Location Description:
Cork - the cultural, festival, sporting, commercial, and shopping capital of the South. Historically a thriving mercantile centre, today it also boasts a busy airport, making it an ideal location for trade and tourism. The friendliness and warmth of the people is infectious as you move through the streets. Cork is a beautiful medieval city whose centre forms an island between two channels of the River Lee.
Dining:
Stir Restaurant in Cork offers light, modern cuisine using fresh ingredients. Our menus are created with plenty of healthy eating options and a range of seafood and vegetarian dishes. The atmosphere is casual and friendly and with Bells Bar across the foyer you don't even have to leave the building for a terrific night out.

The hotel has great employees they have great customer service skills. The breakfast and dinner in the hotel is delicious. If you go with kids, no kids in the pool area after 7:00pm kindy disappointind in that area only.

Maldron Hotel CorkThe staff particularly Donna on rception were extremly friendly and helpful. The room was simple and fins and suited our needs. The hotel is coviniently located near the city centre. When we arrived very early and couldn't check in, they were very friendly and helpfiul nad allowed us to leave our luggage whilst we explored Cork. I would reccomend the hotel highly.

This hotel is clean and modern, conveniently located across the river from shopping and restaurants. Staff could have been a bit friendlier, but otherwise very satisfactory

This was a terrible experience. This was the fourth hotel on my trip to Ireland and the most expensive. The details had said' Guest rooms offer luxury to the highest standard', they do not.The hotel lobby is very shabby, with a narrow entrance and a fish tank similar to a doctor's surgery circa 1970's. The first room I was given was on the fifth floor which was accessed by a lift with torn carpets and grubby walls. On entering my room I was unable to find a light and had to wedge my bag in the doorway whilst I entered into the dark room to try and find a light that worked. When I did manage to put a lamp on I saw a dirty shabby room. The lamps had metal flat base's that were filthy, the carpet was heavily stained. The windows were filthy and looked onto dirty window ledges. The bathroom was very dark and dated with cracked tiles and shoddy fittings. Everywhere was dirty and dusty. The room stank of cigar despite being a non smoking room. When I asked if I could have another room I was told the only other one available was on the 3rd floor and that they didn't have anything better. This was slightly better as it did not smell so bad but again was grotty. The radiator was splashed with what looked like blood, the bathroom had cracks around the tiles, stains around the bath, a toilet seat that didn't fit, hairs from previous occupants on the floor and in the bath and there were dirty marks all over the walls and ceiling in the main room. The kettle had black bits in it and stains on the side, the basic cups [ no saucers ] were dirty and had to be washed. The television was very old and the whole place was so dirty that it made me not want to touch anything, and so I found myself using tissue's to turn anything on or off.As it was so late, my colleague, who was also in a grotty room, and myself had no choice but to stay.We then asked about food and were told that only the bar was available. The bar was an absolute disgrace, every table was covered in plates, glasses etc.

Great place to stay, handy for city centre, friendly staff, lovely pool and sauna only bad thing was noise from people standing outside main entrance having a cigarette, sometimes at four in the morning!

As I was working in the area this seemed a nice hotel on the internet but i soon changed my mind. It was hard to find and when i got there the parking facilities were poor. The food in the bar was reheated and a bit rubbery for the price i paid for it. As i was staying on the top floor the water pressure was poor in sink and shower and finally as i paid 85euros for one night stay and found out you werent even getting breakfast. When you work away from home you need a breakfast before starting work. I wonder do the staff at the hotel go to work without eating breakfast

There was verry littal car parking space, and we had to park a long distance from the Hotel in what was not the best part of town!!!!!!

The hotel was okay, however one of the reasons for staying at the hotel was because it had leisure facilities. These were disgusting! The pool was filthy with dirt and grime covering the floor of the pool, with the changing facilities being of similar standard.

Parking an absoloute nightmare at this hotel staff not sympathetic to needs of guests.Breakfast buffet style food on cool side and obviously cooked some time earlier. rooms good size and free internet but rather dated feel.overall reasonable rate for what was provided but a let down on expectations.

Big drawback, the lack of parking. Also very offputting to see the state of the graveyard behind the hotel, with various youths coming and going, smashing it up and drawing on the various walls. WHAT A SHAME!!
