Beautiful and unusual hotel, but needs to be careful that it's not trying to be "too cool". Room was lovely, view fantastic. Best restaurants are below hotel down the 282 steps-worth the climb but be prepared for the return journey! Have a cocktail before you go and when you return- it eases the pain! A great experience with good variety at breakfast and a reasonable distance from the centre of Sorrento.

This is a really fabulous hotel, and I can't wait to go back. Everything about it is wonderful: the location [the views!!), the staff, the decor, the attention to detail, the amazing breakfasts. I'm so glad we chose it for our special-occasion holiday in Sorrento!

The views over the Naples bay are absolutely unique. The hotel style is eclectic, very original. Comfortable not only in the rooms, but also in the living room and the terrace, unbelievable on a sunny day. Breakfast is fine. A remarkable experience.

The Hotel Maison La Minervetta is way beyond expectations. After spending a month trying to find the right destination and hotel to surprise my wife on her 40th birthday, I can only say how thankful I am that this hotel exists. My wife and I now have another lifetime memory to share. Forget about star ratings. The hotel and staff are truly in a class of their own. Being a designer & photographer and could quite happily spend my time taking pictures of this picture perfect hotel. Shhhh - Lets try and keep this place a well kept secret! Especially room 12. ;-) Also... If you're going to take a trip around the Amalfi coast, there's nothing more relaxing than booking your own private taxi. Well worth the money. If money is tight, I'd suggest sharing your pizza's and spend the money on a private taxi along the coast.

I cannot fault this wonderful hotel. Two uncool people were made very welcome at this very chic establishment.

This was one of the most unusual hotels we've ever been in, casual yet sophisticated. It was like staying in your best friends house, if they lived in an art gallery! We loved the eclectic mixture of ceramics, coral, paintings and religious artifacts. We woke up every morning with a view of Mt. Vesuvius in the distance and the harbor below us - but without the noise. We walked into town, walked down to the harbor at night for dinner (easily over 100 steps), Mornings started with a fabulous array of foods presented in the kitchen and evenings ended with a drink on the terrace after our nightly gelati in town! The staff is warm, friendly and professional. We would definately come back and highly recommend this property to anyone traveling to Sorrento looking for a hotel that appeals to all senses.

two nights in an enchanting and beautifully decorated room overlooking the little harbour, the sorrento gulf and city... amazing! have been talking to friends about it being possibly the best hotel we have ever been to!! Staff is lovely and welcoming. The only instructive comment I may give is to avoid changing the towels... and increase the heating a little! Honestly, a great place to stay, in any occasion.

This is a great small boutique hotel, more like a personal villa, it only has 12 rooms. Our room had an unbelievable and breathtaking view over the Gulf of Naples and Vesuvius. The rooms are decorated with colour and flair and even the corridors are propped with interesting objets d'art. The hotel owner and staff that make if feel like home. The buffet breakfast was extensive with local cheeses, salami and fruit and piles of cakes and pastries and delicious coffee. If your are going to Sorrento and would like a great experience go to Maison La Minervetta.

Beautifully decorated and situated hotel. Each room has a picture-perfect view of Vesuvius and the Sorrento Bay. A 10-minute walk from the center of Sorrento and right above an excellent seafood restaurant. Very pleased with the staff and service. Will definitely return to La Minervetta and recommend to all fellow Italian travelers.

This was the best experience we have ever had at a hotel - much more like being welcomed into someone's home (which is exactly what La Minervetta is!) Marco and Eugenia de Luca and their staff were fabulous! The view from the patio and each of the guest rooms overlooks the harbour, the beach and village below, and all the way over to Naples. The colors and layout of the Maison makes it such a beautiful place to relax and enjoy yourself. Grazie, Marco and Eugenia!
