The two of us arrived at different times and from very different directions, meeting at the hotel. This didn't faze the staff, who made sure everything worked smoothly. All the staff suggestions for activities and meals were superb--they really know the city. The location on Robson was perfect for us, with tons of restaurants, window shopping, an easy walk to Stanley Park and English Beach. All in all, wonderful!

Vancouver was the perfect mix of city life and outdoor activity for us: fantastic restaurants, historical areas, museums, shows/concerts, shopping, nightlife, and a phenomenal public transit system side by side with whale watching tours, temperate rain forests, Stanley Park, dramatic canyons, gorgeous scenery, etc. A phenomenal city - and the Listel is right in the middle of all of it.

After searching for a quick trip to Vancouver and making last minute plans, we found a reasonable rate at the Listel. We originally wanted to stay near Stanley Park, but prices of hotels were either too high or sketchy. The Listel is located near all the shops, my teenagers loved that, and the hotel was clean and the valet and front desk were helpful. I would defiantely recommend this hotel to a friend.

We loved the location of the hotel on Robson St. It was very convenient to use public transportation from here. We absolutely did not need a car! Tons of shopping, restaurants, and people watching! We walked to Stanley Park and the beach from here as well. The staff was very polite and accomodating, even anticipating our questions...We felt very safe and secure and liked the fact that our hotel keys were required to use the elevator. Our room was extremely quiet even though the restaurant had jazz music each night. We would not recommend this hotel for families with children - the children would find it too boring. Our only disappointment was that our room had only 1 queen bed and not 2 queens or a king as our confirmation indicated. Not a very big deal in the overall scheme of things....

its located on the busiest Robson Street. good for night activities but might not good for those who are looking for peace.

You get a good feeling from friendly treatment by staff. The location is excellent. Room was spacy and comfortable.

The hotel staff was very helpful, and plenty of stuff within walking distance.

The website for the Listel Hotel made me think that the works of art throughout the building would make for a memorable visit. However, I was disappointed to discover that the building was not especially unique and that the works of art were sprinkled through the building more as an afterthought. The location was nice, as the front door opens to Robson Street, one of the busiest shopping districts in Vancouver. The area to the south is also a huge plus because you?re a five to ten minute walk from Davie Street where many boutique restaurants are located. However a more centrally located hotel would have been useful for seeing all the sights.

Stayed at the hotel during the Jazz Festival and was treated to terrific jazz at the O'Doul's in the hotel. Contemporary art throughout the hotel was tasteful and interesting. Staff was incredibly professional and helpful, even when they were busy. Located on the edge of the busiest shopping stretch on Robson St., so close to stores, coffee, crepes and restaurants. Loved the free coffee service in the morning: french press coffee delivered to your room at the time you select. Would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat!

This hotel has been "redecorated", but they seem to have missed some things. The bathroom was disgusting - old yellow grout between old tiles in the tub, soap scum on the sliding shower enclosure, dirty floor, and non-working fan. The beds were typical, low quality hotel mattresses with two flat-as-a-pancake foam pillows on each bed. When we asked for more pillows they did at least bring us a couple of much nicer, down alternative pillows - but apparently you have to ask for them. ALSO, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD FOR "INCIDENTALS"!!! THEY CHARGED MY ACCOUNT * WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION (WHICH I WAS LATER TOLD IS THEIR NORMAL POLICY) AND I HAVE YET TO GET IT BACK 3 DAYS LATER. There are much nicer hotels on or near Robson St., I highly suggest you choose one of those.

We got a room with two queens for 4 adults to share. It was bit small. Nice television, well stocked bar and goodies. Complimentary coffee service in the AM. We went to museums, shopping, restaurants. We would have liked more info in the room on restaurant options. Taxis were easy to get.

I stay here often on business trips. The rooms are always clean and will stocked. The upgrade to the museum floor is well worth the extra dollars. Would recommend this hotel to any one.

Romantic weekend in Vancouver, but Hotel Listel wasn't anything special. I would pay a little more next time to stay at a nicer hotel.

We relied on various positive reviews and saw a special via Orbitz when we booked our hotel. We were pretty wow'ed by the helpfulness of the staff and the nice central location on Robson St. It was a short walk to Stanley Park and close to other neighborhoods to walk around as well. It's attached to a pretty nice restaurant too (O'Douls). To my knowledge, there was nothing immediately wrong with anything in the hotel unless you want to be REALLY nitpicky with the look of the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Very conveneint location, walking distance to a lot, short drive to the rest. Close to Stanley Park, lots of restaurants. Pakring is a bit pricey, but not terrible considering the location.

This is a great hotel in a wonderful location in downtown Vancouver. The room was spacious and clean-- with very modern furnishings. Yet, it was still warm and inviting. I would definitely recommend it.

The bed was the most luxurious place we have ever slept in. The location was conveniently located in the middle of Robson Street. The hotel is in walking distance to many of Vancouver's main attractions. The rooms were clean and the air conditioning was welcoming. There were a lot of dining options. The staff was friendly but not invasive. The maids were chirper.
