Staff very efficient, friendly and helpful. Room facilities very good but bar facilities quite poor. A little off the beaten track. While enjoyed the quietness of the area after being in La Rampla, would have liked a location where you could find a bar/restaurant open at the weekend without having to go back into the city.

Very good value deal. Great location of hotel and friendliness of staff. Room next to elevator was slightly noisy, so try to avoid when being checked in. Free WiFi also a plus. All in all if you get it at a good rate, would certainly recommend it.

It is not easy to find the hotel at first because provided map did not describe it in detail. So I collected detailed maps by visiting another website. The room itself is Ok, but quality of extra bed is not so good.

It's bigger than my flat... 35 or 40 sq m, very helpfull staff. The location is gorgeus, not so far from the center, although there are a lot of places to take some dinner and drink somethig.I will come back again to Mariano Cubi if I could go again to Barcelona.

Although it says it is an apartment hotel - and the rooms are large and include a kitchen - it doesn't have the essentials. In the kitchen there is exactly:1 plate and knife and fork2 cup and saucer1 kettle1 saucepanSo you can't even have breakfast cereal in the room, let alone contemplate cooking something. So I don't really see what the point of the kitchen is.....The breakfast you pay for isn't great for EUR9.50 (reduced, apparently, by 40%).

We enjoyed our stay. In the room there was an extensive guide to Barcelona. They kept our luggage in a safe room, as a free service after we checked out in the morning and until we needed to catch our plane in the afternoon. Towels were changed, beds made and the room cleaned already after 1 night!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Helpful pleasant staff. Very clean + comfortable. Huge comfy bed. Quiet location, just north of Diagonal. A 25 min walk from Pl de Catalunya, but is a pleasant walk up Ramblas de Catalunya. Alternatively, very close to Metro Gracia. Would definitely stay there again. Thank-you.

The Adress is wrong. The right adress is calle Maria Cubi not Mariano Cubi; this adress not exit in the navigator. The room is poor and the bath room terrible. The taps and fittings was out of order and was impossible to mixed cold and warm water.

I really recommend this Hotel! We've had a triple room. It had the right size - no double room with third bed. It was a true tripple room.

I had a 4night stay mid of February with my son(15) and daughter (13). We very much appreciated the cordiality of the employees. We had 3 beds in two rooms+bathroom: one bedroom and a spacious livingroom with couch, bed, table and a kitchenette. (The kitchenette was not equipped with cookware, dishes and cutlery; didn't matter to us for this short stay.) The hotel restaurant was nice with few guests. For friends of seafood: Quite impressing restaurant "Botafumeiro" is just 10 minutes away on foot. Breakfast in the Hotel: multifarious and okay, whereas 15EUR seemed not to be an exceptional offer. Parking in the hotel garage was possible, as soon as one of the rare parking sites became free. 24EUR parking per day seemed to be fair market price. Another garage is available just around the corner. Surroundings: it is not a noble quarter, it's not on a beach, it's not in a park or on a famous boulevard; but it's a fine city Hotel, surrounded by likeable real life. We really had a nice stay an can recommend Mariano Cubí as basis to explore Barcelona.

Hotel is a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro station and a further 4 stops or 10 mins to Catalunya/top of Las Ramblas. Is also about 35-40 minute walk downhill to the same place so good location. Room was large, bright and clean. Free wireless internet on each floor makes it perfect for laptop users. Free breakfast was good with a good choice. Reception staff spoke much better English than I have come across in other Hotels and were willing to speak English if you wish. Price although discounted through late Rooms was not particularly great value although all hotels in Barcelona are expensive. There are 2 supermarkets, KFC, McDonalds and several Cafes serving fresh food and a couple of nightclubs within a 5 minute walk and a pizza place - 'Boston Pizza' about 40 metres from the Hotel. The bath in the bathroom was very short (2/3 length of a standard english one) as seems to be prevalent in Barcelona so not very good for a proper Bath but the shower over the bath was fine. Would stay there again and recommend to anyone.

Very comfortable, stylish, clean and large rooms with W-lan for free. The hotel is very charming. May be not the perfect place to stay, if you want to go to bed at 9 PM. The area around is pretty loud. Many bars and restaurants there and the insulation of windows isn´t the very best. Breakfast is perfect with a wide choice of everything. The hotel has a car garage, but it costs 24 EUR/day, which is the usual price in Barcelona even for public garages. Nevertheless I recommend using it, because parking in the streets is nearly impossible. Vice Versa the hotel is a very good wine restaurant. Also on Maria Cubi Street there´s an argentinian restaurant: "Los anos locos". It´s always full of locals and they know why. An absolute insider-tip. If you don´t like eating in restaurants at all, you can cook by yourself in the kitchen area of your room (though I´m not sure, whether every room is equipped with that). There´s even a supermarket next to the hotel (closing time not before 9 PM).

Lusso sfrenato.

It wasn't the first time in Mariano Cubì. It is a very good resort closed to underground and to several nice and very good restaurants. Otherwise there are a lot of problems for parking car. The internal garage is always full and it is very difficult to park outside the hotel.

Overall good hotel with very large and modern rooms. Unfortunately, very noisy from neighboorhood and other hotel rooms... It was very difficult to find the hotel; unfortunately too far from city centre.
