Recommend this hotel for several reasons...location, amenities, the staff, and la ville Quebec! The hotel is very nicely appointed for your needs- including a well-stocked mini bar, adequate towels, and extremely comfotrable bedding!. The hotel is immaculate, the room was very clean, and the bathroom sparkled. Not a hair anywhere! We were met at the entry by the doorman, and our eyes were opened by 4-star treatment from that moment! The concierge was very helpful in getting us around the city - we took the bus to the Parc Aquarium. I recommend you drive! Nevertheless, the hotel was very nice- even when we lost power one night. Flash lights were handed out and power was promptly restored. Breakfast in La Table restaurant is very good..dinner was not so good at the Ste.James bistro restaurant. Avoid the St. James. We used the fitness center every night, it was more than adequate. The pool and lockers are top notch too! Clean, well maintained and typical of the quality to be expected at this little jewel in Quebec. Planning to visit again in the summer..it was brrr-cold in Apr. But I enjoyed the warm hotel lobby, room and restaurants.

How many times will you visit Old Quebec? It is a LOVELY city, very charming, and magnifique for Christmas. I vaccilated back and forth between the Chateau Frontenac and other 4 star hotels. I ended up booking Hotel Manoir Victoria when the savings topped $** for the 4 night stay. Looking back, I wish I would have just splurged for the beautiful castle on the hill. Most of my time was spent there anyway, walking around, eating taffy on snow, tobogganing and dining. The Victoria is a newly renovated hotel with a superb location. The rooms and the hotel are clean and acceptable, they are just nothing great. The beds are what I imagine prison beds to be...hard and starched crispy. The good aspects were the size of the room was decent and the water pressure and temp was good. The room had individual temp control so that was good. However, there are no views to speak of, the shape is so unusual that the TV armoire literally, was 20 feet or more away from the bed so you cannot watch TV from the bed. The employees are kind, but very uneducated about the city, things to do, directions, activities, services and just about anything. They seemed clueless and I went online to find most things out. The food in the restaurants there are slow and bland. It was hard to find good food anywhere in Quebec though. The elevators run at a snails pace, and the spa was booked up the entire time. There is no food available after 11 pm (not even room service), so make sure you bring food back and eat. I would give the hotel 3 stars at best. Again, the location is wonderful. The hotel isn't terrible...but the Frontenac is better!

We had a grand stay at the Manoir Victoria in Old-Town Quebec. The staff were welcoming, helpful, very competent, friendly. Food was good. Location was excellent - just steps away from the nicest things in Vieux-Quebec. Everything was in good repair, working smoothly. Lobby was decorated beautifully for Christmas. We liked it!

If you are going for a couple's getaway or with children, you may like this hotel. If you have a member of your family on the wheelchair DON'T stay here. First when you get to the front of the hotel there are 3 flights of stairs without an elevator or lift for someone. They said to go around the corner (5 minutes for someone on the wheelchair) to get through a restaurant which is opened between 7am and 11pm. The restaurant places barriers/fence around the cafe area blocking the handcap accessibility completely. Someone would need to lift the whole wheelchair to get down from the side walk. The entrance is narrow. Then there are very few rooms that could fit a wheelchair through the door. Thank God our mother is still capable of getting up and taking few steps. If you plan to go in 2007 be aware that the whole area around the Chateau Frontenac is under construction and basically destroyed taking a lot of its magic. I have no idea when the construction will finish. The area around the Basilic of Notre Drame is also under construction. If you go to Quebec often as we do, be aware that some of the restaurants changed names, owners, services and menu since last summer. The service was okay, we were on the third floor and we had a nice view of a roof. If you want a view stay at the Frontenac, Hilton, Delta or Le Concord.

The hotel is in the historic district of Quebec City and is very charming. We were treated to an upgrade of our room which was a nice surprise. The room had two queen size beds and was spacious. The staff was very polite and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel with one exception. You must climb a full flight of stairs before you reach the front lobby. This might be a problem for some.

The Hotel Manoir Victoria is a very nice establishment, as it should be for the prices charged. Our room - a Grand Luxe - was spacious and well-maintained. The location within the Old City is outstanding for the peripatetic tourist, like us. The pool is quite small (although it is indoors), as is the fitness facility. We were quite disappointed with the exceptionally slow service and the no-better-than-average cost of the restaurant for the one - and only - time we tried it - although they have a wonderful American breakfuast buffet. For other meals, you can do better on any street of the Old City.

For the money the hotel was adequate, good location and staff helpful and courteous. Food service for breakfast was a little disappointing. There was not enough staff/food to handle the crowd. Things were running out creating a chaotic environment. Dinner at the St. James was good for families with kids, but I would not dine there again.

We just returned to Texas from our visit to Quebec. The old world Eurpean ambience of the hotel is stunning. In the heart of old Quebec - walked to everything. Handed over the keys to them and didn't need the car till we left. We did make one trip to I'le de Orleans and St. Anne De Beaupre. Kids loved the indoor pool after a dayof walking. I can definitley recommend this hotel - it was great!

Quality smaller hotel with old fashion charm and grace. It was so nice to stay where staff recognize you as you come and go. Very clean and the food was good too!

"This was our fourth stay at the Manoir Victoria, and each stay has been comfortable with excellent reception and large comfortable and clean rooms. The location within the Old city makes it possible to hand over the cars keys and not want a vehicle until the day of departure. "
