Clean hotel in convenient location (across street) from arriving / departing ferries. Free internet service and friendly hotel staff. Close to main tourist street, but very quiet. Breakfast was excellent and offered a large selection of cold and warm food. Restaurant has a view of the harbor. Laundry available or self laundry mat available less than 20 feet away.

Marin Dream Hotel was very good value. Their restaurant on the top floor has a magnificent view of the harbour. Their breakfasts were sumptuous and the restaurant was also open for dinner, with a good a la carte menu. The staff were extremely obliging and I would recommend it for the location as well - close to ferries and museum etc.

Breakfast on the roof terrace looking out to the harbour area was excellent. Very good choice of food, and the view was breathtaking.

The hotel lives up to its name, we had a dream stay here. The staff are fantastic especially Maria who could not have been more helpful. Having never been to Heraklion before I had no idea where anything was or the best places to go and the help I received from Maria was worth its weight in gold. The room was comfortable and clean but it was very small and had no bathtub only a shower. Apart from that everything else was fine. The breakfast was one of the best continental breakfasts I have had, Sunday was an English breakfast. I had to wait for my partner to finish his work on Sunday but also had to vacate the room, it is not easy in January in Crete to stay occupied. I stayed at the hotel using the internet, watching tv and relaxing for the day. I remained in the hotel lobby/bar area until past 10pm that night and once again this was no problem for the staff. I can not praise them enough. Well done and I will re visit ASAP. Keep up the good work.

I had a clean room that smelt of suffocating cigarette smoke throughout my 2 nights stay. Should have asked for a room change. Also, got a call from reception in the middle of my 2nd night there claiming that my neighbours complaned about the loud TV from my room, when I was obviously sleeping. A moment later, heard them knocking on another room door instead. Other than these, it was a nice, business-type hotel, within walking distance to many places.
