Great Value for MoneyIf you just need simple bed and breakfast within a stones throw of the city centre then this is the place for you. Extreamly good value for money. Rooms and food are quite acceptable for an overnight stay. Going back next week. Great.

The Gem of ManchesterThe place is impeccable as usual. Clean and tidy throughout, beautiful little courtyard, good continental breakfast, staffs with smile on their face - what else can you ask for. Some of the 4/5 star hotels didn't even provide all these!!

Room was very spacious and a shower room toilet was massive very ideal for disabled or wheel chair bound persons, ideal hotel if you are into religious studies or theology as they have a library which is abundant in this literature as this hotel is for theologians and has a conference centre for such likes this is ideal, definitely not the place to party, there is a bar which was not used by us so we cannot comment on it, breakfast is the continental variety so dont expect a full english. The bed we felt was a little uncomfortable upon waking, if you got to sleep, caused back ache.

Will go againThis is the second time we've stayed at this accommodation. It's linked to the University so it feels more like good accommodation for mature students than a hotel. We liked it because it's quiet and comfortable and not way over the top in price. There's a good continental breakfast and cup of coffee which is all you need to set you up for the day. Also it is very central to university heartland. Best of all it is 10 mins walk to the Curry Mile. Don't try driving there as it will take you longer to find parking!!

Nice hotel, very friendly staff...I stayed for two nights between my graduation and flying from Manchester.I found the accomodation good, everything was nice and clean and the staff were very helpful. I also had a breakfast included and at £25 b & b i couldn't fault it!

Good for visiting Manchester studentsI have stayed in the area several times in the last 4 years and this hotel is the best i have stayed in. I will most definitely stay here in the future. I have already suggested this hotel to several friends. If your son/daughter is studying at Manchester Uni this is the ideal place to stay for a visit.

A hidden gemFor £25 a night I didn't expect much, but this turned out to be a mistake.. I'd found my new favourite hotel. The room was excellent, and the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast included and of a good standard. Evening meals were very reasonably priced. Free internet access included but the wireless range doesn't quite reach the rooms.

great value for moneynice basic hotel, lovely and quiet. I couldnt rate the evening meal as the dining room was booked out for a wedding, but the breakfast was adequate for my needs. The main drawback was that as it was during extremely hot weather, there is no air conditioning and the window wouldnt open more than a few inches. Apart from that, considering I had 2 nights for only £50 it was extremely good value.

Good value for money close to central ManchesterThis is clean, reasonably priced accommodation. Obviously the rooms are student-style, so don't expect room service and the chicness (?) of a five-star impersonal chain. There is secure parking on site, good food, a small bar. We had an en-suite room; it would be cramped for a long stay, but for two nights or a weekend would be very acceptable. There is a good bus service to the centre of Manchester, and Curry Mile in Rusholme is ten minutes away.

what a find! a lovely place 10 mins outside manchester city centre at an unbelievable price, including continental breakfast. the receptionist on arrival was polite, efficient and very helpful. the room was compact but was fine for a single person on a one night stay ( i was in manchester for a gig, kraftwerk at the velodrome...awesome!) and was very clean & tidy. nice comfy bed with fantastic pillows and plenty of refreshments and shower gel, shampoo & soap. good breakfast with just one quibble. as a diabetic at least one option of a sugar free cereal would have been nice, but having said that i certainly didn't go hungry. so, if you are looking for luxury, this wouldn't be for you, but for a nice, comfy place to get your head down for a night or two in manchester, i would reccomend it to anyone.

A Haven of Peace Near the Centre of ThingsI needed somewhere to stay the night before a funeral and just wanted something cheap and cheerful. The Laterooms price seemed too good to be true but I took a chance on it. In the event I found a haven of peace and quiet in University Land, 5 minutes walk from Manchester's famous \"Curry Mile\". Luther King House is a Baptist College but they don't need the accommodation part any more, so it's been turned into a hotel. It's built around a beautiful, peaceful garden. There were tables and chairs on the grass, but if it rains you can sit in the covered cloister and still enjoy the garden. My room was small and basic but comfortable. I arrived in the middle of a heatwave and found that the window was too small for adequate ventilation but at any other time I cannot see it being a problem. Other than that my only complaint was a shower with a mind of its own.I got the impression that the whole place had just been decorated and everything appeared spotless.Don't let the Baptist bit put you off - it is so low key that you have to look for it!! Breakfast is continental, but with cereals, fruit, cheese, meat, toast, croissants and muffins you will not go hungry!I've saved the best to the last ..... the guy on reception was really friendly and helpful. Definitely somewhere to be highly recommended!

Great for the priceThought the hotel was really good for the cost. The free parking and breakfast is a bonus. I expected to get a slice of toast for breakfast but there was a good choice of cereal, pastries and fruit and they kept them topped up.For a cheap stay especially if you are going to a concert at the Academy (about 20 minute walk) it's ideal.

a very quiet place with a beautiful garden atrium or courtyard, but the (bath)room....Really a lovely place three minutes walk from the \"curry mile\". Very kind staff. The best about it is the courtyard which is a wonderful little garden, quiet, a place to relax.However: The room was not 100% clean, but acceptable, EXCEPT for the bathroom which had very bad mould on the outer walls, which had been painted over but that does not help with such mould ever. This definitely needs refurbishing, you don't want to breathe in there.... same old problem with poorly ventilated retro-fitted bathrooms. Needs some professional to fix that problem.Other than that (or if you just have another room...): Definitely a place to stay, extremely good value for money (double-ensuite sunday to monday for GBP 30 incl. Breakfast = cheap ! )

Lovely place south of the curry mileArrived 11pm after a short walk south of the curry mile on Oxford road. Neighbourhood seemed a little dodgy but no incidents to report. The hotel itself is lovely with the accommodation surrounding a gorgeous little courtyard with grass, trees and benches. A little oasis of calm in a big city!

Excellent quiet retreat from city chaosAfter a busy weekend in the area, this was an excellent place to spend a quiet night before driving south. Now I know it's here I'll use it again.
