Located at the end of the road, jutting out into the sea, it's a quiet peaceful hotel. You'll find yourself surrounded by the sounds and smells of the ocean. The hotel itself seems to be in the midst of a remodel therefore some of the rooms have older outdated furnishings, are in need of paint and general maintence. This being a hotel surrounded by the ocean you might have to adjust to the smell of dampness which was very noticeable in our room. Otherwise the rooms are spacious, the staff gracious, the pool and spa welcoming. The continental breakfast is a bit on the skimpy side, the quality is a 4 on a 1-10 scale of 10 being best. One of the big pluses at Oceanside Marina Suites are the poolside BBQs, which are free to by the hotel guests. Another plus is the free use of DVD players, just ask at the first desk are they available on a first come basis. Looking forward to the final remodel, this hotel is affordable, accomodating and can only get better!

Beautiful location on the marina. The construction going on. Great location and beautiful scenery. I would have liked to have known that there was total renovation going on at the property.

This hotel is right on the Oceanside marina. Marina and ocean views. Seafood resturants all around. Lush landscaping, beautiful grounds. Contiential breakfast OK. You could probably walk to the beach, but I didn't see an easy way to go about it. The room was cozy, the bed was comfortable, the shower was a little weird...no real shower door just a curtain, no tub enclosure, just open stone flooring. I would definately stay here again.

Very nice ambience right by the seashore in the harbor. Bad parking, no A/C, whirlpool jets weak, noisy teenagers until 4 am. This hotel is located in a romantic little spot in the harbor with a great view of the ocean and surrounding jetties. There was a nice little mall area close by with great food and quaint little shops. The hotel was elegant in the public areas but my room was a bit on the passe side. The mattress was likely the worst one I've had the misfortune to encounter in recent years. Overall, a good experience with the pool, sunshine, and whirlpool (which also might require an update).

"The hotel stinks, quite literally! We were not notified this was a smokers hotel where smoking is allowed(encouraged?) in all public areas, very unhealthy for children and seniors. Cigarette butts were strewn throughout the grounds. The very basic rooms had the foul smoke odour, no a/c and worn couches. There is insufficient parking. The staff are surly and in need of service industry training. "

Not a very family friendly place. Ask for a renovated room. Unrenovated rooms could really use some work. Furniture appears dirty, worn. Pull out couch not comfortable. You heard lots of noise from other guests. Breakfast was pretty bare. If you weren't there first thing, you'd likely miss out on it. Great view. Seems like the hotel had really nice rooms, we just weren't in one. Nice to have a fully equipped kitchen.

"Potholes in the parking lot, no AC, old musty smelling room, 1/2 eaten pie in the fridge, pkgs. of condoms in the nightstand, dirty tub, jar of full baby food jar under the ottoman, cigarette butt in the toilet, TERRIBLE mattress...need I say more??? We checked out first thing in the morning."

I was in Oceanside for business and didn't want to spend too much...so my options were quite limited. Everyone was very, very kind, efficient, and the rooms were spacious and clean. I was upgraded at no cost, the bathrooms were great, and I had a gorgeous view of the beach. It was great! :)

"Parking limited,had to park at a nearby restaurant. No suite, regular hotel room- old musty smell. Renovating next to our room.No A/C.No beach- had to drive to a pay lot to go to beach.Cust.Service lacking- clerks not helpful or knowledgable about area. BUT beautiful views of ocean, gorgeous landscaping & scenery outside.Beautiful lobby. Big bathroom. Decent pool. Relaxing gazebo by ocean."

I found the desk staff at this hotel to be wonderfully helpful. The maid lacked customer service skills. The view was wonderful and the room condusive to relaxation. Many rooms under renovation will be very nice place to stay when updated. I was very pleased to have balcony to smoke on.

The hotel rooms where a great surprise. We stayed in one of their King non-smoking suites and it was like an apartment. We loved all the space and it made us feel like we were staying in a condo. There was lot's of closet space and a separate bedroom with a dressing area. A full kitchen and dinning area and a living room with a fireplace. They are going through a renovation so there was a little inconvenience but the staff made it comfortable enough you didn't mind. I love being outdoors so I especially enjoyed being located on the Marina and it's harbor. I sat outside in the morning in one of their harbor side rocking chairs sipping my coffee and reading the newspaper while watching all the harbor traffic go by. We even had some seals entertain us. The beach,small shops and lot's of good restaurants were all close enough to walk to.
