I was pleasantly surprised at the resort. The room was a 1 bedroom with a lockout. I had 3 of my buddies with me and it worked out perfectly. The rooms were very nice and clean. Location is the best if you are going to Cabo to go fishing. It is a short walk to the beaches if you want to party during the day. The town shopping and dining area is also close. The closest thing I can say as a complaint is if you are taking your female counterpart, she may want to be pampered a bit more. The spa was only so-so. The staff was very helpful. Good security at the location as well. I will definately be going back soon!

Location! Close to beach and down town bars. Pillows could have been more fluffly.

We just got back from staying here from Feb 28 - March 7th. We loved that the hotel was right downtown and on the right "side of the tracks." It is on the newer side of the marina, it is super clean, great restaurants and shopping. We considered staying at the Tesoro on the other side of the marina and are very glad that we didn't. It must be the older, original side of the marina, a bit outdated, loud, dirty and people trying to sell you stuff everywhere you turned! We definitely did not experience this anywhere near the Marina Fiesta. Rooms are very clean..I inspected everything because I am a bit OCD! They are a little older but perfect, comfortable and relaxing. The pool gets a bit filmy and has a few floaters on the surface by the end of the day but that is to be expected with so many people going in and out of it all day. They are up cleaning the pool area by 7am, scrubbing the tile/cement, cleaning the chairs, wiping down the railings, landscaping, and so forth..you would never see that in the US! They do try to get you for a timeshare when you first check-in but we said that we weren't interested and kept walking.

We booked this hotel in less than two hours research after another option fell through. I was ready for the worst, but was very pleasantly surprised. Location is awesome, as it is right in the heart of the Cabo action. Its probably a quarter mile walk to the swim beach and beach front restraunts, and right on the marina. We had a master suite, which is a tight fit for for people for a week, as it is all one room with passable kitchenette. It did have two queens, and a hideaway bed/couch. That made for the need to get out of there as much as possible. If it was only two people, we might have tolerated eating in room and saving more money than we did. Almost got the junior suite, but that would have been intolerable for four people. Read complaints about the time share sales pitches, and the hotel staff was GREAT at taking no for an answer. Now of course everywhere else in Cabo, they don't understand no, but that is no fault of the hotel. They left us alone, and were very proffesional. Great family trip in the end, which can be tough with a 15 and 17 y.o. teens, but we were all able to enjoy the trip. Not luxurious, but certainly not a dump, and affordable.

The hotel was very convenient to everything, beaches shopping, water activities. The room was adequate and clean. We went last week and they did not have much business I have to assume due to the "swine flu" scare. I had asked for a room with a view of the marina which I figured with no guests it wouldn't be a problem. They gave me a room overlooking the marina however I was about 20 feet above the pool and the pool's huge palapa bar was blocking a majority of my marina view. I also asked for a later check-out by 2 hours and they could not accomadate us. I mean they really had no guests so I figured they would do whatever necessary to make the few they had happy. Also we were constantly bothered by the staff, including daily phone calls to our room in the morning to do the timeshare presentation. I would stay there again but only if I couldn't get into one of the beachfront hotels nearby that are just as conveniently located to town but have the bonus of being right on the beach. We spent several mornings and afternoons at the Cabo Villas which was awesome.

Location is convenient and pool facility is okay. Staff are not very helpful and noise from night club are terrible. The hotel is suited right in the middle of the town, so it is close to everything, including noises from night club. The clubs operate from 9pm to 6am and its noise is unbearable. The staff at hotel are aware of the problem but never try to fix it. They never tell the clubs or call police or upgrade their windows. Or maybe they should at least give every guest a ear plug or headset to block the noise. Anyway, very disappointed. Won't stay again.

The Hotel/timeshare was very nice. Not elegant, but nice and clean. Felt great about coming into the room after being at the pool area or shopping in the "Luxury" mall right next door. The staff members were excellent at doing their jobs and being friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient to the shopping and restaurant areas, out the back door. Beautiful views of the marina and within easy walking distance to the beach/bar areas or downtown area. My only complaint is the fitness center was not up to par. The weights were included and on the top floor covered, but open with great views, however, there were no cardio or weight machines at this location. The cardio was in the spa in the basement with a daily fee to use which had no weights. The breakfast buffet was very good and 16.00 USD. including a chef for your requests.

Before we even got to the hotel someone warned us of their timeshare people. They pretty much told us that the hotel timeshare staff were very aggressive and won't take no for an answer. They also warned us that the valet staff stall to get your car in order for the timeshare folks to bother you. This is so much the truth! We were harrassed from the moment we stepped foot on the property. We had already booked to go see a timeshare someplace else and the Marina Fiesta folks kept at us so we said we would look at their place as well and make a decision as to which property we would like or what suited us best. Well instead of just leaving us alone after we booked with them to see their property they kept trying to get us to not look at the one we first booked. My brother in law had to finally get nasty with them to get them to leave us alone. Needless to say we canceled going to see their property, bought the other timeshare property and had them move us up their for the remainder of our stay. Marina Fiesta is a nice place, clean and nice pool area and close to hot spots in town but the pusy timeshare folks ruined it for us and we were so glad to get up to our new timeshare and not be held hostage every time we wanted to use our car or be bothered every time you went to the lobby area. Nice place but pushy people. The staff were nice and when we checked out they were understanding.

