Maipez Hotel Las Palmas

The Maipez Rural Hotel is situated in La Calzada, in the north of Gran Canaria, at only 10 minutes from the capital and 15 minutes from the airport, it is the ideal place to rest and enjoy what natures got to offer us.The hotel is an old canarian country house built at the beginning of the past century. It is watched by a 200 year old laurel tree which has been restored taking care of each detail. There are eight double rooms and one of them with a terrace, two suites, a living room, a dining room, a restaurant and a terrace.Every room is named after a canarian town, all are provided with a shower, WC, TV, telephone, heating and above all excellent views, being each one unique and original. The decoration has been cared for in depth so that the customer can feel comfortable and at home, always maintaining the rural flavour for those who wish to enjoy peace and quietness in the middle of nature itself.It is ideal for disconnecting from everything and everyone and a time for resting from the busy world in which we live. Silence, nature and warm atmosphere will be guaranteed during your stay.The outside restaurant offers the possibility of catering groups, visitors, family reunions or business meetings, where you can taste our delicious meals whilst watching nature.Right beside the hotel we can find La Calzada Club. It counts on 3 clay tennis courts and 18 padel courts. Our guests are able to use these facilities for a reduced price.

To arrive to the hotel from the airport you have to take the highway GC-1 towards Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, in the north. Drive for about 18km until you enter the city. In the right hand side youll find a desviation to Tafira in the GC-3, just the next entrance after the hospital. Take it and you will enter a tunnel that will take you to Secadero. Take that desviation on the right and keep on driving without diverting for another 5 minutes. Then you will see another desviation on the right which will take you to La Calzada (GC-310). Go downwards for 1km and then take the first on the left, entering La Calzada (GC-320). You will arrive to the hotel 500m upwards, after the narrowing of the road. Total: 28km, 20-25 minutesFrom the Bus Station in Las Palmas: take bus 302; it stops right in the entrance of the hotel.
