Overview:
The ME Hotel Cancun is superbly located between the ocean and a lagoon, offering romantic breathtaking views of waves, sand, and sunsets. The hotel is also close to everything, including designer shops, gourmet dining, and water sports. Visit the ancient ruins of Chichen Itza for a change of pace.
The Cancun airport is about 20 minutes away. Rental cars are available at the front desk. Buses can also take guests to outlying areas.
The ME Hotel Cancun has not overlooked one detail in designing and equipping the 448 guestrooms. Standard in each room are minibars, iPod connections, satellite LCD TV, DVD players, and spacious bathrooms with original art.
The hotel is a luxurious private resort that originally opened in 1990 and underwent extensive upgrades in 2000. It is hosting this year's MTV reality show, Real World, which showcases its incredibly decadent 10,000 sq. ft. two story suite, making the ME Hotel Cancun one of the hottest spots in Cancun. Multiple onsite restaurants, bars, lounges and fully equipped health club and spa are offered. With amenities too numerous to mention, guests who expect the best will not be disappointed.

The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Noe at the American Express Travel desk was invaluable as we booked excursions and he answered our questions daily. We had a luxury ocean view so we could have 2 double beds. The room was very comfortable. Our favorite by far was the rain shower. Perfect after a day of sweating off sunscreen. The Beach House restaurant was only open until 6pm and we did not try the other restaurants due to a dress code. The morning buffet is excellent. The spa is small but the staff was very professional.

Great vibe, trendy furnishings, cool music and genuine staff. Not much beach front space, but expected that after the hurricane. Beautiful hotel, with a great vibe. The lobby was beautiful, as well as the bar, restaurants and carried the same feeling into the room which was beautifully furnished and even greeted us with fun music playing on the CD player.

Hotel had way surpassed my expection which was pretty high as I went over the pictures and reviews before my trip. I think the pictures shown in the website were taken before the renovation because they actually looked a lot better when I was there. Staff were pretty nice. We felt welcomed as they offered us glasses of wines while we were checking in. We got to have the ocean view room because they were out of the lagoon which was part of the package. The view was breathtaking! Love the pool. Love the room and the shower room. . Only two things that werent as perfect were that it took us long time to look for the pay phone to make phone calls back to the US as it was located in a "not so obvious" corner with not so clear direction from the staffs and the LCD TV wasnt working right as it took us a while to turn it on and get sound. But overall, the hotel was the most amazing one I've ever been to.

The pools were really nice, especially the swim up bar. It is nice and clean and has a very comfortable setting. The rose bar was also a great place to socialize. There was even a computer room for me to use the internet for free. It is also close to nightlife and a mall near by which is actually walking distance. I would definite go back and yes i do recommend others to visit this hotel. You would have no regrets.

First stay in Cancun for our anniversary. Our favorite US destination is SOBE, a the hotel has the chic SOBE boutique look and feel. Interior is typically dimly lit for the chic effect. Pool area is awesome, but wake up early to stake out a spot, or you may not find a spot. Pool service was attentive with plenty of staff. The room was beautiful with lots of marble and dark woods. The bed was very comfortable, and housekeeping did a great job (don't forget to tip them!) Spa was great and price typical of a 4 star hotel. Free internet in the internet cafe was a plus as the free wireless would hae been if we had brought the computer. Only donwside was having to wait to use a computer because too many teenagers chatting online. Free parking was a plus. Due to weather, missed out on the Fri-Sun nightlife, but the rest of the week was dead in the hotel compared to how the website tries to promote. Mostly younger couples and no loud convention groups, which was all good. Will stay there again and intend on visiting the ME in Cabo soon.

I was like a fish out of water it was way too hoity toity for me I wouldn't go back and the American Express Travel Agent that works out of the hotel which I was recommended to deal with by the hotel concierge ruined my trip and left me wanting to do other things that he had ruined the chance to do for me.

