The hotel is located in a fairly new low rise business area and it took us a bit of time to get orientated. Due to its position I think it is primarily a business type hotel but its location at the edge of the Marina, and a pool, gives it a holiday atmosphere. We chose it as a quiet retreat from the city, with a convenient 30 minute ferry ride to San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf. This offered spectacular views of the city and Bay area. A nearby shopping Mall offes supermarket, eateries and fast food outlets. The ferry terminal is about 5 mins by car with free all day parking. We found the hotel met all our needs for service, comfort, convenience and price. The hotel had little local information but purchase of a map at the local supermarket gave us all the information regarding ferry terminals and local shops. Our room balcony overlooked the marina, The room was excellent, with fridge and microwave. We would definitely use it again.

Just one night on our way to the East Bay and on to Sacramento, but very quiet, clean, good breakfast, comfortable bed, pleasant location...all we could ask for at a very reasonable price.

Check in late w/ the grouchy woman running the counter. Spare blanket in closet appeared to have been used and tossed onto the shelf. One of the towels had a black smudge on it, like it had been used to wipe a shoe. A/C unit was ancient, barely able to keep room comfortably cool - at highest fan and lowest temp settings.

the corridors where shabby as was the rooms and as for the pool area where do i start the pool itself was filthy and the plastic screens closing the area were non existant there were just yellow caution tape or brown boards securing the area. also the proximity to san fransisco is mis leading we were approx 15 miles away with no public transport, when we asked the reception staff for help we were told just get a taxi. not very helpful

I liked it so much I extended my stay there. The staff was very nice and the little town atmosphere out side of Oakland was very nice. The room was small but you can tell that they put money back into the hotel to make the room nice and clean. I fell that I got such a good deal that I got more then I paid for.

The Marina Village Inn was a perfect location for our visit to Alameda. It is located in a lovely setting adjacent to the marina and close to restaurants and stores.

The toilet backed up right away, but the maintenance man came quickly to fix that. Besides that the staff was very friendly, the view is awesome. The pool has a marina view. They must of put some money into this place as it looks updated. They provided ""Bath & Body"" products, which I love and definetly prefer over those cheap body soaps and shampoo's most hotels provide. I would definetly stay here again. Their check out time is no later than noon time which we loved as we love to sleep in on weekends. I'd definetly would say the staff made this a very pleasant stay.

We had stayed at the Marina Village Inn on a previous visit and found it very sitisfying. Things have certainly changed in a couple of years! The ceiling in our room had a large mildew stain from an obvious leak, and the yacht club next door had a very loud band. The lobby was under costuction so hopefully they are making an effort to upgrade.

The hotel is in a state of uncompleted projects and looks like it might be struggling. Did not have directions to hotel so when called was put on hold repeatedly for long amounts of time. Had to call back three times to finally get directions that could be understood. Bed was wonderful.

The Marina Village Inn is located in a quiet, residential feeling neighborhood next to the Yacht Club. It is peaceful, and serene. Staff are helpful and friendly. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Marina atmosphere is like a different world from just across the water in Oakland. A nice place that I would recommend.

The Marina Village is an older motel, however, it offers some nice upgrades such as computer hookup, iron and ironing board in the room and a full length mirror. Our room faced the yacht club and we enjoyed watching the rowers and birds outside from our deck. The room was very quiet. The bathroom was roomy and the water pressure was amazing, like getting a massage. We enjoyed the loveseat and table and the microwave and fridge. The only negative I have was the bed was very hard. We would stay there again, the next time we visit the kids.

The Marina Village Inn was a place to stay before we left on a trip. We will definitely make it a return destination for a few days. A quiet location at the end of a cull a sac, overlooking the marina (a bit difficult to find late at night) make it quite quiet for sleeping. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice everything was; and the amenities included for the money. We have paid 3 to 4 times as much for less. The pool area looked great for a summer visit.

This hotel has a great location that is safe as it is in a nice neighborhood.

The Marina Village was located in a clean safe neighborhood. The room was comfortable and clean. There was plenty of space. The only complaints were the stairs. There was no one to carry luggage upstairs and there were no elevators. Also, the heater made lots of noise and had to be turned off in order to sleep which made the room very cold during the night.

My husband and I were happy with everything except the shower, because it drained very slow. The only thing that was bad was how to find the hotel once we were on the right street. The brighter lights on the street or a bigger and well lite. We had to call the hotel and have them guide us white on our cell phone after we had gone around in circles a least three times.
