A very nice weekendWe stayed for a weekend and bussines an monday and we enjoyed our stay. The stuf in the hotel bar can make more bussines when they do a little more service.

Easy short walk from train station and walking distance to city center!

The rooms are spacious, comfortable and the separate shower is very civilised.I marked the room down because the a/c was ferocious & was either on or off.Breakfast was very disappointing. I queued for nearly 5 mins for a table & outside of a cooked breakfast there was no real choices. The toast when it came was cold & not toasted. I complained about the breakfast queue to reception and was ignored.Check in was very efficient.

Reception staff were very welcoming, and informative. The room was luxurious, with excellent views across Manchester and the surrounding areas.

Very helpful staff - the only fault was a leaflet on the desk filled in by the previous guest about her stay which was a WEEK old.

Amazing value for money. Bathroom was spotlessly clean, huge double bath and huge double shower. Good news for ladies. Very close to train station, would definately stay in a macdonald hotel again

Great quality and excellent roomThis is my first stay in the Macdonald Manchester although a regular in Manchester hotels generally. This hotel is up there with my real favourites and is one of the friendliest hotels I have stayed in. Everything was top notch and only the fact that it is very slightly off the beaten track (although only 5 minutes from Manchester Piccadilly station, and the trams) detracts from the fantastic hotel. Breakfast was extra but at a special price of £10 and worth every penny.Keep it up Macdonald Manchester. You are doing a superb job.

Excellent hotel, very friendly, helpful staff.Hotel is ideally situated for access to Piccadilly Station and the shopping centre of Manchester.Only criticism was having to queue to get into the restaurant for breakfast on Sunday morning, other than that no other complaints!

Great room for a weekend stay in ManchesterThe room was really great - really spacious and very comfortable and the bathroom was really big and spotless. The location of the hotel is excellent if like us you were travelling by train, and close enough to walk into the centre as well as a cheap cab ride back late at night.

Eat before getting back to the hotelGood location, fantastic room, great express check in facility. The sink and shower in the bathroom were designed with very small people in mind but everything else was perfect. However, room service will cost you £5 per head BEFORE you order anything from the menu and the 24hr menu isn't that hot. Don't ask for assistance in ordering food to be delivered from outside as they won't help you with this. Also, don't ask for directions to a nearby eatery as they will point you to the train station - disappointing customer service for a chain that we used to visit regularly.

Mangificent ManchesterGreat hotel but lacking real character. Great value if you pay a discounted rate as it is not worth the rate card! Definitely stay there again.

Excellent HotelFrom our arrival to checkout the hotel staff, front desk to housekeeping, were friendly and professional. I have already recommended the hotel to my company and will definitely be staying there again in the near future. If you're thinking of staying in an Ibis or a Travel Inn, think again; The Macdonald Manchester is infinitely better for pretty much the same cash, and there are some excellent summer deals on the go too at the moment.

Macdonald stayWe have stayed in many hotels, ins and lodgesin and around Manchester over the past 3 years.Nothing can compare with the cleanliness, hospitality and sheer luxury of the Macdonald. It made our stay, of which is usually stressful, relaxing and enjoyable. We will definately be back.Thankyou

Perfect stay for centre of manchesterI was really happy with the hotel- the quality of the room was perfect- everything brand new and certainly 4* quality with very good sized rooms. I used the iron and it blew a fuse in the room, and within 5 minutes the problem was fixed and someone came to room with a new iron... very very good customer service. Only slight disappointment was the spa- no swimming pool or jacuzzi - only a thermal suite.

Great Hotel Shame about (some of) the staffCheck in followed standard list of questions but failed to act on the responses from not authorising charge account for partner to not delivering newspapers but still charging for them at checkout. Second experience of similar prejudice here. I won't return.
