Great access to beach and nice bay view. comfortabe bed. Carpet stained. Very attentive staff. Excelent access to ocean, bay state parks plus biking trails. The beds are very comfortabe, which is something you don't usually get, even in 4 star hotels.

I went to San Diego to go both to the Comic Convention and to relax at a resort-type hotel. The Loews Coronado Bay was just perfect. It wasn't far from the Coronado Bay Bridge, so we had easy access to downtown San Diego and to the Convention Center. Plus it was far enough away so that there weren't crowds of people everywhere. The hotel itself is lovely. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We did have to remind them to make up the room one day. There seems to have been some confusion because we hadn't left the room yet when Housekeeping knocked on the door in the morning. The pool area is lovely and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Although there are lots of children staying at the hotel, the way the pools are set up, you don't have to be subjected to screaming children in order to relax by the pool. The Spa is fantastic. Very relaxing, and not ridiculously expensive. I actually got my hair cut there, and LOVE it! Pets are allowed at this hotel, and there were dogs around, but again, the way the hotel is set up you hardly notice them. I found the bed too soft for me, but it was comfortable and the linens were lovely. We had the Premium rooms, which had a view of the bay. If you can, I would recommend getting those rooms. The pool view rooms seemed like it would be noisy and the garden views were okay, but the water is gorgeous to look at. Loved this hotel, and would stay here again if I went back to San Diego.

Large rooms. No refrigerator, microwave, body lotion, coffee cups/creamer and slow service.

We would highly recommend this hotel. We had some activities planned in Coronado so the location was wonderful. The hotel had free shuttles to and from the town. We had one problem with breakfast not being served in a timely manner. The manager of the restaurant personally took our order and the staff continued to check on us to try to make things right. We were impressed with the layout, it is a quiet location and the staff is very friendly. Hint: if you like snacks, buy them in town as they are expensive at the hotel!

Great Resort, close to the beach with walking access. Heated swimming pools. Hotel restaurants were very expensive, too much so Was an excellent stay for a vacation. The Resort was close to the beach and right on Coronada. The resort had two hot tub locations and three different heated swimming pools. Plenty of options were available at the resort. They had bike rentals and boat rentals as well. I would stay there again.

My husband and stayed at Lowes for our anniversary vacation. They did not have a room with a king bed so they upgraded us to a Parlor suite which was right on the bay. We were thrilled until we realized that the bed was a couch pull out. The mattress was thin and the bed was very noisy. The first day we left the hotel and when we came back to the room there was no "signature turn down" service that they seem to be so proud of but instead there were three (yes...three) play pens in the center of our room! We called and had them removed and asked about the turn down service, they sent a maintenance man who took the playpens then tried really hard to accomplish the turn down service. Anyway, we never received the turn down service. The buffet breakfast on Sunday was actually very good and offered many choices. In the end I would not stay here again because of the lack of follow through with the turn down service, the poor judgment used when putting such a terrible bed in such a nice room, and the sheer randomness that led to there being a "kitchenette" with two refrigerators, a sink, and a coffee pot but nothing to warm food with. How is it a kitchenette if you cannot warm food?

Staff was great. Nothing included for price. $23/night parking. I was very pleased overall with the hotel. I was always addressed by name. I would not pay full price for this hotel though. Parking is outrageous, a bottle of watter is 6 dollars, and there is no refrigerator in the room except the mini bar. If I wanted a fridge, it was an additional 10/night. Internet was an extra 10/night. For a four star resort, I would expect some of those amenities to be included, not just available.

Nice scenery around the hotel. Lots of decent services. Friendly and prompt staff.... But the interior of the hotel hallways and rooms are just... I don't know - Boring? The lobby is great, the grounds are nice, the hotel's bar and restaurant are fantastic. The spa and fitness center are top rate. But the hallways and rooms feel thin, cheap, uninteresting. The paint color, the carpet - all felt like we were in a much cheaper hotel. The bed's are fantastic however! Very comfortable. The water rentals staff is great! We rented a tandem kayak and did a sunset gondola ride - But both were overpriced for an hour drift through what is basically a marina. And the 'antipasto' plate we got on the ride was sliced tomatoes with mozzarella, bologna and some olives. No bread or pita or cheese or crackers... And we provided our own wine. But again - the staff was fantastic! Very friendly guys. Lastly - the first room we were offered was silly. It faced another wing of rooms, no privacy and no view. But we were placed in a nearly perfectly ideal room, facing out to the water, very private - very quickly and without fuss. Why do hotels do that? Give you a crap room first, then when you politely request a better one, they just put you into it. Why must we do this dance hotel industry? Just give us the good room the first time and reduce the price of the lesser rooms (and reduce the wear and tear on your bell staff).

Better than expected, very clean and relaxful. Got in very late but was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a suite with an ocean view. It was beautiful!

My main complaint about the hotel is the 19 a day parking that you have to pay for to park in an underground facility in too small of parking spaces. While we were staying there were 3 proms going on. While the noise from the prom (and wedding festivities in a different part of the hotel) did not disturb us, the lack of parking due to the several hundred people there for the events did. At times there was no parking. Otherwise, the rooms were adequate, the balcony nice, they are very pet friendly. But I wouldn't stay there again. There are too many other options in San Diego.

Ambience of the place Hard to find. My daughter & I stayed here one night only but it was the best hotel we have ever stayed at! For being such a classy resort, it was definitely not stuffy at all, but a very friendly atmosphere; we had a very comfortable feeling throughout the hotel and the staff couldn't have done anything better. Excellent choice. We enjoyed ourselves "just kicking back"!

The view of the harbor lights was breath taking at night. The distance to Coronado downtown shops and ferry. The rooms are large and with private sitting balconies. The bathroom is design with a modern spa like feeling. This is definitely a dog friendly resort. Guest walk around sporting their pooches everywhere. If you are afraid of man's best friend this not the place to be.

Very pretty andnice staff. Parking spaces a little small. I would go there again and parking fees were $22 for self park and $28 or valet.

Very nice property, secluded. Staff was excellent. Self parking can be a bit of a challenge when arriving late at night. Very tropical feel at the property. Nicely secluded with easy beach access. Rooms are nicely appointed and have good views of both the marina and surrounding bay. Staff throughout the resort are very friendly and helpful.

Very friendly, clean, location for us close to the Cays. Paying for parking $22 per day self park, no way around it. Love it, reasonable retreat rates, very nice resort. Will definitely rebook, parking convenient to rooms. Beautiful area, family and pet friendly. Even though we don't have pets, they are not a bother. Love it!

Great hotel for the money. Construction at 8:00 am is not good!

Great room, great staff, great view, great facilities. When they couldn't provide us with a room with a single bed, but only had two queens, which we didn't want because they take up too much room, the upgraded us to a suite, which was simply wonderful.

It was located in Coronado, CA. Under construction. Conventions/meetings seem to come first. Clean. Did not live up to expectations though. If I were to visit Coronado again, this hotel would not be in my top five choices. Hotel under construction/renovation. Also, far removed from Coronado, restaurants (other than its own that have limited hours/service), etc. Plus, you pay a daily parking rate of $22. I guess this is the standard in Southern California nowadays.

Beautiful hotel and fantastic location. It's my favorite hotel and only place I'll stay in San Diego.
