Location
This charming hotel, housed in a neo-renaissance style building, surrounded by a park of tall oaks, pines, palm trees and chestnuts, and overlooking a green valley, is located in Citta della Pieve, around 40 km from Perugia. Links to public transport and the bus station can be found in the immediate vicinity, while the Chianciano train station is about a 15-minute drive away. Terme di Chanciano and Trasimeno Lake can both be reached in about 30 minutes by car.
Facilities
The elegant family-friendly hotel offers a total of 24 rooms spread across 4 floors. It is complemented by richly decorated, ornamental cushions, 19th century paintings and floral compositions. The floors throughout the villa were done by the renowned craftsmen of Sassi di Assisi. By the entrance hall, on the right, there is a small American bar, with the reception and the breakfast hall to the left. In the elegant drawing rooms inviting armchairs and sofas, positioned around the fireplace, are upholstered in luxurious Spanish linen velvet, with floral designs of warm colours: terracotta reds, soft greens, corn yellows and apricot pinks. The classical stripe of the curtains echoes the same colour scheme. In the antique bookcase there is a selection of books for the guests' use. The hotel is air-conditioned and has 24-hour reception and check-out service, a currency exchange facility, a cafe and restaurant, lift access, conference facilities, Internet and WLAN access (both subject to fees), room and laundry services (both subject to fees), as well as cycle hire (fees apply). Parking facilities are available to guests arriving by car.
Rooms
The spacious rooms, decorated in country-house style, have comfortable beds with floral bedcovers, a small writing desk, and offer views of either the garden or the valley. The dark green carpet sound-proofs the rooms. All rooms come with en suite bathroom, hairdryer, double beds, individually adjustable air conditioning and heating systems, a minibar, satellite TV, a safe, direct dial telephone, as well as Internet access.
Sports/Entertainment
Danae Beauty Centre, with its elegant surroundings, is situated on the premises of the hotel and offers a new dimension of traditional beauty care as well as a variety of alternative treatments for face and body. In the 3 beauty rooms various treatments are carried out, such as lipo-treatment, physio-sauna with slimming algae, stone massage, shiatsu, peeling, lympho-drainage, foot treatment and body wrapping. A hot tub and sauna also feature. All spa treatments and facilities are subject to fees. The beautiful mosaic Turkish Baths and sun beds are available for guests, and yoga sessions can be organised on request. The treatments can be booked either separately or as individually tailored packages. In the garden there is a splendid, curvilinear swimming pool with children's pool, sun loungers, parasols, hydro-massage and mosaic floor.
Meals
The restaurant Le Sibille has several rooms of varying sizes (bookings from 15-30 people to 100-150 people) and offers a menu of traditional Umbrian specialities. During spring and summer time guests may dine on the restaurant's beautiful terrace and enjoy the stunning view of the Lake Trasimeno. The restaurant is suitable for a variety of events: banquets, wine and food tasting, private ceremonies, luncheon meetings and gala evenings.
