Its name is derived from trees which had all but the top few branches cut off, called lobsticks, used as trail markers and/or rendezvous points by the early voyageurs nearly two hundred years ago. A little expensive as we pulled in at Midnight and left in the early morning.

King size beds room size amenities/ restaurant pool service. Would be better if every room had computer access. Very enjoyable experience highly recommend.

I normally have good results from online travel website, but the room I booked was not available. It was also not available for the other group we were traveling with. The staff tried nothing to help us out. They did not care. There are a lot of hotels in the area, would recommend one of those.

My overall experience feels like living in a dorm, our room was in a basement level, the room is small, very old carpet, it makes bad odor. We had to move to another room because of the odor. The only thing that I like is the bathroom is unexpectedly clean, it's small, but clean.

I absolutely adore Japser. This is a great place to stay for the price you pay. Staff are friendly and helpful. However, I'm not used to being bombarded with cigarette smoke filling the non smoking hallways. And the dining room hours are often hit and miss, but there are several restaurants near by, and the outdoor hot tubs make it all worth it after a day of skiing.

The Lobstick Lodge is located in beautiful Jasper Park. The best I can say about the hotel was that is was functional. It provided a central location from which we could see the beautiful countryside and animals located in the park. The beds were OK. Because the hotel has carpet over older wood floors all traffic in the hallway was heard in our room. If there are children on your floor you will hear them.
