The Maple Lodge gets its name from the seven acre maple tree plantation that surrounds it. The hotel is nearby to Wanaka, but it is in a peaceful area by itself. Guests of the hotel can enjoy both the restaurants and shopping centers of the town and the natural attractions of the Southern Lakes area. While the Maple Lodge does have a complementary shuttle service to take guests to and from Wanaka and to and from the airport, the hotel recommends that all guests have their own vehicles so that they can easily get around and see the sights.

The rooms of the Maple Lodge include complimentary bottled water, high-speed Internet access, satellite television, and direct-dial phones, which get free local calls.

This new boutique hotel offers guests a lounge area with a fireplace, a television, and a DVD player.
