I stayed at the Mantra for a few days so i could do some city photography. I read reviews and thought it would be loveley...well it wasnt that good. The hallways always had dirty dishes on the floors and room service was a bit slow. I went to the Chameleon Cafe down stairs for lunch and the workers didn't know what they were doing and the coffee was burnt. So not happy with that, but was extremely happy with the location and views.

our stay was very pleasant and they assisted whenever we required, ie organised taxi's allowed us to leave our luggage there after check out and all staff were very helpful.

My family and I stayed in a 2 Bed Apartment at Mantra on the Park for a friends wedding. The location was perfect, easy to walk everywhere but not in the middle of the Chaos. We had a wonderful view of the Park and Mueseum from the Balcony. The decor was a bit dated but was still tidy and the price was great.

Great place to stay. Very clean, good location close to free tram stop. The bed was a little hard and the bedrooms are small. Pool was great. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The cafe/wine bar was open until late, the food was good and reasonably priced. We would stay there again.

Big Rooms, comfy living area, all you need when getting away and living the city life. The balcony had perfect views.

We loved it there. Comfortable sofa and chairs, well equipped kitchen. A comfortbale bed (what more can you want) and within walking distance to the CBD as well as restaurants and theatres.

Excellent place to stay in melbourne, City Circle tram right beside it and easy walk to Lygon St, Vic market and into the central city. Ask for a room with a view when you check in. We got to look at a wall across a courtyard where people could walk and look into our room, the only down side.

One of the best places to stay in Melbourne if the pricing is kept competitive with standard hotel rooms. The only negative is the pricey internet charges of $29 per day. This seems to be standard in most Melbourne hotels and is massively overpriced.

The hotel was in a very good position just outside the main centre of Melbourne. The room facilities were excellent and clean. The reception staff were generally really helpful. The breakfast room was spacious and the food of good quality. The only adverse criticism was the noise level from the street below which was very intrusive early in the morning.

Good apartment style hotel in a good location with great views (on the upper floors) with very good facilities and close to some great restaurants including Lygon Street. Highly recommended for the business traveller as the rooms have good writing desks. Also, great for a family stay.

The staff at the front desk were very friendly & helpful, especially Ana. We were upgraded to the penthouse & it was lovely. We enjoyed very much the spaciousness of the apartment & the balcony facing the park. It was also nicely furnished though a bit dated. The only flaw was the old & moldy shower which needed to be remodelled. The complimentary breakfast buffet was wonderful ! Location was very convenient.

Great location close to Lygon St and also some great restaurants nearby in Crossley St (try the one at 1A Crossley - Van Haus -hidden away but excellent value). Rooms good size especially for families but also good for businessmen. Internet a bit pricy compared to other places I've stayed, but overall would recommend highly for a few nights in Melbourne. On site parking a bonus!

We booked a 1 bedroom apartment for 3 nights but were upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment because all the 1 bedroom apartments were fully booked, so that was great. Service at reception was very efficient altho’ they didn't seem to know in advance that we were to be given a bottle of wine, and they weren't aware of the late check-out time of 12 noon about which they were very apologetic. It was a very nice apartment with great views, but it had a strongly scented cleaning product odour to which my wife is highly sensitive, and the location of the hotel is very noisy.
