Immediately across the beach. Decent size rooms with some outdated elements but clean and friendly. Close to shopping, convenience stores and a great variety of food choices. The $10 resort fee blows but that's the SoBo story.

Location. Right on the strip. Room I stood in was very small, but cozy. A friend of mine paid the same price and got a larger room so it depends whats available at the time you check in. I'm in to electronics, so I was pleased to have a flat screen TV. Not all hotels are up with the times yet. I would stay here again.

Fantastic location with clean, tidy rooms and friendly staff.

Hardest bed I have ever slept in. Long hairs all over the bathroom (not mine, I'm bald). Hot water went off for a day. Great location but noisy. I would not stay again.

The front desk staff was cordial and pleasant. The room smelled great and just felt extremely clean which is quite the opposite feel of the lobby and the halls. The lobby is a bit gritty and the carpet through out had to be at least 20 years old. The front desk is a hole in the wall, literally. My room was on the first floor, NOT GOOD! There was a generator or something outside of the window that was too loud. The location is perfect for food, the beach and people watching.

Location and friendly accommodating staff! Lobby appeared to be in transition. Having stayed on Ocean Drive many times, I was pleasantly surprised with the Majestic. The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I stayed at the Majestic Hotel for thre nights over the President's Day weekend. I was a little leery of the hotel based on my own personal experience with another South Beach hotel (which I will not name). I arrived around midnight with my confirmation in hand because quite frankly I have been burned before. No need to have it as the hotel was expecting me and was quite understanding of me coming late. The employee at the front desk was polite and courteous. I will admit, my room did not look like the one pictured. Because of the location of the hotel (the corner of 7th Street and Ocean Drive), you are not going to look out your window and get that view. Other than that, the room was pretty much the same as the picture. There is a $7.50 per day "resort fee". While most hotels charge this and have nothing availble, the Majestic did have beach towels and chairs available for use. The hotel is right on Ocean Drive, so all you have to do is cross the street to get to the beach. On Collins Avenue (the street behind Ocean Drive), there are shops including A|X Armani Exchange, MAC Cosmetics, and True Religion jeans. Overall, the experience was great for me. I have stayed in many hotels, some good some bad, but I would return to the Majestic.

The hotel was in a great location. The room however were small, old, and located in the back of the hotel by an alley, so you could hear cars and trucks passing through the alley and people speaking loudly outside.

I could not believe how small my room was. Although I only slept there it was fine for that purpose. But the noise!! My God it was like a heard of elephants running through every night and at all hours!! Kept waking me up. it's the acoustics of the hotel, not much they can do about it. I will say that although the room was small, it was comfortable with a flat screen tv, comfy bed with a down comforter. and it was clean. the lobby and hallways seemed rundown. i think there should be more renovations, and make it more sound proof. i would consider staying there again but I would like to try other hotels first.

Rooms are very small and repainted over and over. No view at all. I have stayed at many other Ocean Drive Hotels and had much better. Rooms was clean I will say. Bit noisy. $25 a day parking no matter where you park.

We were only in Miami overnight for a funeral, so really only needed a close hotel to the church and this location was great. Room was clean and comfortable. Check-in was a little slow since the desk clerk was a stand in from a different hotel and wasn't sure about the process of valet parking...but all in all she was very helpful and we would definitely stay there again.

the front desk was so nice and friendly but the hotel was very on satistied. we went out alot to party but if it was for a relaxation vacation it would not be good. the room window was falling apart. the carpet was old and dirty. the elevator was horrible and the stair way was not too welcome. they were replacing a pipe and left dirt all over the walk way. this hotel is not my cup of tea.

I went to stay at majestic hotel and was excited it being on south beach but we were relocated to their sister property carlton hotel not on ocean drive. we still got the same rate, it was a decent hotel.

The Majestic Hotel is a nice place, with convenience to the beach right across the street. Although the room was a little smaller than expected, it was still enough to relax, unwind and have fun in. The best part was the access to the beach across the street, and all the restaurants along the strip. A recommendation for all.

the majestic was a good buy, me n husband went during july 4th weekend.that was only downfall it felt like spring break all over again,we are a little to old for that, but the hotel was clean except when you first walk into lobby it wasnt very clean and and it was messy.rooms were always clean which was great. the location couldnt get any better u are close to everything shopping, dining, night life.staff were always pleasant and always said hi. ps: try cuban restaurant right up the block alot of good food at good price!!!

We enjoyed the hotel, the only thing that we were a little upset about was that we asked for band-aids and they said it was for real emergencies only. We were a little annoyed about this and there was 3 people staying in the room and only 2 towels! We asked for more towels and it took more then a hr to get them to us! Otherwise the stay was very nice and comfortable.

The Majestic Hotel South Beach has a great location directly across from the beach. The rooms relatively clean and comfortable, but don't look for 5-star comfort. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Be prepared - due to the location there tends to be quite a bit of noise - both from the street outside and some of the guests who enjoyed all that Miami has to offer in the evenings. If you are a light sleeper you might want to bring ear plugs. The hotel is a very convenient walk to all of the restaurants and bars. The front porch of the hotel is great for relaxing with a bottle of wine and provides superb people watching opportunities. I would recommend this hotel and would gladly stay there again.
