excellent good value hotel only 8 mins from wembley stadiumafter seening some reviews on this hotel,i wasnt too hopefull!!,im not sure what those comment were going on about.I found this hotel to be a excellent choice for location, just of the m25 and right opposite the train line for a direct line to wembley stadium. The hotel staff were really helpfull from the moment we checked in untill we left, the room was clean and tidy and very comfortable, the duvets in particularly were lovely and soft and the fresh towels were a good quality. After a late night watching take that at wembley we pulled ourselves out of bed to sample breakfast before checking out, breakfast was really good with such a good choice.I will be using this hotel again not only for wembley trips, but also for trips into london,as this was the best value for money that i have spent for quite a while, thanks long island for a great stay!

excellent cheap accomodation!Stayed here while on a trip to Wembley - staff polite , accomodation clean , just wish the bar / restaurant opened before 5pm ! But all in all a perfect hotel to use while visiting london - just across road from train / underground station on metropolitan line .Would stay again.

More than adequate - Friendly, Clean and InexpensiveI'd read a few dubious reviews, particularly regarding service. My experience was very good. Sure, the rooms aren't fantastic and the decor probably needs a refresh but for £65 B&B with the proximity to Rail and Tube station (across the road), I can't complain.

Reception closes earlier than advertised (it was closed at 21:50 when I arrived), so it is necessary to go into the bar to get someone to let you check-in. The room is functional and clean - nothing flash but reasonable value.

A brilliant bargain!I've stayed at the Long Island Hotel before and have never been disappointed. The rooms are a bargain and are plenty big enough, and the breakfast is really good too. Excellent value for money.

In my opinionAlthough this hotel is in need of a bit of revitalisation, in my opinion, It was most comfortable, value for money and a pleasant stay, and I would stay there again if the need arose.

I think £40 per night is a bit step for 1 person, but have paid £30 on other occations to which i think is more reasonable for this hotel.

Basic hotel, but very good value for money. The outside of the hotel was very shabby and we thought it was closed down!,But staff were very friendly, room was very basic.Night club dodgy.....big fight there the night we stayed! The breakfast was fantastic!!! just what you need with a hangover!!!

Working weekend 3I have stayed in this hotel many times , had no major problem except for room 211 where the windows do no shut properly and allows noise from the tube station opersite, otherwise room was ok.

They do have quiet roomsAll is forgiven we had a wonderful quiet room 3rd floor at back of hotel. Slept amazingly well. Plenty of hot water. comfy bed, and top quality duvet. Lady on front desk professional, polite, with excellent customer relation skills.

Duty Manager told me all rooms were quiet.Upon arrival approximately 21.00 hrs requested a quiet room from the duty manager as am a light sleeper. He replied that all rooms were quiet. Hotel is accross the road from a mainline and underground station and busy road. Our room was on ground floor facing train station. Had a very disturbed night from trains and road noise. Hotel was almost empty and felt that duty manager should of listened to my request. The following morning at 7a.m. went to front desk. Spoke to charming front of house desk manager explaining my lack of sleep.....she said not to worry would move me to a quiet room game me all paperwork and keys for change of room.

Very very pleasedI was very pleased with all aspects of the accomodation. The room was very clean and tidy. It had everything that was required. The value for money was excellent. We were concerned about the possible noise from the club, but we had no problems at all. Breakfast was also very good. We have recently stayed in a 4* hotel in London at nearly three times the price and this beat that hands down. I have recommended the hotel to my sister in law who has relatives visiting in September. Thank you!

working weekendThe first room i was given did smell of smoking from the night before , and when to reception and ask to change rooms to which they did with no problem. The room given was a lot better , and the only thing wrong was the grouting around the bath was in a poor condition, but bath was in full operation. The bed was very comfortable , the curtains was dirty and need cleaning.

Basic but clean with comfortable bedsThe rooms are fairly basic, but clean and have everything you would expect for the price. The hotel reception closed prior to my arrival at 10pm, so had to go into the ajoining bar to get someone to let me in - the bar doesn't give a great first impression. The bed was very comfortable and the facilities as good as I expected for a low price hotel.
