We were tracing Lincoln's footsteps, and for that the location was excellent...also the Frank Lloyd Wright is right around the corner. The desk staff was very helpful. Because it is an older hotel, it could use new carpeting -- desperately needed in elevator -- and some fresh paint. But, for the price, we were very satisfied. If you enjoy European hotels, you should enjoy this one.

Spacious rooms. Had to pay to park. Classy little hotel!

I did not have clean towels for 3 days, the remote control was out of batteries for 2 days, and the elevator did not work. All of this was brant to attention to the front desk and they did nothing to help but suggest I fill out a comment card. I will never stay at this hotel even if they offered free rooms!

The staff and front desk was very helpful with check in and check out. The room was clean and comfortable. The property had adequate lighting and was safe. I will stay here again the next time I am in the area. Thank you.

Visiting Springfield and the Lincoln Museum, Stayed for one night in a first floor king mini-suite. The room was large with a sitting room and bed room. The room was a little run down and could use some updating, but was clean. The central location and great rate I received made this a terrific value. 1/2 mile walk to Lincoln's home or the Museum or Library.

Excellent room, refrigerator made it easy for me to keep my insulin refrigerated. Just kind of old.

I stayed here while in town for National Guard duty. I really enjoyed my stay. Everything was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. I will stay here for sure when I come back next time. Thank you.

The first room we were given was in shambles. The ceiling was cracked and patched. The air conditioner had no cover on it. The drawers in the dresser were missing pull knobs and last but not least, no phonebook. We went to the front desk and asked for another room. We were directed to the second room and was told it was non-smoking. When we walk into the room, it smelled from cigarettes and there were ash trays on the table. My wife has respiratory problems and can not tolerate smoking rooms. Again, back to the desk to ask for another room. The third and final room had a pair of filthy socks sitting in the bottom of the dresser. This stay was a disaster and considering what we paid, we certainly will not be spending another night here nor can I recommend anyone stay here either.

Sheets are clean. Tiny broken TV, poor plumbing, alarm put away from bed and no power outlets. The hotel premises is clean but this is an ancient hotel with poor plumbing, tiny and broken TV and remote. The alarm was placed away from bed and there were no 3 pin power outlets. The only good things was that the sheets and pillows were clean. They also charged for breakfast.

A friend referred me to this hotel. The check in was great. Friendly Staff. Clean room and everything was in working order. I will stay here again when I come back on business.

The hotel was not crowded at all. I can't understand why such a delightful place didn't have more customers. Though not right off an interstate, it's located in the middle of town, near many attractions. The parking area was in the middle, and our rooms faced the car. Very friendly staff, and a convenient computer available in the lobby. Very comfortable beds. Nice continental breakfast. Would highly recommend.

They charged me $10 to park in the lot. The room was clean and odor free, but rather old and dumpy looking. I was quite put-off by the fact that I had to pay an Incidentals fee of $10 to park in their lot with an optional $3 fee for the continental breakfast.

Large bed the extra $10.00 parking fee This hotel was a decent place to stay. No one mentioned that trains run through there all night, though. Also, they charged us an extra ten dollars to park on their parking lot. They should take some extra time and really do a thourough cleaning of their rooms..........I saw lots of dust.

Nothing. Shabby motel standard room. Charged $10 to park in their lot. Shabby motel, but expect to pay for parking and breakfast. Won't stay again.
