I ended up at this hotel because the other hotel I was in was a dump. This hotel was average and could have used some updates. Gave usually continental breakfast for two, but the house keeping was not the greatest. We had to callback to have our bathroom cleaned and to have our sheets changed. The pool area was decent but the kid pool was full of sand. The beach was clean. Overall we were comfortable there.

The hotel room was spacious. I was thankful that there was a kitchen with refrigerator. I had a great view from the 10th floor. The hotel staff was not efficient. The hotel lobby's decor reminded of a hospital's lobby from the 50's. Not very attractive. I was told at check-in that I had to pay an extra resort fee.

The hotel even tho it's not a 5*hotel it's very nice ,clean and the rooms are very spatious!all the staff of the hotel they were very nice and willing to help.we got there around 10:30am and even tho the check-in was around 3pm the receptionist gave us the keys and all the info so we can make ourselfs comfortable and enjoy!!!!very very nice.that was a great deal!

I had an excellent time!!! The hotel was beautiful! (Right on the beach) the Price was excellent! The staff was excellent!! I recommend!

The fact that an additional 18% was tacked on to my trip expense for $8.00 daily resort fee and $15.00 DAILY MANDATORY VALET PARKING WAS PREPOSTEROUS. I COULD UNDERSTAND THE RESORT FEE BUT THE MANDATORY VALET IS A CROCK. MY TRIP COST $230.00 MORE THAN IT WAS SUPPOSED TOO.. I WILL NEVER USE ORBITZ AGAIN FOR THE LACK OF CLARIFICATION AND NOTICATION OF SUCH HIDDEN FEES.

There was nothing nice about the hotel the room was bad and unsanitary. Cleanliness room was horrible. Iwould never stay there ever again.I called to complain and nothing was done. This place is a health risk.

We were not expecting a luxury hotel but not a less then perfect place either! The staff is less than helpful. The manager on duty when we checked in , could not have been any more rude. The restaurant was terrible and the lounge that touted 2 for 1 drinks and hors d'oeuvres was a joke. The 2 for 1 drinks were little plastic cups of Bud and/or Bud Light and the hors d'oeuvres were popcorn and something that resembled wings. The carpet on the floor of the room made your feet black when you walked on it. So black that when you took a shower there were black footprints on the tub floor. The bathroom was disgusting. The only saving grace to this place is the pool and the beach! Stay away from this place!

Ist night room had black mold on floor. Switched. Second room closet door fell off, sink would not drain, iron messed up, safe (part of resort fee of 8), after waiting two days for 2hours for it to be fixed, never worked. Wall paper had holes, balcony door looked like someone had jimmied it open and we never felt safe. Halls smelled. Avoid at all cost.

It was run down ,outdated and had no amenities like any restaurants or stores near by, not a "resort" as described. Will not stay here again, or recommend.

nothing discrimination to everyone that was not jewis They had everything for the Jewis people, we din't have access to the restaurant, to the music to the pool to the elevator everything was for the Jewis ONLY!!! that was a very big discrimination for all other guess that we paid the same hotel fair.

Overall, this hotel was a good value for the money spent in hotel/flight inclusive package for being beachfront. The pool is awesome and is kept warm! The beach was awesome, I did not see any jellyfish but had walked a long the beach in front of other hotels and found a lot of jellyfish. The breakfast was okay, a lot to choose from but only have the items tasted good and if you have more than 2 people in your room then you have to pay 11 dollars for each other person which I was not informed about or did not read on their site. Staff are rude, cold, and short and have accents that are hard to understand english through. This hotel is located at the end of the beachfront/hotel strip on Collins avenue. Rooms are suitable but could be updated, there is a huge space in the doors where light comes in. Cable is in rooms!

Room had a musty odor, I even bought lysol and it still the odor lingered. The rooms need some major updating, and don't dare go to the public bathroom in the lower level. Pool is way smaller than in photos. For those that want to save the extra dollars I would highly recommend choosing another hotel this one was not worth it!!!

Hotel is old and somewhat run down. It is clean and staff was great. I was in town for business and it was quite adequate for the short time I spent in the room. I did not have time to use the pool or go to the beach. It was located very convieniently.

Location. The odor at the bottom of the hotel. When we arrived, the man at the desk told me they had a room for us, but we had to change rooms the next day.

My family and I stayed here at the Marco Polo. It was very nice. The check in was simple since we booked online. The room was decent and the kitchenette proved to be a helpful addition since we had a small child with us we were able to keep her satisfied by going to the store and getting her favorites. The room wasn't spectacularly clean, but it was decent and with a lil everything was really nice. The concerge was the save the day crew. They booked up on an amazing tour for a low price. **The bus that runs infront of the hotel will take you all the way downtown**

We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Valet parking is 14/day.The longest wait we had for our car was only 15mins. There are two complimentary breakfasts given per room. Breakfast was great. We purchased two more for 10 each. Kids loved the very large selection. Pool is very large and clean. Lots of lounge chairs around. Room was quiet other than we could hear the fridge running. Glad we stayed in North beach rather than South. Quieter and less traffic. Better area for families.

An old hotel that may say they have remodeled, however when we walked into our room and there was DUCT tape on the corners of the windows, stains on the carpet and the water in the bathroom sink didn't go down I asked for another room. The next room was a little better except for one little flaw; the door didn't require a key ! You could just walk up and push the door open ! My third attempt, the room was somwhat better but if I wanted to stay at a flea bag I wouldn't have paid a suite price. Don't even consider this dump.

The Lobby was nice and the location was good. Room, service and staff was not acceptable. Our room was old and repairs were poorly done. Closet doors did not work, could barely open the door to the balcony and when you finally opened it wouldn't close. Phones did not work so it was difficult to call. Maid service came so late in the day we told them to forget it we needed to rest. Room was falling apart. Food was awful at the buffet. Runny eggs and watered down hone-style potatoes. The cereal was stale to the point it seemed as though it was sitting out for over a month. This was one of the worse hotel experiences in my life.

Older hotel. Could not upgrade to suite through travel website. Dining room was empty, but decided to try it anyway...big mistake..rubbery cold food. Expect to drive to get to decent dining. Travel website warns "Effective February 4th, the resort will collect a daily per room resort fee of $8.00 upon checkin", but does not tell you this does not cover anything! Beach umbrella is $10 and each chair is $3. Valet parking is $15/day and expect to wait up to 20min for your car.

September, 2006
The facade and the lobby of this building are by far it's best features. The location is good...well...it's on Collins(although at 19000block). We spent as little time as possible at this hotel. Only to sleep....but the airconditioner was so loud, that sleep was almost impossible. Valet parking attendants are slow and unfriendly, the balcony is divided from the others by only a short wall(leaving you feeling un-secure), and the pillows are about as thick as the Miami Herald. I wouldn't stay here again, and wouldn't recommend it to others.
