My boyfriend took me here for a weekend away - the units were beautiful but it seemed to so far away from everything but it wasnt really. The pool close to our hotel was out of order which wasnt good as the other pool was packed the whole stay - it wasnt very relaxing. There needs to be an onsite cafe or room service as it seems like a big resort so it should have some food / drink facilities. Overall it was good but would have rathered to stay somewhere else for that price.

1770 is a stunning place, but the mantra seemed to come straight from a B horror movie: there was no one else there! Other than the receptionist who gave me my key and promptly locked up and went home, I saw no other staff or guests! I kept expecting zombies to gather at the door at midnight. It was out of season, but all those empty rooms and car parks? It is surrounded by building sites which added to the creepy atmosphere. None of the pools were heated so they were too cold to swim in. I expect it may be a nice place in season when they have finished the building work and have a few more guests and some staff.

Some good rooms, though the site is surrounded by ongoing building work and the current complex is not yet fully up and running. It is possibly too new, with few and poorly trained staff, and incomplete facilities.

Great place to stay , but needs to have an onsite resturant as there are not many in town.

The apartments are spectacular however the outlook from most is a road or communal walkway. Very disappointing! The only apartments we found with a private balcony have 3 bedrooms and there are only 18 of them. We were very fortunate to be offered one of these apartments after our initial disappointment of the road vista. We came 500kms to relax at the beach not a roadway or public thoroughfare!
