Hotel was quite noisy with wedding parties on Friday and Saturday. Very small beach front access, and very rocky. Clean rooms. Located away from downtown area, but easily accessed by bus.

beautiful location and grounds. very adequate services. staff very friendly, patient and helpful. free currency exchange at front desk. quiet. no between room noise. excellent breakfast buffet. prompt room service. easy access to bus service. fitness room with excellent variety. the beds were a little too soft. We would choose this facility again in a heart beat.

My family loved our stay here. My children are impressed by the cleanliness of the overall surroundings. Very quiet and safe. The room is very clean and beds are sooo comfy. The bathroom is well set up. We loved the garden view as it is a few steps away from the pool with the magnificent view of the ocean. Food is quite pricey. Lunch by the poolside is reasonable and convenient especially with children swimming. I will probably try all inclusive with this hotel next time. The staff are very courteous and will go out of their way to accomodate your request. Like to mention Judith by the poolside. Leo the bellman and Ivan the doorman. The beach is spectacular. It is across aqua world where we booked Jungle Tour whic was greatly enjoyable.

We spent a lot of time at the wonderful pool with my kids, 2 & 4. La Isla shopping mall was very close and there were many close kid-friendly restaurants.

Beautiful hotel, great location. Very expensive. Great location, what I would expect from a Marriott. However, most things were pricey including wireless Internet. Cost about $60 for 4 days.

Just returned from vacation with two teenage girls and had the best trip! This hotel was just perfect, we felt completely at home here. The staff and concierge were all very kind and helpful. We didn't run into any problems here. Check in and out was easy! We enjoyed speaking a little Spanish with them and most of them speak a little English too so that was fun. We ate all of our meals at resaurants and snack bars on sight. The food was delicious, especially liked eating a casual lunch at the outdoor snack bar by the beach. There is also a nice deli with great coffee, snacks, sandwiches and pastries. My husband and I loved getting our coffee here and going out to the beach in the morning. We did buy our bottled water across the street at a quick stop, it was much cheaper. The hotel and grounds were beautiful, and everything was so clean and neat. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, we all slept very well. The fitness room was nice and convenient to use. Loved the pool. We all enjoyed the live music in the evening in the lounge/lobby area while getting drinks and snacks. Of course we loved the beach! white sand, blue water! There has been lots of erosion next to all the hotels along the beach, exposing lots of rocks, but it was the same at all the hotels. Still we spent most of our time hanging out at the beach. We did use the local bus to take us to the local shopping centers, it was very inexpensive and easy, comes every few minutes. Kids liked La Isla outdoor shopping mall. I would definitely recomment this hotel and would love to go back....tomorrow!

What a great place to stay! The bed was soooo comfortable with feathure down pillows and comforters. The pool was sparkling clean with great pool side service. The gym and spa were equally clean and comfortable. Room service was quick and friendly. I always say you can't go wrong booking in to a Marriot!

My daughter was married on the beach at sunset......simply wonderful!

The activities with teens, the facilities. Have some show for customers at night. The only I did not like was the cleaning of the swimming pool. Accumulates some yellow stuff on the stair that makes my daughter swimming dress spots for ever. Is the first time I see this in a swimming pool. We were in the Hilton in Cancun last Dec and never saw that. I complained to maintenance and they said was because the solutions, but that doesn't happen in other hotels.

Stayed here with two teens. Wonderful hotel and staff. Very friendly and helpful. Stayed in a Garden View room on third floor #3023, with a great view of the ocean and the pool. No pressure from hotel staff for room upgrade, all-inclusive upgrade or time shares. Breakfast included with room had everything including made-to-order omelettes. Easy transportation on local bus to most locations, but make sure you have correct change, the drivers were not always honest and you need to know how much to pay. Good security in hotel, safe in room. Pool area and courtyard were beautiful. Nice ocean view, but too rough to swim at the beach in front, needed to walk down further or go to different location. Lots of rocks under water. Stayed during end of spring break week. No problems with parties/noise. Most college students stayed closer to downtown/bars. (Approx 10 minutes away on bus). Will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

We were pleasantly suprised at how beautiful and luxurious the Casa Magna was! We considered staying at the JW Marriott, but took a gamble at the more reasonably priced Casa Magna. It had a huge elegant marble lobby running the whole width of the hotel with spectacular views of the pool and aqua blue ocean!!! The rooms were clean and well appointed with flat screne TV. The location is good, just south of the middle of the long hotel zone. The bus costs about 65 cents to ride anywhere. We took a taxi one night for about a mile and a half and it was 10. The buses are very convenient--they come along about every 5 minutes.(Those are U. S. minutes, not Mexican minutes:) !!

