I didnt realize when I booked the room that I was getting an "apartment sized" place. I had a kitchenette with stove and refrigerator in one room and my bed room was in the other room. This was such a deal, I cant wait to use this hotel when I come back for my week long trips. The staff was outstanding. They made me feel special. The free breakfast bar was also a nice touch.

Since I had a good experience at another MainStay I thought it would be a logical choice and I was not disappointed. The staff was very friendly, good sized clean rooms, good breakfast spread and a quiet location with plenty of surrounding restaurants.

The one employee we had contact with was accommodating. The room was small and was not serviced by housekeeping unless requested. The room was not what we expected; it was musty smelling; very small and old; we attended a football game and upon arrival back in the room found that it had not been touched by housekeeping. When we called down to inquire we were told you must request housekeeping to service the room. We were asked to look for a magnet on the refrigerator that explained that. We should have been told upon check in what the policy was. Guests should not be expected to search the room for hotel policy. We were given clean towels as requested; however the tags from the manufacture were still attached; therefore they had not been washed before use. We will not use the Mainstay brand again.

The Mainstay Suites in Alcoa,Tn was located in a great place. It was easy to drive into Maryville, Knoxville, and the surrounding area. There are two nice restaurants located within walking distance. The rooms were very comfortable and it was nice to have a separate bedroom which you could close off. This made it feel more like home and you had plenty of sitting room for visitors. We will definately stay there again.

The staff was very friendly, helpful and really went out of their way for me. The rooms were nothing special and the wireless internet was really flaky. Since the internet is a requirement for me to do work that didn't please me much. The tv was also in very poor condition and the speakers were almost blow in it and spots of green would just show up. Other then that a good hotel.