Nice rooms with plenty of space, including a full kitchen. We especially like the bench seating in the kitchen area that double as single beds allowing us to spread out. Clean hotel--they spend a lot of attention making it look and feel nice. Quiet, too, especially since it's so close to town. We were there during spring break and there were lots of college kids, but it was never overwhelming. There was a "Happy Hour" with free drinks and food one evening, but with all the college kids, they "descended" on the buffet and cleaned it out---we thought management would bring out more, but when it was gone, it was gone, so get there early! Check out was slow and then complicated because every one who was checking out was being charged for mini bar items, even if they hadn't used them--so I suggest when the bell man brings you to your room, to ask for a list of items including quantity, of what is in the fridge and VERIFY it's all there--created quite a problem not only for us, but for all the poor college kids trying to check out. Sad... They also seemed a little short-staffed--we rarely had wait staff attend to us at the back pool, so if you want to be waited on, stay at the main pool by the Marina. When you arrive, they'll try to tempt you with freebies if you visit their timeshare place up the coast...good values if you can give up a morning to listen to the pitch--but they do practice hard sell, so be careful...we stayed here about 10 years ago and not much has changed in the hotel---but clean, nice and a very convenient place to stay.

The location can't be beat. The alcohol is way overpriced! Over all a great place to stay although we learned really fast that we would go broke drinking at the swim up bar everyday. On the second day we asked a local where we could buy cheap groceries. We had to walk about 10 minutes off the tourist strip but we bought some food and our alcohol for the room. Bet we saved a few hundred dollars. Have fun find a young guy named Angel he can speak great English and is very helpful.

I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and love it. It is by far the greatest value in town. Close to everything and the staff is exceptional. The entire resort is locked down 24 hours a day and the security is top notch. The only real downfall is the check out time.

The Marina Fiesta is located right on the marina, which is where all the shopping and restaurants are. It is a very safe area for all ages. It is within walking distance of the night life areas also, but still far enough away where you don't have to be a part of it if you don't want to be. You can walk around the entire marina at an easy pace in less than 45 minutes. There is also a beach you can walk to in about 15 minutes but the beach you will want to check out you will need a boat ride for. If you decide to stay out in the hotel resort strip area you will be renting a car/taking a cab to be at this area. This is the place to be. Cab ride from the airport to here was 80 one way for two people but it is a 40 minute drive. Be prepared to pay too much for everything in Cabo except for nick-nacks you plan to bring back. You will get tired of saying no thanks to timeshares and junk people keep pushing on you but if you are actually looking for gifts then you will be very happy with your options. The Marina Fiesta was clean and safe. Perfect if you are just lookong for comfort and convenience. The kitchenette came in handy for breakfast. We never actually ate at any of the resort restaurants. They are located out by the marina with the rest of the restaurants except for the daily breakfast buffet which they set up next to the pool. The staff was really nice and helpful. Although they have a timeshare pitch like all resorts do we said no thanks and that was the last we heard about it.

This is the best place to stay in Cabo San Lucas if you are goig there to FISH! Its, comfortable, clean and convienient. You will save money on cabs because you will never need one.You can walk to the Marina where all the boats are, there are plenty of restaurants and shops and a very nice mall to shop at.There is even a Sergio Bustamante Gallery in the mall! (A must see) My deep sea fishing expedition guide service has booked 2 very successful trips there for the last 2 consecutive years and 2 previous trips.

Location, pool and bar. Children under age drinking & parting late in to Morn. I overall liked staying here, would stay again. Would try to observe who is next to us so we are able to sleep at night, or maybe have security that roams the hotel for early morning disturbances.

This motel is beautiful and is in the best possible location. Staff are very helpful. Restaurants are just down the way and are very good. Baja Lobster opened the day after we arrived and we spent almost every late evening there for drinks or a late nite dessert. We stayed in a master suite with our grown daughter and everything worked out great. People around town are very nice and friendly. Fishing is great, too. All three of us can't wait until we can come back and stay at Marina Fiesta again. Great Place.

Location is great but we won't be staying there again because of all the construction next to the hotel. (actually the construction is from 2 sides of the hotel) The front desk attendent told us that the constuction has been going on for 4 years, on and off. We were not informed when we booked or checked into the hotel about the noise. The cement trucks start at 5 am!! Air horns and all. The hotel was totally booked so we couldn't even move to another room. No compensation was given even though we asked. We tried to speak to the Manager but with no luck. He was 'unavailable'.

The hotel immediately upgraded our room when they found out this was our honeymoon, at no extra cost. They were friendly and by the time we left we were on first name basis with the staff down by the pool. The location was perfect. Walking distance to everything you could possibly want food, shopping etc.I would go back in a heartbeat.

Clean floor. Undusted in low-use areas. Pressure to buy timeshare. Small bottles of water cost $4.00 (US) each. I did not like the sign in the room that told us that any missing towels would be charged to the cleaning staff. We got into a political discussion about this and decided that whoever runs the hotel is a dictator.

Marina Fiesta was awesome, we were preparing ourselves for what may come and it we were astounded. The beds have been re-vamped. We stayed in the top floor corner (not sure what type of room it was) and it was bigger than most apartments facing the pool and marina. The security was tip-top, we were paranoid about people following us home from the clubs but it was gated and the guards were always there. Paranoia died after one night. Staff are very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

This hotel had a great location. Water taxi to the beach and the pool was great. The fitness room sucked. No cardio only weights. The only bad thing about this hotel other than the fitness room was the hotel staff. They were absolutely unfriendly and seemed to be put out even if you ordered a drink. Not a friendly place at all. So, we'd just head to the beach every day and the marina at night and avoided the hotel altogether. Because the location was absolutely great.
