Had a mixup with the rooms, none of our group was really together and there were alot of us staying. It wasn't easy to find employees, seemed there were never any around. Location was excellent for the reason we went but not if you want to walk the strip. There are many clubs in the hotel, but the drinks are way too expensive there. It seemed to be quite clean. Very cool theme to the hotel. Mixed feelings about my stay, not horrible but I have had better stays.

The best position on the strip in my opinion. You can walk down the strip and not miss anything. Close to the airport. Check in was slow and very busy. The light on top of the casino came in handy when trying to find your way home after a big night out. The Hoover dam near Boulder City was in easy reach and really amazing and worth a look.

The hotels staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was allways clean and the style fit the egyptian theme. The facilities were good there were nice restaurants and the hotel also held shows. The location was OK but it was at the end of the strip meaning we had to catch a taxi to most resorts. The pricing was good for stay and eating.

Luxor Hotel Casino is an amazing place... To get there just follow the Sky beam, is the strongest in the world, even if you are not from our space you can see it.

the rooms were actually really nice and clean. and so were the bathrooms. what i didnt like is that we reserved a room in the pyramid 5 months before going so that we could experiece it. instead they stuck us in a tower room, which was nice, but not what we wanted or reserved. it gave us the option and they didnt follow through. the pool is ok but small. any big weekend like ours, the pool is to crowded and is standing room only. it feels like your stuffed in a night club, shoulder to shoulder. they also didnt give us our $25 food credit for going through ORBITS even when we asked, which is a rip. your going to need it when drinks are so dang expensive. there are also nightclub after nightclub, in every corner of the casino. so many that the casino is over run by a bunch of preppy, collor popping and overdressed 21 year olds to even move around or park at the Luxor. If you dont have your car parked by 6pm, good luck. The valet is filled and all the parking garages are over filled. we were a guest of the casino and had to park over at the Excaliber because of the clubbers. And if your into that kinda thing, bring lots of $ because those clubs are not cheap. dont go on a weekend if you want to enjoy the Luxor. Maybe Sunday-Thursday would be great! overall it was fun, but we had to have it at other casinos. to crowded at our own.

We were in the pyramid which is their older rooms. There were 3 rooms in our party of 6 and 2 of the rooms air conditioning was very poor. The bathroom floor was dirty in one of the bathrooms, a toilet paper holder was broken in one of the bathrooms. There was lipstick on one of the glasses in a bathroom. We had the all inclusive pkg over the internet which supposedly included a VIP check-in at VIP lounge. Did not happen. Checkin was slow. The More Buffet was good and service in the buffet was excellent. All of the employees, such as, waitresses, bartenders, players club, ticket sales, etc were all very cordial and tried to please. We thoroughly enjoyed the Titanic and Bodies Exhibits.

Nothing. Everything. Dirty, worn, long line to check-in, moldy bathroom, old and out-dated rooms, sun-drenched, boring pool - I've seen city pools with more class.

too smoky as soon as you enter. Luxor should improves it's ventilation for the smoking floor or ground casino floor.

I booked my room at Luxor based on access to entertainment and transportation, not realizing that these things had changed greatly since my last visit to Las Vegas. No longer does the Luxor have Imax attractions, having been replaced by "The Body" and "Titanic" exhibits (which both had previous runs at another Vegas hotel.) Also the tram between Excalibur and Mandalay Bay apparently no longer stops at Luxor. While the employees seemed to be doing their best, my room wasn't immediately ready (even though I arrived at about 8 PM,) and the room I received had an odd smell. Luxor's headline show, "Believe" with Criss Angel, was a major disappointment. Criss and Cirque don't mix. On the positive side, the restaurants I visited in the hotel were all good. The bell staff was trustworthy and quick. I can't recommend the Luxor because bad management decisions have moved this hotel in the wrong direction.

The Luxor is experiencing upgrades which was of no inconvinience to me. I was offered an upgrade to the tower for extra money but I chose to stay in the pyramid. The room was nice and the air worked fine. All of the staff members I came in contact with were couteous and professional. The pool is a nice area to relax and have some fun. I would stay at the Luxor again.

Ive been to most of the hotels on the strip, and I will never stay at the Luxor again. Our room smelled and the AC was not working. NV in July is really hot and the room was an inferno. I called multiple times to get it fixed and it never happened. It was really noisy too.

unusual design. Needs a makeover.

