The following questions have been answered for you by Marriott Coronado Island Resort...

What are your breakfast options?: A la carte breakfast is served daily in our restaurant beginning at 6:30am until 11:30am. There are limited breakfast locations within walking distance of our property.
What transport is available to get around?: Car rental service, with varied car selections and prices, is available at the concierge desk. We also have a very nice Lincoln Sedan available to you at comparable prices of a taxi, but much nicer and dependable. Prices vary according to destination.

Otherwise, we have a Water Shuttle from our pier for an eight minute ride directly to the San Diego Marriott Marina. You can easily walk to Seaport Village (shops and restaurants) and the Gaslamp Quarter (the Victorian Era of San Diego with shops, cocktail lounges and restaurants). Right now we are on our winter schedule which runs Friday from 10:00am - 5:45pm, Saturday from 10:00am - 7:45pm and Sunday from 10:00am - 5:45pm. Fare is $6.00 per Adult. You may either charge the fare to your room or pay the captain cash.

There is a municipal bus (MTS) that has a stop right across the street from the hotel. It starts at 10:20am until 6:20pm everyday except Sundays. Fare is $2.25 per adult. It takes about 15 minutes to get to downtown Coronado.

The Ferry Landing Marketplace is an easy seven minute walk along San Diego Bay where you may board the San Diego/Coronado Ferry. It takes you to two different locations in downtown San Diego for $4.25 per person each way. It starts at 9:17am (Convention Center/5th Ave. Pier) every two hours or you may take the 15 minute ride to Broadway Pier which leaves every hour starting at 9:30am until 9:00pm Mondays – Thursdays or till 10:00pm on Friday and Saturday.

The San Diego Trolley System is a mass transit electrical trolley line which goes to several popular locations in San Diego such as the San Diego Convention Center, Little Italy, Old Town San Diego, Mission Valley Malls, Mission de Acala, etc. An all-day-pay is available for only $5.00.

Walking or bicycling around Coronado is very popular and we have a variety of bikes for rent by the hour or day at our Spa daily. Prices vary.

There are bus tours around San Diego, Temecula Wine Country, SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Safari, La Jolla and other locations. Prices vary.

Cabs are always available either stationed on our property or a five to ten minute wait for arrival at our hotel. Fare price to downtown Coronado would be approximately $8.00, to downtown San Diego $15 - $18, to San Diego Zoo $20, to Seaworld $40, to La Jolla approximately $40 - $50. Each fare mentioned is for a one-way ride.
What can I do nearby?: We have a full service Spa, tennis courts and three outdoor heated pools. Bike rentals are available at our Spa location daily from 8:30am to dusk.

Discount tickets are available for purchase for our World Famous San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Safari Park, SeaWorld, Legoland, Whale Watching cruises from December to April, one or two hour excursions on the San Diego Bay; hiking, surfing, boating, horseback riding, dinner cruises and kayaking activities are located within San Diego proper.
Do you have internet?: We do have internet in our rooms for $12.95 for a 24 hour period.
Do you provide parking?: There is self-parking ($22.00) and valet parking ($28.00), each for a 24-hour period on our property. There are some public parking (free) on the street just across the street from our hotel (but it is not secured).
