The hotel hasno heat in the rooms,and the thin blankets did not keep us warm enough, and tht was end of October. I cannot imagine what the tempertaure would be like in the winter. There is no security or private place to keep your belongings and the doors are never locked. It is a decent neighborhood...but there is zero common sense in this area. The hotel staff barges in about 7:30am to turn the beds and inspect so you better be an early riser.

They could paint the bathrooms and make them bigger. Not even room to sit in the toilet. They should also fix the stairs. They are dangerous.

The Columbus Studios Hostel was an OK place to stay considering the prices in NYC. There was nothing special with this hostel. The bathroom was not the best. The hostel is old and needs alot of work. It is located in a good area, close to subway or bus. More than likely we would not stay here again. It was an experience. There was a nice little place to eat at the corner for breakfast.
