airline lost our luggage and the staff was very helpful and provided us with amenities we were missing without being asked. When I inquired the next day about it at the front desk, [...] the clerk called the airlines for us and set things up. she kept us updated as to the eta of our luggage and went above and beyond in helping us.

View over Biscayne Bay was beautiful. Room decor was excellent. Towels were cheap. They were rough and not equivalent to the quality of the facility.

Stayed one night prior to a cruise on April 3, 2009. Our room was on the 23d floor and the views were beautiful. The room was spacious and clean with a very nice balcony. Also ate at the restaurant and expected high priced, mediocre food and service. As it turned out the food was fantastic and service superb albeit a bit pricey. There were shops downtstairs between the Marriot and Doubletree which had other dining options and merchandise. I would definitely stay there again. Self Parking was just under $20 a night. Very convenient to Port of Miami cruise terminal. The description and reviews made this choice perfect.

Loved Hotel - We stayed here the night before leaving out of Miami for a cruise. When I told the receptionist she offered to have me stay in a room that overlooked the cruise port and the water. The balcony is usually facing the city view, but she figured out if she gave us a corner unit we could sit on the balcony and see city and water views. The pictures out our hotel are beautiful. The hotel is located near downtown, so it is a short drive to fun things and dinner places. In July hotel is going though a small renovation, but you would never know it. It is mostly on the outside cleaning the fasade. But they are also updating their fitness room, but they already made arrangements to go next door to another hotel so you would not be inconvenienced. Their is a conceire floor for breakfast, snacks, and drinks which is nice and nothing but windows looking out to the port ! Short distance to Port of Miami and airport and south beach ! You can opt to pay parking (in and out services for one price) or valet. Nice restaurant inside hotel. Hotel offers many ammendities such as rental car desk, business center, and if you are looking for a place for a reception the rooms are decorated beautifully. There is a whole floor full of meeting/banquet rooms and easy access to the garage from the meeting/banquet rooms.

I am a Marriott rewards member, so I stay at a lot of Marriott hotels. The evening front desk staff was not the friendliest. Also the parking was very expensive. Room service was good, but the bar tender at the main lounge was a little lazy. I asked for a bottle of merlot to take back to my room with some appitizers that I purchased, and he said I would have to call room service. The day before I had purchased a bottle from the same bar. I knew he was being lazy, when you stay at a nicer hotel you expect a little more.

Nice rooms, good view, great gym. Parking lot - was quite dirty and littered with garbage. Parking lot elevator was sketchy.

The hotel was in a perfect location. Walking distance to American Airlines Arena, taxi cost $16.00 to get to South Beach. The hotel is on the water looking out to South Beach. I would visit this hotel again.

The room was clean, the bed was the best I had slept in in a long time of staying at motels and hotels. Room had a balcony and overall it was first class all the way. We stayed there the nite before we left on a cruise and would go back and stay there if the opportunity arises.

Waterfront location and proximity to Port of Miami. Breakfast buffet was a little pricey (but very good). Nicely decorated contemporary rooms and a great pre and post cruise hotel.

We stayed at this hotel from 12/25-12/29/2008. Marriott Biscayne Bay is in the same building with Double Tree hotel, a market place, several restaurants, and other business suites. At the back of the building is a small marina, where one can board a boat for fishing expedition. The building is relatively old, but Marriott has renovated their rooms, so everything in our room is new and modern. We love the room decoration. Our room is at the corner, looking out of the balcony is partially sea and partially the side of a condominimum building. Ask for a bay-view room, you'll love it. Nearby the hotel is Venetian Causeway, leading to the famous Miami beach, if you rent a car, it is only 10-15 min away to the beach and sun. It is very easy to find food in the same building, I would recommend the small market place called Le Faubourg Deli/Los Gauchitos II Cafe, where one can find food and travel necessities conveniently and economically. If you like seafood, driving 10 min to Bay Front Park, one will find seafood, shopping, boat cruise, and live performance. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. It is clean, the staff is generally very helpful and friendly. The room itself is modernized. Because it's not in the Miami Beach area, one will find more room with better price, and if you have a car, going to places is as easy as it can be. Do prepare to pay toll fees as you drive in Miami. Many bridges and highways will ask for toll fees.

I had just arrived from cruise and flight was next day to Dallas. The staff checked me in, gave me a room with an incredible view. I slept like a baby, woke up that night to a beautiful view of the bay--it was like eye candy. Staff was superior; room was clean; linen smooth and crisp.

New renovations were beautiful. Pool area was small and needed upgrade. The room and lobby were very nice! Great water views. Beds were very comfortable and the room decorated nicely. It was nice to have a balcony, too!

We stayed here the night before our cruise. Excellent location close to the port. A beautiful place to walk around, everyone was more than accommodating. We could not have been happier.

Good location for access to cruise terminal. Pool area had not been cleaned from earlier use during day- unappealing. Nice view, comfy beds, balcony was a nice surprise, continental breakfast would have been nice.

The Bay View. Beds were too soft. Mushy! Not firm enough. Great location downtown. Close to public transit. Walking distance to bay side market Place, American Airlines Arena and spots downtown. Feels safe.

It was beautiful, romantic, and our room faced the water which had a beautiful view of the city! This Marriott location was the best I'd ever been in. I was on the 5th floor with an awesome view of the water and the city. At night, the view was very romantic. I didn't want to leave! The staff was very friendly. The restaurant at the bottom has a beautiful view of the water. I even saw a hammer head shark that a shark hunter had on his boat while I was at the restaurant. This was a great location.
