast is being served.

The hotel was excellent and the food was good. The original price was quite high for the size of room but with the Laterooms discount it made it very good value. Would stay again. Unforunately didn't have time to try the pool. Staff were very friendly and had a very enjoyable meal in the restuarant. Good value with a set price two and three course menu. Lots of families staying but there was no noise from neighbouring rooms.

We stayed at the Marriott when a friend booked one of the function suites for their wedding. The staff were excellent, really helpful and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Room was clean and fairly spacious, perfect for a couple of nights.Breakfast was fine, good range of food both hot & cold with plenty available, and tea and coffee served to your table. All in all we had a great time (the wedding was a lovely do' as well) and wouldn't think twice about staying here again.

Surprisingly Bad1) An urgent package for me from my company arrived on the morning I arrived and the staff failed to tell me it was with them and this caused me a lot of problems. They arranged to send it to me for delivery today and it did not arrive.2) I cannot understand that a Mariot Hotel charges its clients extra to use internet service. This would prevent me from staying there again. I travel all over the world on business for my company and it is the first time a hotel of this class charges for internet.

first class hotelexcellent in all respects. all staff very helpful especially concierge who gave us good advice on getting to theatre - best by bus, hotel gate to city centre. No criticisms at all.

A Pleasant surpriseWe booked this hotel for the location close to Newcastle City centre, where we were due to see a concert. Conveniently located off the A1, the exterior of the hotel does not do justice to the interior. The recently refurbished Chats bar was perfect to go for a drink before heading into town and perfect to come back to after the hustle of the city centre bars. Our room was very clean and spacious, with a well stocked mini bar. The breakfast the next morning was a delight, and having booked through late rooms the whole stay represented excellent value for money.

Gateway to NewcastleGood value for money, rooms excellent, breakfast fantastic, friendly staff, good location for Newcastle without having to drive into centre, hotel phoned us a taxi cost us £12.00 but showed us all the places to go, we would stay again.

We chose this local hotel for our wedding night as it was close to the venue. I added a note into the booking that that was our situation. At check-in they were superb we were upgraded twice. Lovely room, we didn't use the leisure facilities but the breakfast buffet was excellent, although the coffee was a bit weak but that was soon changed. Definitely recommend this hotel, for the brief time we were there everything was great.

Chats, the informal dining option was not open due to refurbishment. We were not advised of this at the time of booking. We obtained a meal in the reception lounge which was very acceptable.Very friendly and helpful reception. No strawberry actimel at breakfast, unlike the Marriott Meon Valley, Southampton! We asked for a twin and a double room and were given two double rooms. However, the beds were so large, my two sons were not bothered!

we stayed in a room above the main function room and had to put up with very loud music from 7pm till 1am when we phoned reception to complain we were offer a new room but by then it was 11:30pm, there for a quiet weekend was ruined by the party below our room

Great hotel in a quiet location but perfect for shopping in Newcastle. The staff were truly exceptional from check-in, to house-keeping, bar and in particular the restaurant. We have stayed in this hotel many times and it never disappoints. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.

Very well presented albeit designed for more mature guests. The room was cosy but not quite of the standard I expected for the money (small television, cramped bathroom). Had a very nice meal which was a bit on the pricey side but exceptionally well presented and the restaurant service was very good.

I have stayed at the Gosforth Park on many occasions and it remains a favourite location when on business in Newcastle

The hotel were unaware that were a family of three and had not set up the room accordingly. We were told that the extra bed would be in our room when we returned from our evening out but got back to find nothing had been set up!
