The Longboat Key Club and Resort is a 410-acre private resort and club located on the island of Longboat Key, just off the mainland of Sarasota. The resort is located just one hour from Tampa and just two hours from Orlando attractions. Eight miles from Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport, 52 miles south of St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport and 60 miles south of Tampa International Airport. The area attractions include Mote Marine Aquarium, Ringling Museums, Selby Botanical Gardens, Jungle Gardens, Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, Asolo Center for the Performing Arts, Florida West Coast Symphony, Sarasota Opera & Sarasota Ballet, Golden Apple Dinner Theater, Florida Studio Theater, and The Players Theater. Deep sea fishing, charter sailing and sightseeing boat cruises are also available. The area is the winter home of the Cincinnati Reds and the Pittsburgh Pirates. I came in late and the gate person greated me. Very nice view of 400+ acre resort with private beach. On the drive back to the beach rooms. Night doorman very nice and staff very helpful. Check-in flawless, fast, and no-issues. Room and view were both excellent. Appointments were to par and room was clean and neat. Towels, soaps, scrubs from their own spa. Poolside towels, food & bev svc. Bikes, kayaks, boards, sail boat available in addition to beach wheelchair. Private beach was beautiful with all amenities included. Staff very nice. Overall a Great experience.

The room was nice and the staff really friendly and helpful. Scenery was beautiful! The wall were very thin and the pillows were really uncomfortable. My husband and I try to get away from the kids every year for our anniversary. Each year we choose somewhere different in Florida. This was the first time I had ever been to Sarasota. The hotel was truly beautiful. The location was breathtaking, and the staff was the friendliest I have ever encountered. The reviews that I read before we went on Priceline by previous guests were somewhat misleading. There were plenty of blankets, and the tiles weren't that big of a deal, and we didn't see one single problem with the wallpaper. However, the pillows were really uncomfortable, and the walls were very thin. The restaurant was incredibly good, and the price for both the food and room were really reasonable. I think people forget that there really isn't a lot of places on the water, that offer such a peaceful and breathtaking view and such close proximity to all the sights in Sarasota. Remember, my husband and I choose a different place every year, and this was one of the best, and most reasonably priced that we have ever encountered. We will definitely return. Highly recommend, just bring your own pillows!

Very Comfortable, beautiful, and relaxing. A little on the expensive side & it was worth the price. The restaurant was really expensive, but very classy.

Me and the wife wanted to get away for 4 days. The LBK was a great find for us. The place was one of the best stays we had, ever. The beach was the best and the sand was sooooo nice we took some home - lol. The room was great and the bed was the so comfortable. House Keeping was great, they did come late one day to clean, 2pmish. The view of the gulf is great but for a better view request Build 2 and a room on floor 4 or higher. My only could have been better was the cost of food/drinks. Two drinks from the bar will set you back 25 (10 each plus automatic tip added).

My stay at Longboat Key Club was superb. The room was recently renovated with a Key West decor. The room was large with a kitchen, dining and living area. The room boasted a 42 inch plasma t.v. The balcony was huge and overlooked the lagoon. St.Armands was within walking distance with it's great restaurants and shopping. The golf courses were great!

We stayed in a club suite studio room that was recently renovated. The room was beautifully decorated and very clean. The kitchen was fully equipped and suitable for preparing breakfast. The view from the expansive balcony was breathtaking. My five year old son enjoyed sitting outside and watching the ocean and listening to the surf. Overall, we were very pleased with the resort and its amenities. We would definitely return.

Paid a premium price for a four diamond rated hotel and received one diamond service and quality. Our ClubSuite Lagoon View was obstructed by construction equipment in front of our balcony which blocked our view. The second day we were finally moved to a different room where the toilet backed up in the bathroom. Bar service in the Pointe Lounge didn't exist - after we went to the bar to get our own drinks - the waiter showed up. The next morning's Sunday Buffet was * per person, with cold food, fresh fruit that was not ripe and poor table service. A 20% gratituity was automatically added for the poor service.

We were so impressed by the club suite. It has a small kitchen and had all the necessary tools and appliances. The room was new and very clean. The bathroom was large and had plenty of storage. Both kitchen and bathroom have granite countertops. The bed was excellent and the linens were very clean. We had a lagoon view and enjoyed it from the terrace. The beach was fantastic. This is the second time we have been here in a month and will always stay at this hotel everytime we're in Longboat Key. We love the quiet location and this is the next best thing to the beaches in the Bahamas! You will not regret a single moment here.