A good hotel though located at one end of the strip. Room clean however could hear noise from joining rooms, at times. The only complaint would be the constant harrassment of the staff trying to pass off free vouchers but to get them you have to sit through a timeshare presentation. We chose to pay full prise rather than waist our time and highpressure sales people

First things first, AVOID ANYONE IN THE LOBBY IN A BLACK SUIT WITH A NAMETAG! They're trying to sell you discounted tickets to shows but there's a catch: you need to sit through a 2-hour timeshare presentation in order to get the deal... We stayed in a Tower Premier Suite - which we highly recommend. The rooms are ENORMOUS (probably around 1,200 sq. ft.) and well laid out for your comfort. We felt like queens! Our only complaint was that the master bathroom has no doors for bathing privacy. While this is probably not a problem for a couple staying in the room, my mother and I shared the room so when one of us wanted to bathe, the entire bedroom and bathroom was off limits as the only doors to close for privacy were the bedroom doors. Otherwise, the room was gorgeous and well worth the money. There was so much to do at the Luxor and it was very convenient to have connections to both Mandalay Bay and Excalibur - it's so all-inclusive that you almost don't have to leave there's so much to do! Luxor's "More" buffet was good, but we preferred Excalibur's "Roundtable" for the price, the selection and the quality. We did go to More at the end of the day, so it's possible we just had the last food for the evening...FYI: Excalibur's all-day buffet deal is $13 cheaper than Luxor's all-day buffet deal. We didn't go to any shows, so we can't comment on those, but from the line-up, there's a good selection of shows to see - next time!

The concept was a cool, the whole King Tut thing. They were doing construction in the hotel. Bright and Early 7AM you were woke up by the noise. The carpets were nasty. The rooms smelled of smoke and we asked for a non smoking room. The A/C wasn't working and it was hot in the room My sister and I stayed one night and left. We went to the MGM Signature where it was much nicer and the A/C worked. Stayed in the penthouse and it was less than the rooms at the Luxor. If I ever go back to Las Vegas that's where I will be staying. Deffenatly do your homework before you stay at the Luxor there are other hotels that are nice for the same price.

The hotel itself is very poorly arranged. We spent most of the time walking to try and find which elevator would take us to our room, since each elevator only goes to certain floors. ALOT of walking. We even stayed in the pyramid itself. Not only were our sheets torn in two places, but our towels were discolored and/or stained. Our 'drinking' cups had white crusty powder at the bottom. To make matters worse, I discovered a bed bug crawling on one of the pillows. They quarantined our room, we had to leave our luggage and clothing in the room until they had it checked out, they moved us to another room in the meantime. The hotel manager nor securiy was able to answer our questions on why we were not given any options when the next day they informed us our luggage would be destroyed because ONE bed bug was found. It was a very unprofessional and impolite experience with the staff there, we felt as if we were being punished for something that was not our fault. So all of our brand new clothes and new luggage were destroyed and we are still waiting to be reimbursed. Worst Travel Experience Ever.

A major portion of the atrium level is under construction/refurbishment. When we arrived we noticed the rooms were a bit on the ratty side. Worn furniture and dirty carpets were the first sign of a second rate hotel. I called to complain and the hotel apologized and offered me a food credit. We also found out that the hotel will undergo a major overhaul beginning in 2009. Nonetheless the stay was enjoyable. We didn't gamble but the casino is quite big and there are all sorts of games to play. The sportsbook was being remodeled. FOOD: the foodcourt in the atrium level was quite adequate with a McDonald's a Nathan's hotdogs (which also served breakfast), a Quizno's, Starbucks, and a Swensen's Ice cream shop. Food was on the pricy side but you can't expect more from vegas. The buffet was horrible. We arrived at 9:45 and they were already picking up food. When we enterted half the salad bar was gone. At the carving station, I had to ask for 2 pieces of prime rib since the first one was sliced about 1/8" thick. We felt ripped off. Excalibur has Sherwood which has a M-Thurs. special of Steak for * POOL: The pool layout was nice. If you want to go sun worshipping I suggest you find a chaise early since they go quickly. The most coveted spots are those against the hedge. LOCATION: This hotel has access to Mandalay Bay and Excalibur via indoor cooridors. You can continue through Excalibur to New York, New York hotel and take tyhe catwalk to the MGM Grand where the monorail station is located at. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the monorail station.
