I was visting with my adult daughter and it was our first time to Montreal. The Lord Berri was at a very convenitent location for touring and sightseeing and easy to get to; room was clean and comfortable; staff was very helpful; and, lots of nearby restaurant choices at reasonable prices. The hotel only had 4 parking spaces - which were taken by the time we arrived - but there was a parking lot immedately next door with loads of space. We both thought the room was a bargain.

This hotel is great for me since it is close to a metro and close to Old Montreal. I have been coming to this hotel for over 5 years and the staff is the best around, always friendly and willing to help any way they can. Some rooms are smaller than others and it is a real treat to get the larger rooms. I am not sure what can be done about the parking situation-which I say is the only negative at this hotel.

The staff was outstanding,also a great location & flat screen TV in room. The bed was not very comfortable, but the sheets were comfy & clean. I enjoyed my stay at The Lord Berri Hotel and I would stay again if I come back in town. The people who work there are very tourist friendly and all spoke English with out treating me like I was dumb for not speaking French. They had great suggestions to where we should visit and cared if we were happy. It was a nice experience. Never did find the ice machine though.

I never stayed at the Lord Berri preferring to stay at the Gouverneur, a short distance away. With the decline in the dollar and increased rates at the Gouverneur I decided to try the Lord Berri. I will definitely return. It was much more tranquil than the Gouverneur. The Lord Berri is a short walk from the Berri bus station. Excellent restaurants are nearby as well as a great bakery. St Catherines street is a short walk from the hotel. For first time visitors to the village as well as more frequent visitors to Montreal, the Lord Berri is a comfortable, affordable, conveniently located hotel.

Hotel Lord Berri is a very no-frills experience. We paid $99 for the night, and I wouldn't pay any more. I'd say the only reason the super 8/travelodge-esque hotel is worth that price would be its superb location in relation to the Montreal night life. If you need a place to rest your head and not much more... this works. super bonus: Access to metro is only two blocks away.

Upon arriving at the Hotel, my reservation from Orbitz had not been sent yet so i had to come back later. The staff member who checked me in was also very snotty, as if he was upset that i had recieved a good deal on the room.

This hotel has a very convienient location just one block from the metro and quaint dining and walking distance from parks and old Montreal. The staff was very accomadating and always cordial. I had a Great Stay

my experience was not bad due to my short stay. while at lord berri i needed to see a friendly smile and great greeting. that would of made the construction that was going on invisible. i didn't notice any signs stating that the hotel apologizes for our it's appearance while making lord berri better for you.

Good desk staff, elevator, gift shop, cleaning ladies. TV control was wired and difficult to manipulate. Lord Berry is a fine, moderately established in a convenient location in Montreal near Catherine Street and the university. It has good air conditioning in summer. It is also favored by tour companies and has many tour groups daily.

"The hotel was great. Nice people, convenient location near metro station. The resturaunt was fairly priced wth good food and good service. our room was comfortable with 2 queen beds. Only thing that was a bit surprised with was the $15/day parking charge, though it was secured and underground. Would definately recommend."

I have stayed here many times. The location is close to downtown and Old Montreal. This is a basic hotel room, but it is clean. There is a restaurant in the hotel; however, I have never eaten there. There are several restaurants within walking distance.

Very clean rooms. Sheets getting rather threadbare. This hotel is just steps from one of the city's principal Metro (subway) stations and close to the Bus Terminal and Gay Village. At night the location does not have heavy traffic or noisy bars. The rooms are clean and in good repair.

"This is a no thrills hotel located close enough to old Montreal by CQAM. Unfortunately, the large park near the hotel had many homeless people in the park and my family did not feel safe in the evening walking around. The hotel staff was friendly, the room was clean and the restaraunt was a good value."

Great location near St. Catherine St. with short walk to historic Old Town and esplanade at the beautiful St. Lawrence River. Phone staff very accommodating in giving me exactly the quiet upper room I wanted. Desk staff friendly and helpful. Details like fast elevator, coffee maker and fridge in room are big pluses.

It was clean, the staff friendly and it's located a block from the metro station. The rooms were a bit dark. Lord Berri was a good hotel for the price. It was clean and convenient to the metro station, restaurants, bus lines etc. I would definitely stay there again.

My stay at the Lord Berri hotel has always been pleasant. While lacking some of the amenties of bigger chaies i.e. a pool and things, the place is always kept clean. The location cannot be beat! The Berri/UQUAM metro stop is less then one block away. Restaurants is right at the corner. Just one block away is St. Denis street for the young/hip straight crowd. The hotel is also just a short walk to China Town and Old Montreal. It really is a great place to stay to see all the sites Montreal has to offer.