My wife and I visited March 6-10, 2009. The hotel was much better than I expected. This is a very high end hotel with wonderful staff and food. We couldn't have asked for more. Would definately recommend and certainly will return.

The hotel was beautiful and always very clean. The staff was very helpful and most everyone there spoke English, so that was very helpful. The food was pretty good. It wasn't the best food that I had ever tasted, but is was still good. The beach was a little rocky right in front of the hotel (due to Wilma), but we just walked down the beach a little ways and found plenty of warm, beautiful water to swim in. The pool area was great and the swim up bar was even better! We have decided that anytime we go to Cancun, this is the hotel that we will ALWAYS stay in.

Our stay was very nice and restful. Our room accommodations and view was great! Casa Magna did not have activities at the hotel for guests. Not too many restaurant options at the hotel. We traveled outside of the hotel to a friend's hotel to participate in more hotel activities and restaurants. However, the staff was very friendly, hotel was very clean and beautiful. The hotel is located in a great location for going out to eat and shopping. We would definitely stay again.

Very beautiful hotel with excellent service and hospitality. High food prices with only moderate to good quality food. It far exceeded my expectations with a large balcony at the edge of the ocean. The sunrise the first day was spectacular. The room was always refreshed very timely every day with friendly notes left by the maid. The staff was always eager to please with whatever was needed. The hotel common areas were beautiful with music in the lobby bar every evening. There were flowers everywhere with a wonderful smell to greet you every time you entered the hotel. The pool and beach areas were always well kept with plenty of chairs and lounges. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Cancun. We will definitely return to the Marriott Casa Magna in a heartbeat!

The location and the service was excellent! The lobby was stunning! There were a few drawbacks though... Although the beach was beautiful with super-fine white sand and crystal clear water, it was VERY, VERY small due to beach erosion. Another unfortunate thing was that 3 of the days we were there there was a "red flag" warning that it was too dangerous to go into the water. I travelled with 2 teenage boys and there were absolutely NO activities in the hotel for them. Only once did a staff member try to get a pool volleyball game started, but there were not enough people willing to play... at a 5 star place why didn't some staff members get in there & stir up the fun until more joined in? My kids were left high and dry. There was a kids' club, but it was only for toddlers. There were several restaurants in the hotel: a Japanese Steakhouse, an American-style sports bar, a Thai restaurant and an Argentinian steakhouse (this was great in the AM set up as a breakfast buffet with ALL the authentic Mexican choices you could ever want.) For other meals the best bet was to travel to the downtown area for authentic local food. The hotel and the entire Hotel Zone was innundated with commercial chain restaurants that would not permit one to experience the local character of the spectacular destination that is Cancun, Mexico. The hotel was close to authentic markets and shops. Hey!!! The hotel had a fire alarm go off at 3am!!! It was a false alarm caused by a drop in water pressure that triggered it. Not fun. This is starting to not sound great, but again the hotel was gorgeous and the service was great.

I would definitely recommend the Casamagna to anyone visiting Cancun. We had a Premium Ocean View Room and the view was breathtaking. The room was great with extremely comfortable beds to collapse into after exhausting fun packed days. The whole hotel was beautiful and immaculate, and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. We could always find a spot by the pools or on the beach. FYI - they make the best Pina Colada's on the planet at the pool bar and the food their is alwo fantastic. The beach...was not as vast as I would have expected. Not only at this resort, but for most of Cancun which was a little dissappointing, but we still had an awesome time. If in Cancun, I highly recommend the Casamagna!
