My husband and I just wanted a weekend away and this was the perfect hotel for us.
Date of Stay:
April, 2008
The beds and bedding were the most comfortable that I had ever slept in. The occupants above us did not quit walking and moving until 4:30 AM. The hotel staff was friendly. Our rooms were very clean. The beds were so comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The children enjoyed the swimming pool. We plan on staying there any time we travel to Abilene, TX.

i travel alot and i have never seen such awful service. i honestly don't know how they keep the doors open. maybe it is ok if you just need a place to crash out. i could not belive after 2 nights of sleeplessness they had the NERVE to serve me breakfast on dirty dishes-- THE LIPSTICK WAS STILL ON THE GLASS!!! after bringing this to the managements attention they acted like i was the one demanding too much of them-- i should have done my research before i wasted my time and money. pool was very dirty too, i had to explain to my kids why they couldn't go swimming on vacation. abilene has alot of GREAT places to stay for WAY cheaper! i would NEVER go back!!!!!

This hotel was a great place to stay! The breakfast was great for a free hotel breakfast. The staff was friendly and when we needed towels in the pool, they were brought right away. We would stay there again.

Fabulous cooked to order breakfast. Wonderful heated pool and hot tub. Beautiful atrium/breakfast area. The beds were the most comfortable beds we've slept in! The pillows were beyond belief soft!
Date of Stay:

The hotel was clean, close to the mall and restaurants. Only had a smoking suite available, so room smelled. But that was all they had. Hotel is older, but clean. Some repairs were needed in our room and could use some updating. Very spacious suite with two TV's, one for the kids and one for us. The beds were very comfortable more so than most hotels. I did not get to eat at the breakfast buffet, but my family said it was very good. Easy access to Interstate 20. I gave it a 4 star rating over all, 3 stars for room repairs and smoke smell and 5 stars for effort, breakfast, staff, and location.

Our family had a reunion here...approximately 50 plus people stayed. Rooms were reserved months in advance...we were displaced by another group and scattered around the hotel at the last minute. Rude remarks were made to people as they checked in, due to complaints we made about being displaced. Last year, one family didn't have a room at all and had to go to another hotel. On a previous visit, plates were left outside rooms on trays so long, that when they were washed, the food stuck, and these were used to serve breakfast. People in line were coming back in disgust and asking for clean plates and silverware. Management couldn't care any less if you have a problem. Our family will never stay here again, after three or four attempts of trying to make it work with this very poorly run hotel. It is one of the only hotels in town with a meeting room, so that is the ONLY reason we had continued to stay here.

The hotel is clean and kept up. It's older and a little out dated. The staff at the fron desk were not very friendly. It was very nosiy all night long. You could constantly hear people and slamming doors. The rooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable. I requested a king bed weeks in advanced and was given double beds with no notice. The breakfast in the morning was great. It's not worth the price.

The staffs at the restaurant did an excellent job. They we're so nice and the food is delicious. We all ate chicken fried steaks.Hmm yummy!!The room is clean and bed is very comfortable.

I like the suite concept of the rooms. I wanted to get a king size bed. The bathroom was not as clean as it could have been. Great location. Close to malls, restaurants, movies and highway. Large hotel with a large conference occurring Free breakfast was worth the inconvenience of the need for greater attending to housekeeping.

Large clean room, friendly staff & good service.

Spacious suites. It is getting older. Former Embassy Suites - in the generic business district of Abilene, mall, strip malls, etc. Not too far from downtown. Horrible breakfast, but I am pretty particular about the breakfast. I was there on a Saturday night and I did not see much going on.

Very nice place. Even the homeless people asking for money in parking lot was on a bicycle was polite. There is a giant stone tablet in the atrium with the 10 Commandments. One the other side I thought there was another 10 but it was the same 10 again. The decor is 1970's from the pop culture light bulbs in the bathroom to the dark wood colors all around. Good free hot breakfast and friendly staff made the stay a nostelgic 70's plesant one when people were friendly and prices cheap.

The bed, linens, etc. were wonderful. There was nothing we didn't like about hotel. Hotel appeared to be a former Embassy Suite, which we have stayed in before. The hotel was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Very convenient to many reataurants and shopping. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Complimentary breakfast eash morning was also very good. We highly recommend this location and would stay there again.

"My family and I surprised our parents with a long weekend trip here for their 50th Wedding Anniversary. We rented 4 rooms, which are nice and clean suites - use to be an Embassy Suites. The atmosphere is southwestern - almost Santa Fe. Full service evening reception & cooked to order breakfast was a hit with all. Indoor pool, hot tub & suana were nice. Large open area for conventions (or for the kids to play in). Pool tables & video games, too. Located close to shopping & restaurants. All around best deal in Abilene."
