Before booking this hotel, I looked at the previous reviews as well as the location. We wanted to be near Fenway Park, yet within walking distance to the Freedom Trail, shopping, dining, etc. This was the perfect place. We were within walking distance to all we came to Boston to see. The room was spotless and had just the right luxurious touches we appreciate. The staff could not have been nicer. They were pleasant and helpful without fail. The trip was to celebrate our 35th anniversary and a return to relive some fond memories of my husband's days with the Red Sox. What a great city! What a classy organization the Red Sox are. It was a wonderful stay. We will be back and will stay at the Lenox again. Loved it!

Centrally located with parking right next door. Rooms need a little updating. Centrally located with everything worth seeing in Boston a short distance away. Parking isn't cheap but you can park your own car right next door for about $40 a day. Rooms need a little updating but the service was beyond excellent and made up for any shortcomings that we noticed.

First time with family in Boston, and the Lenox and its staff could not receive a stronger recommendation. Perfectly situated one block from 30-40 great places to eat on Newberry Street. Staff actually go out of their way to be polite and helpful, not just at checkin, but throughout the stay. It was amazing. Nice work out facilities, great beds, Irish Bar on site. I can not imagine ever staying anywhere else in Boston. Everything was perfect!!

Loved the hotel and its location. The room was very small. I would stay there again but with larger room.

Tremendous value for the location and level of service.

Great hotel in a good location with superb service. But I would not recommend it other than as a "special treat" because of the high price. If you just want a comfortable hotel you can get better in a similar location.

I stayed there with my fiancee for the weekend and what an amazing hotel. The hotel was clean, the rooms were great and they even had a irish pub which served great food as well. The service was first rate. The only issue was that there weren't any valets in front of the building or any spots so I had to park my car myself which normally isn't an issue.

The Lenox is a very elegant hotel with very friendly staff dedicated to making your stay the best it can be. The front desk personnel were extremely helpful and nice. The concierge made excellent recommendations for activities. The rooms were clean and 5 star all the way. The beds were so comfortable we didn't want to get out of bed in the mornings. The beds were not too hard and not too soft, just perfect with down comforters and soft down pillows. The hotel is located close to lots of great shopping, and close to the 'T' subway, and Boston commons. We found it very easy to walk everywhere around the city. I will definitely return to Boston with my family and when I do, I want to stay at the Lenox. I have stayed at some very expensive 5 star hotels and this one is every bit as nice as the ones that cost twice as much. I highly recommend this hotel.

Extremely accomodating! I saved $/night booking online. My boyfriend was sick with a stomach bug all weekend and the hotel made him chicken soup (not on the menu)! They even called the next day to see how he was feeling. Quite room too. Great shopping one block away and great restaurants in hotel with a martini bar too. Everyone from the valet to check in and room service was like being at Disney World. Everyone greeted us with a smile! I highly recommend this hotel. (I have traveled quite a bit around the world)

Location. Rooms were very small. Overrated. Not a good value for what you received in room quality.

Ideal location for walking around Boston, good local Irish Bar connected to hotel, with good food. Good breakfast in hotel, but expensive. Only thing missing is a spa and pool!

The Lenox offers an excellent experience. The structure is a beautifully restored turn of the century hotel. The location is within easy walking distance of anything in the Back Bay area and half a block from a subway station. Yet it is the friendly and attentive staff that make the difference. You always receive a greeting when entering the lobby. The staff cannot wait to help you with any request. Cleaning staff not only clean the rooms in the morning but return later in afternoon to turn down covers, turn bedside lamp on, leave cookies, etc. The entire building from the basement exercise room to the guest rooms upstairs are immaculate clean. Expect to see them touching up paint somewhere as no scuffs are allowed. Concierge and front desk staff are the most helpful that I have encountered. If you want a great experience in the Back Bay area while remaining a little distance away from the busyness of the major chain hotel towers, I would highly recommend the Lenox.

I live in NYC and know good hotels from bad ones or even average ones.. Great room, staff could not have been kinder, in a genuine way. The best possible city location, restaurants all around, a block from Newbury st and Prudential Center (a must see). Reasonable parking available right there. Three bars, two restaurants, what more could you ask for!

We had a wonderful weekend in beautiful Boston and the Hotel made it even more perfect! You can't improve on it.
