Stayed in this hotel in 2001. Had a good time. Now (2008)I am going back to have a good time again.

Best beach on the Island, white and not crowded. If you want to find a place to relax with personal attention you have to stay at Manchebo Beach Resort. The hotel is very clean, first class staff and well located with only 71 rooms. Once you stay there you will always go back!

Manchebo is quiet, perfect for couples, amazing beach, on which you can always find front row seats to the best show in town - the beach!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Manchebo Resort. Rooms are simple (although bathrooms are quite dated), clean, no frills, and steps from one of the finest beaches I've ever seen. During the first week of low season (April 16) we had no trouble finding a palapa and beach chairs. Resort is mellow and seems to attract older European tourists with a few younger couples and families sprinkled in. Food at the resort is quite good - our dinner at the French Steakhouse was a highlight. Their 5-course ambassador meal is a good value at around $35. Without a rental car, we walked to restaurants on Eagle Beach, as cab fares add up quickly. Next time, I will rent a car in order to visit the far-flung waterfront restaurants (e.g. Flying Fishbone, Old Man and the Sea) because cab fares from Eagle Beach would be expensive. Having said that, the public bus is efficient for daytime trips to town and stops very near the Manchebo Resort. Overall, this is not a luxury resort, esp. compared to the Bucuti next door (nearly double the price) but a wonderful choice if you want a no-frills room with a fantastic beach, good food, and a good value on Aruba.

Without a doubt, the best location in the hotel area. We stayed in the high rise area last year and gave it a second look this time. The Manchebo is the place to go! Huts were available all day at the Manchebo...unlike the high rise area where you had to get up at 6 am to reserve one. The beach is very quiet...no jet skis, power boats, loud music, etc. Very relaxing at Manchebo...will not go back to the high rise area. The staff is efficient, and friendly. The French Steakhouse is very good. The rooms are very clean but spartan. Suggest renting a car to see more of the island....but the bus is very cost effective. Manchebo has the best BEACH!!

Nice, quiet & restful hotel - best suited to people who don't have a need for itineries or non stop activities.

This two story recently renovated hotel is the epitome of less is more. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. The front desk staff is incredible. The beach can not be beat. It's a quick bus or cab ride to downtown or the high rise area. The value (in or off season) is great. No wonder our fellow guests were almost all return guests!

this resort is the best resort for a couple seeking a quite relaxing vacation. location is perfect on the best beach in aruba. it is close enough to other resturants and shopping and downtown. the room and the resturants are all very good, and the staff is very freindly and willing to help at all times. we stayed at this resort in 2008 also, and will more than likely stay again in 2010.

For the money, you cannot find a better hotel to stay at in Aruba. The rooms were recently renovated and met our expectations. The staff at the hotel was very courteous and accomodating. The hotel has the BEST BEACH in Aruba by far. The huts aren't crowded on top of one another, the area is very expansive and since the hotel is on the smaller side, this means more privacy and more of an enjoyable experience on the beach. The drinks and lunch from the Pega Beach bar were absolutely fabulous. We will never stay anywhere else in Aruba. It is simply the best for the price!!!

The hotel is tranquil and located on a gorgeous beach. The staff went out of their way to help us book different tours, make dinner reservations, call taxis and give general directions. Housekeeping was very friendly and kept the rooms in great condition. Never sand on the floor in the room!

This hotel is not luxurious, but it is nicely decorated and very clean. At all times of the day the staff is cleaning. Even after a few hours of rain we found our patio door cleaned inside and out - not one water spot! The staff is the best! I would stay there over and over again. You are not just a number - there is personal care. From everyone at the front desk in the restaurant to X and X at the bar you will have the best time. The food is so well prepared. Many X stay here which was a treat for my mother and I. We met some wonderful people and hope to keep in touch. The beach is beautiful. If I go back to Aruba I will stay at the Manchebo! The pool is small, but was going down for renovation in mid Sept 2008. I didn't care as the ocean was the best. I even brought my cap and goggles and went for a proper swim. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend & I had a wonderful time at the Machebo. It is right on the beach, perfect picture!!! Everyone was so nice and helpful. We are going back next year to Manchebo to get married. It is located in the Low Rise section of the Island, and it was perfect. It was our first time there, and we have made up our minds to go back every year that we are alive. Our trip was just that perfect!!!! The sunset was the most amazing thing we have ever seen!!! Just sit on the beach and watch it!!!!!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Manchebo Beach Resort. The location was picture-perfect right on the beach, the room was very clean, the staff were friendly and made us feel comfortable, and the quality of food at the restaurants were very good. On the day before we were supposed to leave, we enjoyed ourselves so much that we extended our stay - The front desk went out of their way to assist us with changing our reservations. We will definitely be back!

Use bus service, less expensive than the taxi. Manchebo Beach is very nice. Lots of chairs and huts. Try eating at the Wacky Wahui, Pizza Bob's directly behind Manchebo, and the Flying Fishbone (use a taxi to get there) Visit the bar every evening for Happy Hour. It's the best on the beach thanks to Iggy the bartender. This place is NOT the Waldord Astoria. The room was adequate...we spent most of the time on the beach so Perfect accomodations are not necessary. We had a great time. We met lots of nice people. We would return to this resort.

Only two drawbacks to our trip to Aruba. Not long enough, Although the bed was clean and roomy, it was too soft my my back. My wife had no issue with it however. The beach was as good as it gets. We looked around the island and think the beach at Manchebo is perhaps the best hotel beach. We did the all-inclusive meal program and would probably not repeat it. Not that the food at the resort wasn't good, but there are many other places we would like to try out. This facility is very well staffed. The workers have been there for many years and seem happy to be there. They were very respectful. I estimate the guests were equally mixed with Americans and Europeans. Again the rooms are clean, but not lavish. We contrast this with the RIU Palace which is a bizarre place. The lobby reeked of cigarette smoke. When we stopped there from the airport, no bellman received the visitors. They had to drag the bags up stairs and through a rotating door. We were well received at Manchebo and check in was a breeze. Rent a Car from Hector at Optima (soon to be Payless) Car rental. They are close by at La Cabana. We got a Toyota Yaris for $35/day. It was a big help getting around.

Stay in this hotel one night only. Left the hotel and moved to another one. Very dirty and bad rooms, was not able to swim. On the Manchebo beach you can enjoy the waves, but not possible to swim anytime.

XXX was great! I got put at the Machebo by Amsterdam Manor because they overbooked (horrible and wouldn?t recommend them). XXX was very understanding and accommodating of the situation. Our room was great we could literally walk out the door, onto a small patch of grass and be on the beach. The bed was comfortable and the room was a standard hotel room, it was clean and the air conditioner worked great. Everyone that worked there was more than willing to help with anything we needed whether it was a taxi or how to call America from my cell phone. The beach was gorgeous with more than enough huts along it. Dunkin Donuts was within walking distance which is always a plus! I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
