The hotel is almost perfect! The "almost" part is about the cleanning! The hotel is clean, the sheets and towels are good, but they don't really clean the floor, my impression was that room service was just changing the sheets and towels and making the bed! No vacuum!

Convenient to Metro and St. Catherine Street shopping. Several highly rated restaurants in walking distance.

Great price, very friendly staff, and an outstanding location just a very short walk from the Guy-Concordia Metro station. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for great quality on a budget.

First time at this hotel in Montreal. Was very pleased with the location and the room was large, clean and comfortable. The hotel is walking distance to downtown Montreal just off St. Catherine and Rene Levesque streets. Also close to two subway stations.

We stayed at the Maritime Plaza for one day but we were fortunate to be able to check in before noon because there was a room available. This gave us a chance to freshen up before we headed out to explore Montreal. After a long day of sightseeing that included miles of walking we came back late at night to a most comfortable and clean bed. The pillows were down feathers as was the quilt which was encased in fine silky cotton. The result was a refreshing night's sleep that made us ready for our trip to Quebec City the next day.

The hotel was exactly what we were looking for and was an excellent grab for the Orbitz price. It is a perfect location, within walking distance to shopping and bars downtown, and a nice location if you are driving to hop right back on the highway. People were very friendly, the room was nice, and we didn't have any hassles.

The location is GREAT. The most comfortable bed/comforter I have had at any hotel. Free bottled water in your room. My 6 night stay was great. Great price!!! Good value.

This hotel was not what we'd expected when we booked, we wish that we'd chosen our second or even third choice, and the deal was not even all that good! The hotel lobby was under construction and we were happily right above it on the second floor. The shower did not work but the AC sure did, we could not turn it off and it did not respond to any changes that we made with the thermostat, we had to cover it with a book to stem the flow of cold air. The bed was sufficient but there were only 2 pillows and when we asked for one more, we waited for an hour and a half and it did not come. We were given only 2 towels and we asked for 2 more and they did not come either. Stay ANYWHERE else when you visit Montreal, it is not worth saving money to stay at the Maritime Plaza.

I was there for a weekend getaway with some buddies, I was trying to impress, the picture looked great, but when I arrived I was taken aback how the exterior of the hotel is a bit shoddy. The interior however is really nice, it's very clean, but the rooms are on small side, and my air conditioning didn't work. I would recommend this for a single traveler, or maybe a business if your not having them visit you at the hotel. The rooms were way too small to have children in them and maintain sanity, or grown men preparing for a night out on the town, we were bumping into each other left and right.

Staff was very friendly. Great location. Clean rooms. Pool was being reworked so it should be nice. Close to restaurants, shopping and entertainment districts.

The employees at the front desk were very helpful and courteous. However the A/C didn't work properly and the TV reception was of poor quality.

In town for the weekend. Came up for the bike Montreal tour after a long time since being here. I am very impressed with the city and all it has to offer. As we aproached the Plaza Maritime Hotel I must say the outside looked a bit dated, but one step inside the door and it was elegant and relaxing at the same time. All of the staff were very professional, competent, and helpful. The room was also very nice and clean with a great view. While I really liked this hotel and would recommend it, I think housekeeping might want to mention the broken box spring to management, and moving the TV should be added to the dusting routine, but over all it was clean and comfortable. Getting to the underground metro was also very convenient and the proximty to great resturants and shopping on St Catherine Street was great. All in all a lovely time!

This hotel is located one block away from Ste Catherine St, the heart of downtown Montreal. Very comfortable, beautiful view of the city, clean and large. No parking valet so need to park underground yourself and carry bags from parking to elevator and then the parking attendant expects a tip for telling us where to park the car. I would however stay there again for the price.

This hotel is very affordable in relation to its location. The rooms are clean with an excellent view of the city. Very satisfied... I would recommend this hotel for a weekend or last minute getaway!

The first room smelled and was next to the ice machine and elevator. The second room was a downgrade (two doubles in stead of one queen) and next to the elevator. Not great! Outdated rooms and general hotel lobby, etc. need attention. If you have very low expectations and find a great deal on the place then maybe, but look elsewhere first.

When we arrived the hotel had no reservation from us and took 30 minutes to find it from Orbitz. The front desk "man" was rude and seemed upset that he had to go look us up. He gave us cards to the wrong room, we opened the door to an already occupied room! When we asked questions to this same person, he seemed annoyed and gave us vague answers. The room had a wonderful view of the air-conditioner. The breakfast in the hotel was a complete rip-off. I could have spent $17 on slimy eggs, dry sausage and greasy bacon and at least had more variety. The alarm clock in the vacant room next to us went off two mornings in a row after we complained about being woken up at 5 am!

This hotel is good for its price. It is by no means a 4 star hotel as we would normally expect in the US, but it is clean, pleasant, and comfortable. The location is in downtown, close to the nightlife of St Catherine and Crescent St. It is also 2 blocks from one metro, and 3-4 blocks from a second metro stop. Traveling throughout the city from the hotel was therefore very easy. Also, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff helpful. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.

Far too noisy....kids running up and down the hall at midnight and talking. LONG walk from quality restaurants-25 minutes at least. Parking $15, and there was an over-booed conference the day we left---meaning that cars were parked three deep in the parking lot and it took valet 25 minutes to move them to get me out. Still, very good value for money, nice pool, and helpful, professional staff.