Very attractive furnishings throughout - very urban and artsy. Could not control the room temperature (got cold at night); room safe didn't work properly; noisy at night. Very attractive urban atmosphere with very nice grounds/pools. It is located a short walk on either side to shopping centers and you can catch the bus across the street. The only negatives were that we could not control our room temperature and it got cold at night, the room safe didn't work properly, and it was a little noisy at night in the room we had (was on the traffic side, not the beach side)

This place had a south beach, FL feel. We arrived on Friday night 3/28/08 and took our showers, went out for a bit and came back about 2-3 am to find that our water had stopped running on us, so we couldn't brush our teeth or wash our face. The light switch was a challenge and we had to call someone to get the lights for us. We informed concierge the next day who upgraded us to a room with an ocean view and that really made up for it. Our last night there we went to Salt and Silk (you can sit on one side of the restaurant and order from another restaurant's menu) and the only thing my friend and I had different was the hot sauce that came in a little round dish. I came back to the states with Montezuma's revenge, it was bad, I was deliruious at the Houston airport in/out of sleep from immodium. Aside from everything else the pool was spectacular, the men were gorgeous! The time shares...whew is another story! We sat 2-3 hrs to receive a 25 min facial, 50 min massage ans a 15% discount to all the bars and restaurant the hotel had to offer. I just wish everyone of the staff knew about the dsicounts being offered.

When my husband and I booked this trip we were under the impression that Me by Melia was all inclusive. We researched this hotel on Orbitz from several different computers for days before we booked the trip. Each time we pulled the resort up and checked the box to pull up the all inclusive hotels this one came up. Once we arrived in Mexico and checked in they looked at us like we were crazy when we told them we had booked an all inclusive room. We tried over and over to reach Orbitz to switch hotels with no success. I will never again book another vacation through Orbitz!!!!

The hotel exceded my expectations which are usually too high. The room was great, bathroom!!! views, etc... I was first disappointed that my room didn't have a balcony but the windows opened wide and not having a balcony actually provided for a better view. the service was great, everybody smiled and were very accomodating. I have no complaints whatsoever...and i never say that!!! Wow, i better go back :)

Beautiful hotel. Was treated like royalty from the moment we set our bags down. Greeted with champagne on check-in. Perhaps a lot to do with tourism in Mexico being in the tank right now but we didn't mind the treatment. Everyone falling over themselves to be nice and provide good service. Lots of quality little touches everywhere, like the custom lounge mix CD in our room stereo. Whole places has a slick, sexy, contemporary "metro" feel to it. Wasn't very crowded, no problems finding places to sit at the pool or getting a table to eat. All the restaurants are exquisite. Great ocean access although the tall resort blocks the sun and puts you in shadow earlier in the afternoon than the shorter ones. Resort bar/club was nice but not very popular while we were there, so we went out elsewhere. Used the spa for massage and that too was an amazing experience. Every aspect over the top and wonderful. Felt like we should've been charged twice as much. Only complaint would be a couple evenings where rowdy guests were loud in the halls late at night, apparently because they thought no one else was staying there. Not the hotel's fault though and it was brief each time. Also, the extra charge for the covered beds you see in photos was a bummer, but the ones with umbrellas were free as long as you could find an open one (we always could). All beds around the adult-only pool cost money but we rarely went there since there were so few people staying, we just used the main big pool and the ocean. My entree came a lot later than my girlfriend's at one meal but the manager was extremely nice, apologetic and compensated us. Only got fancy evening maid service the first few nights... maybe we weren't tipping enough? We're sort of new to this level of resort. Regardless, you'll wish you stayed twice as long or more. Can't imagine a better resort for the price, if staying in the hotel zone is your thing.

The comfort and the friendliness of the hotel. Don't have anything I disliked. My spouse and I agree that this is the best hotel we have ever had.

Second time in CUN. Hotel has very Euro/Modern decor, look. Pool area is outstanding, also great service at pool. Room very nice and modern. Not much action at interior lounge, seems like most go elsewhere. Not many kids there (good), mostly younger couples, no loud convention groups - all for the good. Would stay there again. 4 1/2 stars

First impressions were great but things fell apart soon after. The hotel grounds are beautiful but nothing can make up for the horribly rude staff. To be specific, [...], the vacation consierge tracked us down in the middle of the hotel lobby to chastize us for not wanting to spend the little time we had in Cancun listening to their sales pitch. We were appalled by the way we were treated. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel? Please! How about having paid for breakfast along with our stay but not being able to have it brought to our room without paying for it again?!!! A service charge is reasonable but to pay for the whole thing plus charge? Come on!And if I get called "hey lady" one more time...

Super clean hotel, location within dist of malls and rest. Hand over heart and bow greeting staff used little weird. Hotel is very art deco/south Beach Miami-ish. Extensive use of granite and marble with uplighting, candles throughout the common areas, aromatic air fresheners, super attentive staff and great location. Can walk 10-30 minutes to malls, dozens of restaurants, never had to take a taxi! Highly recommended!
