We had a wonderful stay at the Marley! It was what we were looking for - great location with character and personal touches those big hotels don't have. And the food was great and reasonally priced.

Beautiful place; somewhat secluded. If you're looking for a place to escape and relax, this would be a great choice. Our room "Nice Time" was very nice and decorated beautifully in a unique fashion. This is not a typical "cookie cutter" resort. It's pretty quiet and great for couples. Would not be a place for children. The staff was all very friendly and likeable. The food was excellent, though a little expensive - but the food everywhere in the Bahamas was pretty pricey. My husband and I would definitely go back.

My wife and I visited the Marley Resort & Spa and enjoyed the experience so much, we are working towards planning long in advance a return trip in 2010. If possible, we would recommend taking an early flight into Nassau so you can enjoy some of the resort when you arrive. Top-notch resort with wonderful persons. Our entire experience in the Bahamas can only be described as PARADISE.... The resort staff is fantastic, respectful and willing to go out of their way to ensure your stay was ?no problems or worries mon?. I would like to first thank the resort staff General Manager for making this vacation our best! She checked us into the hotel and made sure we got everything we needed. Later she booked a massage for us and it was out of this world. The receptionist as the Spa Tia was great. Our room was fantastic as it was clean, decorated beautifully. Our room was just WOW, what a beautiful view of the ocean and poolside. Room furniture was beautiful with king size hand carved 4 mahogany poster bed, and matching armoire and nightstand ? plenty of room. The only complaint I would have to say is the Bartender is a little slow. He needs to pick up his pace and be more excited. But overall the other bartenders were great. I just cannot say enough good comments about the Marley Resort, resort staff and the total experience. Whatever your doing keep it up.

The resort is absolutely beautiful and the staff extremely friendly. The only improvement would be that the food and drink service is extremely slow. Secondly, there is no chance to eat in between meal service. I would suggest that the bar serve a menu anytime during the day. The staff is wonderful, the food is excellent, but don't go to dinner when you are hungry. Go well before to time the wait out better. That is truly the ONLY item that we saw needing improvement. We will definitely go again.

I just returned from a two night get away to the Bahamas and I couldn't be happier with my choice in hotel at the Marley Resort. I booked through online travel website and when my flight was canceled due to weather, online travel website and the Marley resort rescheduled me with no problem for the following two days. When I arrived the staff was friendly and generous. They went out of their way to make my stay wonderful with little things like switching my room to get more light and providing a delicious cocktail when I arrived. The beach is beautiful and the pools and hot tub were a little cooler than I had hoped but still in a great setting. The rooms are a great size, they have all the amenities including a Bob Marley CD in the Bose stereo. I had dinner and drinks at the bar the food was amazing and the were great. I checked out the other hotels in Cable Beach and there all oversized monstrosities. While that might have its advantages, if you want a personalized experience, stay at the Marley Resort.

Good day to all and thank you for taking the time to read my review of the Marley Resort & Spa. Before discussing my overall impression of the resort, you, the readers, should be aware that I have travelled through the Caribbeans for the past 15 years and have stayed in resorts ranging from all-inclusive "giant" clubs (i.e. Sandals, Breezes etc...) to much smaller and unique hotels (Bay Gardens). Combined with the fact that I have also travelled to many of the islands (from Curacao to St Lucia, from St Martin to Barbados and countless more...) I consider myself informed enough to pass judgment on resorts. Based on these premisses, please consider the following comments to be rational and without any bias. It is my hope that if you are contemplating staying at this resort that you will find my comments to be of great influence as to whether you will book or not. (1) The resort is a 10 minute drive from the airport, which means you won't be wasting any time getting there (i.e. more beach time!). It is also located very close to restaurants, amenities etc. Basically a hop and skip to any amenities you may need. It is located at the end of a BEAUTIFUL beach (cable beach) which really makes it feel as though it was your very own private beach as there are almost no visitors.In short 10/10 for location(2) The grounds are beautifully kepts and the hotel itself is crystal clean, decorated in good taste, very unique in its own way. Pools are the best (2 small ones) and the jacuzzi/hotub is actually very hot! first time ever I find it enjoyable! In short hotel is 9/10(3) Staff is very friendly, very courteous and will go out of their way to accomodate you. They understand what client services is all about and it shows. A special thank you to [...] (aka Platinum) for his help in assisting me with various requests (way to go [...]). [...] was also a "joy". She went out of her way to faciliate a "Jamaican" breakfast for my wife, and even took care of "preparing for conservation"

Our trip to the Marley began great. The hotel is beautiful, the grounds and gardens - amazing. The staff is wonderful and the room was uniquely furnished and clean. The restaurants, bar and pool area were very cozy and the food was amazing. We came to the Marley to relax, renew and unwind. We had 3 wonderful nights. We kept saying that we couldn't wait to leave so we could come back again. This all changed the last night we were there. The hotel had booked some outside private party that basically took over the hotel. We could not use the pool, hottub, bar or restaurant that night because of the party. We went out to dinner and when we returned we could not park our car in the secured hotel parking lot due to the number of outside party guests. We had to park our car on the street which caused worry because our golf clubs were stored in the back of the car. The music got louder and louder. So much for our tranquil, rest and relaxation, not to mention just sleeping. When we called the office to complain at 12:15AM their was no response. After a trip down to the front office at 12:30AM they said it would be winding up soon. We feel that our last night should have been spent elsewhere because none of the services that we had paid for were provided for by the Marley. There is no compensation except an upgrade if we return because we booked through a third party. We would not have known about the Marley if it was not for Travelocity. Three nights of amazing, one bad night and we will not return to the Marley for fear of them catering to an outside party instead of guests.

The Marley Resort used to be Bob Marley's family retreat. It has a private beach, swimming pools, and a hot tub, exquisite dining services, and attentive staff. Personally, I think the Marley Resort is THE QUINTESSENTIAL destination in the bahamas. There are only 16 rooms in the whole resort. It is quiet, peaceful, majestically beautiful, and captures the spirit of the Bahamas. A word to the wise... It's expensive.
