I have been to Mazatlan numerous times and I really have no complaints about the hotel. Having breakfast on the beach is a great way to start the day.The location is within walking distance of everything in the gold zone. I'm going back. Also, thanks to Orbitz for keeping me informed about the "flu" outbreak.

Los Sabalos was a very nice hotel as long as you stayed in the more expensive rooms. Our hot water was brown and there were bugs ever where. A friend met us there on the third night and we asked to be upgraded to a room with two beds. The staff upgraded our room without a charge, it was well worth it. We had a wonderful view of the ocean from the 5th floor. We really liked that once you entered the room most outside noise could not be heard. The staff cleaned everyday, and the grounds were very clean. There are plenty of dining options in the area. I would stay here again as long as I stayed in a more expensive room.

The service was poor and the loud music at Joe's Oyster bar which is on the hotel grounds was loud and went every night until 4:00 a.m. I could not sleep and I heard others say the same thing.

This hotel is in a great spot. Its near plenty of restaurants, shopping, bars, clubs, etc. I went with 4 of my girlfriends and we had a blast! The staff is friendly, the food was great and the Pacifico was perfect! We are planning to possibly make this an annual trip. Even though we caught the tail-end of a hurricane (2 days), everyone did their best to cater to us, including the General Manager. I will most definitely come back to this hotel.

The hotel needs plenty of improvements. The rooms were outdated, I rented a suite that had two rooms, one of the rooms didn't have AC, also no coffe maker, fridge or even an alarm clock. This was definitely a two star hotel.

We spent a week here in July 06. The fitness facility is very nice but was originally just for health club members, not hotel guests. We asked to use it and they allowed us to use it at the same time each day, which was great. The hotel tries to accomodate everyones needs.
