I thought the hotel was beautiful. The room was great. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Very clean. My only issue was that parking is listed as an amenity but it actually costs $45 to park your car overnight. I went to the restaurant for lunch and walked back out. Way to expensive and they have some odd things on the menu. The location is great, just a few block from The National Mall. I would stay there again. The advertise a free welcome basket which includes a map, when we called to get one they were out which I thought was odd for a weekend. You would think that would be one thing they would have for weekend visitors.

The Liaison Capital Hill, is a beautiful hotel. It is located steps from the Capital building and a just a few blocks from Union Station. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. The best part was the staff! Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The doorman in particular was out of his way nice to my girls and I. He always had a smile on his face and made small talk with my daughters and I, while waiting for a cab. I have to say that traveling alone with two kids under the age of 6 was a little scary for me, but my fears were put at ease once we were in the comfort of our hotel room.

When I checked in the desk help was very attentive to the fact that I was female business traveler and gave me direction to where I needed to be. Very friendly and helpful associates. The restaurant was awesome!

Hotel is Terrible! There is nowhere to eat in the hotel, (other than room service) . The hotel is under construction all I heard from 9am - 5pm everyday was the workers breaking out concrete for the entire 5 days we were there. Front desk staff was rude, and didn't care that the noise was terrible. This hotel is right next to the fire station so you hear fire trucks going in and out all night (keep in mind Washington D.C. fire department goes out at least every hour or so) Rooms were older and in need of a lot of work. For the price, there are nicer places to stay

It is very close to the Capital Hill,the Smithsonian Musuems and Union Station. The staff was wonderful and very helpful.

Location to capitol. No eating places nearby. Restaurant was horrible; staff not trained properly; terribly overpriced; food marginal in quality. There was not a coffee maker in room. A continental breakfast for this business hotel would be nice. Could not find the gift shop, no signs to indicate; elevators slow.

When you read a description of a hotel and see some reviews that were favorable, you tend to feel safe in your decision to choose that hotel to stay in on your vacation. Let's start with the description - Brand New, rooftop bar and pool, onsite restaurant, etc. We arrived and the service was horrible as well as unorganized. We were told once we got here that the rooftop bar is not open, the restaurant only serves food up until 10PM, no snack bar or fridge in the room. Pure bait and switch - "Come and enjoy the amenities" only to find out none of them are available. The beds were amazing but the paper thin walls allowed every noise in, including the ice machine from way down the hall. The bathroom was not clean either. Another issue is safety. Come give our hotel money so we can make you enter through the garage and not provide security inside or outside of the hotel. This place is terrible - DO NOT STAY HERE.

Great location. Clean hotel. Friendly staff. The corners next to the hotel were a little sketchy, with all the homeless people hanging out. There also wasn't very many restaurants (worth attending) nearby.

Every year my family goes to Washington DC during Police Week. The hotel prior was owned by Holiday INN and we enjoyed our stay. We were excited by the change in ownership and the hotel website review. What we actual got was totally different! NO BAR or DINNING FACILITIES, NO POOL. They sey up a makeshift bar in the lobby and charged 5.00 a beer! At the Billy Goat accross the street the same beer was 2.50. All of our groups room bills were screwed up and we were charged twice! The person we spoke to at the hotel was NOT friendly. Police week is one of the busiest times in DC plus this year there were major conventions as well. They were not ready and lost a lot of return business. Rates go up drasticly during police week and they should have given us all better deals for the experience.

Very comfortable. Would have preferred a more active location; Expensive hotel parking. Convenient location, a short cab ride from most of DC. Accommodations first rate. Hotel restaurant recently opened and is very good.

Wow! small rooms, no food, overbilled at checkout. Had to go across to the Hyatt for taxi's and food. Rate increased from 175 to 299.00. Not worth the money. As a small businessman representing the largest trade organization (Realtors) I will never trust or them or use them again! Staff was not helpful in the rate dispute! They refused to credit my bill with the deposit made earlier. Very bad experience!

To start off with - we booked a regular room and were put in a handicap accessible room which meant that we had to deal with a seat in the shower. The hotel obviously put us in the cheapest and most hard to book room in the hotel. We were directly above a fire station whose outside radio could be heard all night long. We had to turn up the room fan full blast all night just to attempt to get some sleep. The food was very expensive and not that great. The service was very slow. On the other side of the block was the homeless shelter. While walking back to the hotel late at night we continually felt unsafe. The good thing about the hotel is that is was within walking distance of the capitol and the museums. The room rate was the best we could find that close to the museumns. If you choose to stay here, make sure you get a room on the opposite of the building from the fire station. If you don't, I assure you that you will not get a good night's sleep.
