Nice place with friendly staff. TV way to small for the size of the room however

Clean, courteous, and quiet. Great location too. Take Bond Street station on the to reach the hotel.

my only disappointment was no tea and coffee in the room - a minor thing I know but i would have appreciated a cuppa first thing in the morning. Breakfast service was slow on the first day but completely different on the second and much better and as I had expected. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel was centrally located in Marylebone in the West End, a nice residential neighborhood near everything. The room was small but comfortable - nice linens on the bed. The TV only got about 5 English-language channels, but that wasn't a big deal. The hairdryer was in the desk drawer! But at least there was a hairdryer. The bathroom had a shower with great water pressure, so good, in fact, that water got all over the floor. There was only a half door on the tub, not sure why, so there was no way to keep water contained. I almost fell stepping out of the tub because it was so slippery. And weird. But that's really my only complaint. It was a perfect hotel for a single business traveler, not sure that I would want to share the room with anyone. My room had a double bed.

The employees were all polite and helpful. Furthermore, Marylebone is a wonderful area to stay in (provided that the late night noise from the pubs doesn't bother you). It's a lovely neighborhood with a lot of restaurants. The hotel is also conveniently close to the underground. The rooms are small but that's to be expected in London. My complaint about this hotel is the bathroom. We were told when we checked in that if we paid an extra 30 pounds (current exchange rate- 60) per night that we could have a "full shower." We had no idea what "full shower" meant but we were on a tight budget and couldn't afford an extra 60 per night. As it turns out, the shower we had in our room had only half a door. There was a bathtub with a shower but there was no shower curtain and only HALF a shower door which did not close. Water got all over the floor every time we showered and it was almost impossible to keep the heat in. But the worse thing about the bathroom was the bathroom door. It was a swinging door with no latch. The doorknob on the door was just a handle with no mechanism to keep the door closed; it would swing open with the lightest touch. Worst of all, this door was made entirely of frosted glass. Everytime I used the bathroom I felt completely exposed. I had to bolt the door to our room just so I wouldn't worry that the maid would walk in and see me. If you enjoy feeling like you are on display then this is the room for you but as for me, next time I travel I'll stay somewhere else.

Excellent location close to Oxford Street, clean and tidy professional staff, nice bar with a great selection of cocktails - bit pricey but expected. Nice sized rooms (it is London) well furnished. All in all an excellent stay.

Perfect choice for Central London. Hip hotel bar. Easy walk to Bond Street tube. Loads of shopping and Resaurants. Lively area. Soho is just a 12 minute walk...even in heels. Felt safe walking late at night just two girls. Can't wait to return!!

Excellent hotel in a perfect locationI have stayed in London many times, but this hotel was perfect for a romantic break. Two minute walk into James Street was a great place to eat, with a wide variety of bars and restaurants. The room was ideal and the staff were very attentive. The only problem was lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but I will definately be going again!

the hotel staff were very friendly and hotel location is excellent however the only thing which was not available a tea and coffee tray with water kittle in the room. Internet access was expensive. should be made available complementary for the expensive room rate.

The Hotel is situated on block from the Shopping Center - Oxford St. Down the street will find find many restaurants to choose from. Traveling via the Bus or train (tube) was very simple. About 15 minute walk to the main attractions, or as my girlfriend called it (London's Time Square). A short cab ride away from Soho (for night life) or Covent Garden (Street Entertainment). The Hotel was excellent for the price. It has a London home feel. The staff was extremely helpful. I would definitelly stay there again. P.S. Great bakeries up the block. :-)

Standard or SuperiorDon't be conned by the room ratings. The standard rooms are very small but the Hotel call them 'Superior' but they do not in fact have such a thing as a standard room. I also requested a twin bedded room one and a half months before my visit but apparently 'they had all gone!'It's a nice hotel in a good position for Oxford Street but their customer service needs polishing on the front desk.

The Mandeville exceeded all of my expectations. The location is perfect - situated very close to Bond Street tube station and the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street (shopping!), but nestled far enough back so that the area was quiet and easy to get around. St Christopher's Place was brilliant - great pubs, restaurants, brasseries, etc. I never wanted to leave that area. The people at the Mandeville were so friendly and always were helpful in finding you a taxi, directions somewhere, or just showing you to your room for the first time or where the bar is. I had a single room which wasn't very big but the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was modern and spotless. The bar is very nice and everyone I encountered was wonderful. I will stay there again.
