Did the jobGood points - polite staff who speak good English. Hotel in a handy location.Bad points - room never tidied until 3.30pm, no iron in the room (had to borrow one from reception). Air conditioning was temperamental.On Saturday night there was a rock concert in the nearby square - otherwise, with a 'quiet room' it really was surpisingly quiet at night.

Beautiful cool calm oasis, we were here in August and it was a refuge from the blistering sun. The service was excellent and we were very well taken care of. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing base in a great location.

Excellent Hotel, made our trip relaxing, comfortable & worry free!The Hotel is best accessed form Banco de Espana tube stop. We got off at Gran Via in the middle of Friday night party time and found the hotel hard to find as we have never been to Madrid before. This meant a few wrong turnings and walking past people who had been out enjoying Madrids nightlife a little too much! However arriving at the hotel we were made very welcome and quickly seen too. The staff were friendly, courteous and always had a smile! The room was quality, clean and the bathroom very big and spacious all newly fitted with power shower. The bed comfy, just what was required!Being just off the main strip it was quieter but lacked a view of the city but you can't have everything. You are only 2 minutes from the the Metro system and i would advise anyone at the airport to use this as it cost 11 euros for a 3 DAY PASS all over the city!All in all I would recommend this to couples as you are in a lively district but the hotel allows you to relax and unwind with good food ( a little pricy) and a very clean bar with plenty on offer.

Lovely hotel, a bargain for the price we paid. Booked 5 rooms for a group of us and the hotel looked after us well. Restaurant was expensive but location was great so easy to find other options. Recommended!
