It boasted beautiful views, clean spacious rooms, and a friendly staff. Two twin beds pushed together to equal a king bed. This hotel was beautiful-the views matched by only one other in Interlaken. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They offer complimentary bicycles which was a treat not to be missed. I would highly reccomend this hotel!

A fabulous hotel that catered equally for the single traveller (something most hotels forget about). The location was great and the staff beyond fabulous!

This is a first-rate hotel and I have no idea where any various negative comments have come from. The location is away from the hordes of tourists but still very convenient. Some rooms have a river view or a view of the Jungfrau. As an old hotel, the rooms are larger than in the newer ones. The restaurant serves gourmet French cooking so if you want plainer Swiss food, ask them to send you to the Laterne Restaurant which is not too far away. The breakfast buffet is outstanding and the staff very friendly.

The curtain was dirty, and the bathtub was not properly cleaned. The room was very small. I do not believe that this hotel is worth the 5-star category. However, the breakfast was excellent.

Charming hotel right on the river. Nice spacious rooms. Friendly staff. Great breakfast buffet. Excellent value. Staff is full of good suggestions for things to do.
